Motorola Droid X :: Sms Time Stamps Are Not Correct - Since The Official 2.2 Froyo
Sep 23, 2010im using handscent sms and my timestamps are off by 3 hours they r 3 hours ahead then wut it really is.this is only for the received text the send texts are the correct time is anyone else experiencing this? know with the leaked 2.2, people had the same problem and was fixed with an update from hand scent. has anyone figured a solution to this? this has only happened since yesterday when the official 2.2 froyo was released.

Nov 29, 2010I live in Portugal and bought my HTC Legend for about 2,5 months with no carrier (not rooted). For the last month I moved to Spain to work, and I'm having some trouble with the hour mechanism on the phone. I've set the phone clock to the correct time and Time Zone (GMT +1). But since the SIM card is from a portuguese carrier (Vodafone PT), maybe it is configured has beeing GMT 0.
Well all the time settings are manually configured and I've turned off the automatic settings.
What happens is that every week I must pay attention to the clock, because the phone changes the time automatically to one hour early. I think that this must be related to the configuration of the SIM card, but my configurations are all manual.
Does anyone have a similar problem? can it be corrected or is a known bug with Android/phone?

Aug 2, 2010I just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. When i tap on the widget the screen it takes me to shows the correct time but when I go back to the homescreen it's back to eastern. Any idea what's going on here?

Mar 21, 2010I have read around a bit but I am kinda confused between different phones/versions using metamorph.
Last time I tried it and restarted I got stuck in a bootloop =P. I made a COMPLETE backup so going to give it a try shortly.
As I understand, I download metamorph from the market, move my themes into my sdcard metamorph folder, then basically run metamorph. I think BB.9 has busybox already taken care of.
I don't need to clear/wipe anything or whatnot for this to work correct, right?

So now I only have my droid there in lies the problem what is the easiest way to get a house address inputted, the voice input never gets the correct address unless you are doing one liners. If I try to spell it out before I finish it times out, and I can't seem to consistently input it through the search bar on the home screen if I do it will only show a map of the place and does not offer the navigation to the place what am i doing wrong. It was so bad today i pulled out a paper map. Mar 16, 2010I have a probably silly and stupid question. I did the sbf file to bring my phone back to stock (I have to give my phone to a family member, long story). Anyway, when I did the sbf file it recovered all my apps, and one of them was SetCPU.
SetCPU won't run unless it has root access correct? I mean the fact that it was installed (and then uninstalled) it can't change anything without root access to the device correct?

Sep 19, 2010I don't understand this. When you hit the back button after following a link, you go back to the previous page, but not where you left off. The browser seems to just throw you somewhere near the top of the page. Is there a settings fix for this, or is it just how it works?

Oct 1, 2010I am using droidlife's suggestion on how to root droid x 2.2 and when i copy the files to the correct folder and then hit doroot.bat all i get it "searching for device" the drivers are downloaded but when debugging is turned on it wants to download drivers for wb810.

Nov 26, 2010I had the original droid and now a droid X. Normally when charging either of them it takes like 2+ hours to fully charge from a low charge. Tonight I was at a friends house and I took out this new cord I bought at walmart that came with a universal usb car charger. My droid was on 20% and within 20-30 minutes it charged to full! I'm almost positive the computer was charging it via usb 2.0. Now I have usb 2.0 on my home computers but it always takes 2-3 hours to charge. I went home and went from a 70% charge to 100% in minutes via this "new" cord and not using the cord that came with the droid. Is it possible the cord with the droid only will charge at a certain rate and this new cord is charging much much faster or enabling usb 2.0 instead of 1.0 or 1.1? It would be great to not have to charge my droid all night long all the time. Also is there a way to know if your droid is charging via usb 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0 or even usb 3.0? Does this make a difference with charging times?

Feb 4, 2010I've had my Droid for a little over 60 days, and I've recently started seeing what I consider a Major issue. This aside, I Love my Droid, but I've been ready to throw it through a wall lately. It's been restarting at LEAST 10, maybe even up to 20 times a day. I uninstalled every app I had on it to see if maybe it was an app causing the problem. I hadn't downloaded any new ones before I started noticing it, but it was worth exploring.
So far, it hasn't helped at All. It's still randomly restarting all the time. I don't even have to do anything with it. It's restarted 4 times in a row just sitting on my lap while I was driving home. I've heard my "Droid" notification and checked it, seeing that it was preparing the SD card. I've left it sitting and came back to it to find it's not running any of the pages I had up when I last put it down, etc.

Nov 26, 2010My awake time matches the time i rebooted the phone no matter how long it sits in standby with no messages or usage from me. How do i stop this from happening? I have spare parts but I dont know which option to view for awake time because "other usage" with "time since boot" tells me it has only been a few minutes but the phone awake time under settings tells me 25 minutes awake time.
