So my gps location puts me close to 500 miles away from my actual location. Ive pulled battery, turned gps off n on, turned location settings off n on and I still cant get it to locate me correctly....any tips?

I don't understand this. When you hit the back button after following a link, you go back to the previous page, but not where you left off. The browser seems to just throw you somewhere near the top of the page. Is there a settings fix for this, or is it just how it works?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone else have an issue with the camera "store location" not getting the correct GPS (if at all)? I just noticed that I was taking pics and saw that the GPS location was from the last place I had used the GPS some 50 miles away (time stamp too). it wasn't the only one.
just wanting to know if I'm going crazy, I don't see this being on the support forums so I'm also asking there too.
oh, and yes I was out doors, opening up maps will update gps and then camera will be accurate.

Last time I tried it and restarted I got stuck in a bootloop =P. I made a COMPLETE backup so going to give it a try shortly.
As I understand, I download metamorph from the market, move my themes into my sdcard metamorph folder, then basically run metamorph. I think BB.9 has busybox already taken care of.
I don't need to clear/wipe anything or whatnot for this to work correct, right?
I want my DX to automatically correct misspelled words. Like when it sees "teh" I want it to go ahead and change it to "the." Is there a way to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI gave away my GPS device to my wife took her crappy one for my own use it was so bad that I gave the sum b itch away, no wonder she would always get lost with this piece of crap MIO. So now I only have my droid there in lies the problem what is the easiest way to get a house address inputted, the voice input never gets the correct address unless you are doing one liners. If I try to spell it out before I finish it times out, and I can't seem to consistently input it through the search bar on the home screen if I do it will only show a map of the place and does not offer the navigation to the place what am i doing wrong. It was so bad today i pulled out a paper map. Please let me know the exact steps my address today was 3910 Antioch church rd 23150 could not say it could not spell it and could not input it could not get it very frustrating help is needed or I am gonna have to buy another GPS

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a probably silly and stupid question. I did the sbf file to bring my phone back to stock (I have to give my phone to a family member, long story). Anyway, when I did the sbf file it recovered all my apps, and one of them was SetCPU.
SetCPU won't run unless it has root access correct? I mean the fact that it was installed (and then uninstalled) it can't change anything without root access to the device correct?
For some of the albums/songs it says Unknown Artist but when I look at the files they are all in the proper folders with correct names. I added music using DoubleTwist if that helps.

I am using droidlife's suggestion on how to root droid x 2.2 and when i copy the files to the correct folder and then hit doroot.bat all i get it "searching for device" the drivers are downloaded but when debugging is turned on it wants to download drivers for wb810.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my location on my phone keeps moving me to Portland... I'm in AZ. I have it set up to find location with GeoLocation. Not sure what the problem could be as I don't see a WiFi or Cell Antenna from Portland being able to communicate with my phone. This is effecting everything that uses location (Maps, Beautiful Widgets, Juice Defender, etc.).
I am running CM 6 rc1 and the Droid X theme. I just noticed it yesterday and I haven't had the problem before.
I want to use my hero in the states and canada. I am on the telus network up here and I have a simcard in my phone. can i just pop in a sim card from a carrier in the states and use that?

I just got off the phone with a member of the verizon Wireless higher ups, Mr. Avram Polinsky, Executive Relations Coordinator at Verizon Wireless, in regards to an e-mail I sent to CEO Lowell McAdam about the July 16th update. I was told there was no update for the Incredible. The only update was for the Eris. He said there is an update being worked on but he couldn't state when that is going to be released. He said there was no update coming in the immediate future. (Guess that squashes the Froyo Rumors) I talked with him about the signal and call quality issues and he stated that HTC and Google were working on the issue. He also stated he was on the various blogs and is aware of the rumors going around. He apologized for the mis-information and stated the persons who gave the bad information about the July 16th update would be dealt with. So to sum it all up, according to Verizon Wireless Executive Relations, there was no July 16th update, it was an Eris update only, and there will be no updates in the immediate future. There is one in the works, however he has no idea when it will be released, and when it does, it will take about a week to reach everyone, so it doesn't overload the system. Just an update for those who care. I think we all knew there was no update released. Its nice to get that confirmed by Verizon Wireless Corporate though.
View 49 Replies View Relatedi've had my phone about 3 weeks now. up until last week, the htc weather widget would update to my current location. when i was home, it would show the town i live in. i also had the google internet option to use my location and this would also work perfectly until last sunday.now, the weather location was stuck on miami no matter where i went (as far north as west palm beach) and the internet shows up 'location unavailable'. i have found out that the gps is picking up where i am in goggle maps but it seems that the cell towers are not as far as weather and internet location are concerned. i have tried all of the obvious settings.i did a factory reset and now my weather says ft lauderdale which is closer to me but still not my town. it does not update (manually either) as i move. the internet location still says location unavailable although for a fleeting minute after the factory reset, it DID locate me....then it was gone so i called verizon, they didn't have a clue. then i took it to the store and it turns out EVERY phone the tech tried in the store had the same problem, including his. he told me it was a google problem and there was nothing he could do about it. i felt if i tried explaining how that would make it a verizon problem as well, it would be a losing battle
