I'm trying to get the little droid icons to take the place of the ugly stock ones. I've figured out how to change all the other icons, but long press does not seem to work on the dock icons? Has 2.2 caused anybody problems with this?

Can someone explain to me in simple terms how to change the icons on my dock? I assume I need to start with launcherpro.I have seen some interesting icons that were all words, but i have no idea how to get them on my phone.
I have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.

I have figured everything out for the most part. but i purchased the launcherpro plus or whatever for my samsung epic and i customized the dock icons. They are really small i don't know why. but is there anyone out there that knows how to make the dock icons bigger?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo i have a rooted droid and I didnt notice that the rom i added included a docking application. so when i got my Droid dock i switched it to use this selection every time for the stock dock application. How do i remove that so i can change it to using the other application (thats on my rom) every time.(if you dont know what i mean its the same idea as using another home it comes up like do you want to use this home or this other home and would you like to use this every time)

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever i try using custom icons for launcher pro plus, they are always extremely small. The Launcher Pro icons are a good size, but whenever i try to use a custom icon they are always half the size of what i want them to be. Anyone else seem to have this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm looking for is a way to do it and have it persist through different ROMS/wipes/etc.I was using Desktop Visualizer but when you make a shortcut with that it's technically a widget which doesn't get saved when you wipe and ROM.Any suggestions? I am rooted so if there's a way to do it that way I'm open to it. Does Bettercut do what I'm looking for?

All the apps that I put into these folders (over time, usually about 2-3 hours) will change from their original icon to the droid icon.So say it's the Angry Birds icon in the folder. After a few hours it will change into the green droid and it says android. Any suggestions on how to correct this and or prevent it from happening furthermore?

3 of 4 dock icons disappear after rebooting the phone. It doesn't happen always, just in approximately 50% cases.
Now, it happened after closing and app and returing to launchscreen, plus one widget was gone too It's becoming really annoying, plus I'm having serious issues with connecting to wifi. I guess I'll just start using again Gingerbread that actually works, instead of this piece of... unfinished, not working ...thing
Has anybody figured out how to change icons? For example, I have a web shortcut on my home screen for Google and the default icon for it is a real eyesore.

Now I want to use the dock again for some nice text icons I found but when I add them to the dock they do nothing when pressed. How do I re-designate the function for these custom icons?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my custom icons on my LauncherPro dock disappearing after my phone goes on standby, or I plug in my phone to my pc, or something like that.The icons switch back from the custom to the standard LauncherPro icons. However, it's not doing it on every icon, the mail and text custom icons stay, but the phone, app drawer, and web icons revert back to stock.

One slight problem though, I'm running Defrost 2.9a with Launcher Pro, and have changed the dock icons to custom ones. However, every so often, two of these custom icons revert back to the original ones for no reason?! Anybody had anything similar. I would definitely pay for the Pro version of this app, if I knew that would fix the issue...

However, I wish to change some of the icons it defaults to when I load them up (particularly the Market icon, which defaults to the Recycle Bin).Is there a way to do this manually? or do I need to download another software from the market? I see some people mentioned "Better Cut" but I'm unsure if that does what I am asking, or if it is just a replacement for Open Home.I'm not too savvy poking around the Android OS at the root.

Currently my icons are changed for text and email, however they do not change with the incoming.
I am using Apex now and I can change the icons in the drawer and homescreen but when i open the Recents menu or actually go into an app, the icons are still stock (or from applied theme).
Is it possible to change the icons system-wide or is there an app that can at least change the icons in the Recents menu?
My device is rooted running 4.1. .
