Is there a photo gallery application that allows you to move photos from one folder to another? I use a File Manager to do this, but I'm trying to help out a novice user on an Evo; the Evo Photos application doesn't seem to allow you to move photos.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Droid phone 2 days ago. Great phone! But I have many things to learn. I have a question about the saved pictures. Why is it that when I open my photo gallery there are more than just the "all photos" folder. Seems when I take a picture, or save one off the Internet or transfer the pics off my old phone,that it makes a new folder for each different set of pics and puts all the pics in the "all pictures"folder. Is there any way I can just have the "all pictures" folder as the only one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems trying to use files after moving them.
Example:
I took a bunch of pictures at an event, the created a folder for that event and moved the pictures into it. I can still open the pictures one at a tiem by navigsting too them, but the galleary app still shows the thumbs, but cannot find them.
Example 2:
I downloaded an mp3 for a ring tone, and while in the downloads folder the music player found it and I was able to set it at a ring tone. But I tried to create a ringtones folder, and then music could not find it, and just playing it by opening the file would not allow me to set a ring tone.
So how does this work? I have seen references here to folders called Media and ring tones, but I see nothing like that in the file system on my phone. Where does one put music if they want to actually use the music player?
Is the DCIM folder the ONLY one that works with the photo gallery? Is the Downloads folder the ONLY one that works with the music player?
I want to develop an android photo gallery application. In which user should allow to select multiple images from the gallery and then user have to click submit button. When the user clicks the submit button then the selected images should be copped to a different folder.
If any one knows this please help me how to do it. If possible please share the code. Or give some URL so that i can get some useful information.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've made folders and added pics to the sd card while i had it in my computer but the stock photo app won't recognize the folders but it does see the pics and puts them in both the stock folders (All Photos, Camera Shots).
Why can't the stock photo app (photos) recognize the folders I put on my sd card? I'm fairly tech. savvy but can't figure this photo app file structure for the life of me! Is there a photo/camera app that asks where and what folder I want camera pics to be saved too?

I got saving working, and now I want to automatically refresh so they don't have to turn off their phone before it shows up in the gallery. I plugged my droid to the computer and dropped the photos in the "private" folder, however, they still show up in "Gallery", and are visible and do not need a password.

I sync all my photo from PC to Google Photos and sync back to my android devices (Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Acer Iconia A500). I can view the photos in Gallery but when I try to setup wallpaper (Multiple Live Wallpaper, Wallpaper Wizardrii), I'm not able to see those photos/albums. I also not able to find the actual file for those photos.

The problem I have is that each image in the list has to be resized before it is displaying the view. Is there a way to link to the thumbnail view instead of the full size image so that I don't have to resize them or is there a way to load each picture as it is sized instead of having to wait for them all.
I have the HTC Incredible and my phone started saving photos to phone memory, instead of the SD card. I want to move the photos with Astro File Manager from emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA to the SD card. Is there a way (with Astro or anything else) where I can move all the photos from phone memory to the SD card?

HTC Photos
Good:
-Only shows my pics, not the album art and ebook art stored elsewhere on SD
-Has a simple Facebook pics option
-Uploads direct to Picasa/FB,etc
Bad:
-No Picasa albums viewable (most of my pics are on Picasa)
-Cant multi tag pics (needed for doing bulk uploads/shares)
Nexus1 Gallery
Good:
-Beautiful interface!
-Shows Picasa galleries automatically
-Has multi-tag
-Uploads direct to Picasa/FB,etc
Bad:
-Shows EVERYTHING on my sd card, and has no option to remove pics/directories
-No basic editing options (crop,rotate,etc as the HTC app has)
-No Facebook albums display
