What the correct wallpaper size for droid,I've seen many sizes so I have no idea

Can someoen clarify for me ha and also when I'm searching for wallpapers do I want pixel resolution or screen size for best look.

I cropped some desktop wallpapers I had so they'd fit the supposed Droid requirements of 960 x 854, but when I select them it makes me cut them down even more with a movable box... is there something I'm missing here or did I do it wrong.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI read that 960x854 should be the right resolution. I did with Gimp an image with that size, copied it to the sd card and set it as wallpaper. What a wonderful surprise when the android tried to crop it. So, I guess, 960x854 is not the right resolution. any insight?

When i set it i get width of 320 and height 570. that looks wrong, it should be 320x480.
i want to place a 300x50 image on the bottom of the screen on any device (actually) so normally i would get the height of the screen and minus the image height so it places it on a view. but since i am getting 570 for some reason, i have to scroll down to see the image. why is it getting the wrong screen size and is there another more accurate way of getting the size. code...
I know what the resolution is for the Droid x which is 480x854..but what is the wallpaper resolution? On the Droid Incredible and I believe even the original Droid the wallpaper size was different than the resolution of the screen.

Edit: i set the image as a background. on my layout i have transparent image views with margins. if i click the image view it do some task. but between these two screens. i can adjust the value for one. in another one the image was strectched slightly. then what can i do? can you understand my problem?

I myself have been waffling: at first I thought "Oh, way too big". Then this picture made me think its not the much larger than similar phones and I was getting it for sure! View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have read around a bit but I am kinda confused between different phones/versions using metamorph.
Last time I tried it and restarted I got stuck in a bootloop =P. I made a COMPLETE backup so going to give it a try shortly.
As I understand, I download metamorph from the market, move my themes into my sdcard metamorph folder, then basically run metamorph. I think BB.9 has busybox already taken care of.
I don't need to clear/wipe anything or whatnot for this to work correct, right?
So my gps location puts me close to 500 miles away from my actual location. Ive pulled battery, turned gps off n on, turned location settings off n on and I still cant get it to locate me correctly....any tips?
