View 2 RepliesI have the updated gallery now for my Droid and I see the new folders, but the folder which had all the pictures I took with my phone's camera is now gone. If I go into the camera, I can see the pictures that way, but there used to be a "Camera" folder in the Gallery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Droid phone 2 days ago. Great phone! But I have many things to learn. I have a question about the saved pictures. Why is it that when I open my photo gallery there are more than just the "all photos" folder. Seems when I take a picture, or save one off the Internet or transfer the pics off my old phone, that it makes a new folder for each different set of pics and puts all the pics in the "all pictures"folder. Is there any way I can just have the "all pictures" folder as the only one?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI took a bunch of photos this weekend and they are sitting in the camera folder in the gallery. How do I save them to the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems trying to use files after moving them.
Example:
I took a bunch of pictures at an event, the created a folder for that event and moved the pictures into it. I can still open the pictures one at a tiem by navigsting too them, but the galleary app still shows the thumbs, but cannot find them.
Example 2:
I downloaded an mp3 for a ring tone, and while in the downloads folder the music player found it and I was able to set it at a ring tone. But I tried to create a ringtones folder, and then music could not find it, and just playing it by opening the file would not allow me to set a ring tone.
So how does this work? I have seen references here to folders called Media and ring tones, but I see nothing like that in the file system on my phone. Where does one put music if they want to actually use the music player?
Is the DCIM folder the ONLY one that works with the photo gallery? Is the Downloads folder the ONLY one that works with the music player?
So my gallery has the typical folders in it such as Camera shots and I am familiar with the option to turn on "Default Folders' such as My Favorites, All Photos, All Videos and All downloads. I also have a couple folders that I created and uploaded to the root directory of the SD card to be recognized and displayed by the Gallery. For SOME REASON I have two OTHER folders that are found in my SD card that are also ANNOYINGLY showing up in my gallery. One is called "icons" with about 91 little...you guessed it, ICONS...and is associated with the Maps and My Maps app on my SD card in the path .../sdcard/maps/mymaps/icons/...
The other folder that showed up is "tmp" associated with the FreeTube app in the path .../sdcard/FreeTube/tmp/... First WHY are these folders randomly and "without my asking" showing up in my Gallery app? Secondly, PLEASE tell me there is a way to get rid of them. I'm a bit annoyed that they are listed in folders in my Gallery App but the MUCH BIGGER ANNOYANCE is their inclusion in my slideshows...I see 91 stupid little map icons in my slideshows and screensavers!
If I go to the Gallery I get Camera Shots, All Photos, and All Videos. How can I create a new gallery folder to be visible here so that I can classify my pictures more easily. I tried creating a new folder on the SD card within DCIM100Media and using an app that rescanned the SD card but no luck.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid just running stock 2.0.1. What I am looking for is a photo/picture gallery app that simply let's you select the folders that you want to display in the app. I was fine with the stock gallery for awhile, but then I started getting a variety of apps that store pictures in various folders (the worst one being Touchdown for Exchange which puts almost every attachment in a new folder). The stock gallery now takes forever to load up, as it is loading a TON of folders with images in them. Really it makes it almost useless at this point. This was the main reason I switched to MixZing for audio, as it let me narrow my library down to the few folders that actually mattered.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I delete this folder and why is it displaying in my HTC Gallery? Im a new Android user, made the switch from an iphone 3g and I am NOT looking back!
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to move pictures from one folder to another in the Gallery? Or do I need a file manager.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated to Froyo recently on my HTC Desire and noticed that the preview picture on my gallery folders changed. Is there an easy way to change the preview picture of the folder? It seems to be using the first picture in the folder. I tried deleting the folder and recreating it from my computer but didn't work. The first picture in the folder also doesn't seem to be related to the alphabetical order, or date order so not sure why it's even picking that picture as the first one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to the Galaxy Note 3. While setting up the phone, I selected a wallpaper that I had downloaded into the Gallery and set it as the wallpaper for the LOCK screen. It worked with no issues.
I then wanted to create a folder to move the picture into and the Gallery gave me that option. I created a folder named PICTURE A and moved the pic that I was using as a wallpaper for the LOCK screen into it.
I went to look for the folder later and it's not there. It's still using the picture I designated for the LOCK screen, but the folder is nowhere to be found. I've looked using My Files, looked in the Storage section of Settings and thru all the apps and such. Nothing.
I just noticed today when I opened my gallery that there is a folder titled "240x400." It has fifty random images that look like backgrounds for something. This folder has never been there before today and the only app I've added recently is Autokiller. Where the heck did this thing come from? Running CM6 if that helps.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently have G+ to sync photos. In my gallery, every photo syncs just fine except for the Instant Upload folder.
In the G+ app, under photos - Instant Upload album displays the images just fine.
In short, gallery shows Instant Upload as a blank folder but G+ shows it full of picture.

Is there a photo gallery application that allows you to move photos from one folder to another? I use a File Manager to do this, but I'm trying to help out a novice user on an Evo; the Evo Photos application doesn't seem to allow you to move photos.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSuppose that into images folder I have several subfolders, say 25. I would like a way to display in Gallery say 2 folders, with the pictures that I desire into each one, without having to physically moving the pictures (because for example each subfolder corresponds to a month, like nokia does: 201201, 201202, etc.)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a picture attachment from my Gmail that is an 'unwanted picture' which I opened when I went to Gallery/Download folder. It is currently the default preview picture now for the Download folder. I've already deleted this picture from the Download folder, but anytime I download a new picture attachment, it still uses the 'unwanted' pic as the folder preview.I've even tried manually deleting the Download folder using AstroFile Manager.Everything I've tried doesn't seem to work.I desperately need help because currently I'm not able to download any picture from my Gmail account without that stupid picture showing up as the preview for the Download folder.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMuch better IMHO. New Gallery set up?
View 22 Replies View RelatedWell the issues with the stock launcher have been fixed from the early days of 2.0.1 and everyone can have up to 7 screens without root. Now that 2.2 is out and the launchers work fantastic on it, i think app developers should start working on a new Gallery for the droid.. I cant stand the stock gallery, its glitchy, laggy, messes up all the time and doesnt show all my photos. Its a worthless piece of trash IMO. I cant even show friends my photos i took on my DSLR on the phone because it will never load them.
View 26 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to make embedded folders? I'm wanting to put a folder inside of a folder. I don't see any possible way. Does any one know if it's possible?
View 2 Replies View Relateddid a search and didnt find anything relating to my issue.I installed a program (photofun) and i regret it. i tried it out with one pic and when i went to the gallery to view it, it would just force close when i would scroll. So i uninstalled the program but when i enter the gallery, pick a folder, and try to scroll, then it will force close. cannot scroll at all bcuz it will force close.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a quick way to refresh the gallery? I download pictures from the browser, so it automatically adds them to the gallery. But i don't like my downloaded pictures showing up in the gallery so i made a hidden folder within download/ called .pics/. after i download pictures i always use a file manager to move them to the hidden folder. but when i check the gallery, it sill shows shows them as being in the download/ folder. the only way Ive been able to refresh the gallery, to hide the hidden images, is to reboot the fone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been successful in removing album art from their photo gallery? Does anyone else have this issue?I tried adding a .nomedia text file in the albumthumbs folder but it didn't work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow Gallery works? I have on my card a folder that I created Pictures.
Within that folder I have created sub folders:
Family
Friends
Picture ID
Wallpaper... with a total 115 pictures
Well I noticed that in a folder called DCIM, there is a folder called .thumbnails, which seems to be copying the pictures(some 42 pics) from the Picture folder.
My main issue is that when I tap on Gallery it opens a black screen with folders that remain blank and nothing...
I am forced to power down because after 5 minutes the Droid is so sluggish its not usable.
Should I be deleting the folders that I created? If so where do I put my pictures?
Slacker, Pandora live streaming apps freezes at work, low signal in the room I work in and I can't work out a the cafe so I am transferring my audio files from my last phone SD to the 16gb but which folder? Old card folder >My Music

***IF YOU HAVE 3D GALLERY FROM MARKET ALREADY INSTALLED, UNINSTALL FIRST*** 10x9.com/xh. Installed straight from sdcard and it runs perfectly, and boy is that pinch preview feature fun. I believe since it runs off the sdcard it loads gallery pictures faster, or at least appears to do so on my end. Runs perfect on my Droid X so I thought i'd post it here.
After i take a photo i go to view the photo in the gallery and i can see the thumbnail, like the small preview but when i go to enlarge the photo to make it full screen, its just a black screen until i restart my phone than it works fine any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open gallery I have folders like: Camera Pictures, Camera Videos, Camera Media, All Pictures, Downloads, and Pictures. I want 2 folders: one for pictures, and one for videos. any way to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have never had any gallery problems that i can remember, but all of a sudden my images/folders arent showing in the gallery. I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.
