Hey I think this was covered in a Hero forum but there was no good answer. Does anybody know why Handcent decides to not show facebook pictures from time to time?

The time stamp for received messages when using Handcent, is off by 4 hours. I've tried changing the "set time stamp offset" to -4 hours but it did not help.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHope someone can help me out with this one.I can't seem to get Handcent to display contact pictures. it did show the ones with Facebook contacts, but I rebooted my Hero, and selected 'fix uid mismatches' which I read would fix this, and now it doesn't show any pictures.

They won't work in the HTC message app either.But when I first got the phone last Tuesday I received a pic from girlfriend just fine.Not sure what to do here.Anybody have any suggestions? View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried some searching and was unsuccessful, so I apologize if tis has been covered before.I just recently decided to start posting pics I take with my droid onto facebook and am noticing tht I can only figure out how to load one photo at a time and having to repeat entire process for each photo.What I am curious about...is there a way that I am missing since the 2.2 update, or an application I can download to where I can select and upload multiple photos at once without having to repeat process for each picture.Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated.I enjoy all the discussions on here as tey have helped me many times in the past.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep trying to attach pictures using Handcent. Keeps telling me pictures are too large and resizing. Then it always force closes handcent. I increased maximum MMS size to 1M. Never had this problem til after the update. Have done a factory reset. Only thing I have not done is uninstall Handcent and reinstall. Anybody else having his issue?

Anyways. Just got a Moto Droid. Downloaded Handcent SMS. It's great. However the ONE thing I can't figure out, is why do SOME of my contacts have their Facebook pictures, and others don't? I have "synched" with Facebook multiple times. The contacts I have saved have the exact same names as their Facebook profiles, so it should pop up, right?
When i send an email with a pic that i have taken with the phone, the attachment they receive shows up as a gray box. Yall got any ideas on what causing this?

When I click into the event, it says (America/Cancun) which I assume means for some reason its displaying Cancun time zone.

On Saturday, all of a sudden the clock is off by 5 hours but showing the correct location. I restarted my phone and the correct time would show up, but as soon as the phone sleeps and I wake it up, the clock is off by 5 hours again!!! I checked the settings for the clock and it is set to the network time and gps for current location. I had to download a clock widget off the market because I could not figure it out. Anyone?

With the Eris, it is SUPER easy to put someone on hold and then call another person. There is a little phone icon on the bottom right of the dialer, with a plus logo on it. you click that and you can add to your call, which puts one person on hold (it shows you their number on hold) and lets you talk to the other person.
I shouldn't have done it. before *228 it was 5% now it is 100% The settinh/Applications/Dev/Stay awake is unchecked.

Have not had a chance to play with it much at all since work's been so crazy.But I have a couple questions if you all would not mind answering or linking me to answers!What's this "Awake" time I keep hearing about? What's a good percentage? Mine, for the most part seems to be hovering around 23%-28%. I'm not really running any apps (have not set up Facebook yet). Good or bad?
Also, when receiving text messages from other Verizon users they and I keep getting errors saying they can't be over 160 characters? Or that certain media objects weren't included? Quite frustrating!?
I have an Eris. My friend has an Eris. His contacts have automatically d/l the Facebook pics from the corresponding contacts in his phone. Mine have not. I have to do it manually, which is becoming old. I set F/B to do it (I think) when I first got my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy calls to getFromLocationName() always fail the "first" time I start my app. I catch the IOException which has reason:
Unable to parse response from server
Then I make a second call and it succeeds. Once things are "awake" all future calls to getFromLocationName() succeed, it's just that first one, and there is a ton of latency.
I haven't run this on a device yet, just in the emulator. This seems like a network problem, but it is so reproducible I'm thinking I'm not initializing something properly. I'm using Android SDK 1.1.
