Can someone explain to me in simple terms how to change the icons on my dock? I assume I need to start with launcherpro.I have seen some interesting icons that were all words, but i have no idea how to get them on my phone.

hey there i am new to this site and new to the android platform. I have figured everything out for the most part. but i purchased the launcherpro plus or whatever for my samsung epic and i customized the dock icons. They are really small i don't know why. but is there anyone out there that knows how to make the dock icons bigger?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI notice that the home screen is customizable but not the four applications on the bottom, the call, email, browser and applications. How would I change those icons with different icons? Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. I do not have wireless and am just a bit paranoid about going over my data limit. I got the phone from work and this is my first smartphone so I am a bit nervous about anything I do on it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Fascinate and LauncherPro (free).I've dropped shortcuts (by long pressing home screen, add shortcut) to my favorite Apps around the home screens.Well, after a reboot the shortcut custom/built-in icons 'disappear.' They become stock android icons.After some troubleshooting, I noticed that if I open up the [place where all the apps are stored] and long press dragged them to the home screen I want, they will retain the proper icon after reboot.

After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .

I use Gmail instead of the Mail app, so I would like to remove the Mail app and put Gmail there instead. i bought two samsung galaxy s and both have their own individual issues mine has the issue of turning off by itself which i found previous post about but the other one which im posting about consistently changes the background back to the default bubble blue live wallpaper, would anyone know if this is a app issue or a hardware issue with the phone becuase i wanna make sure i go back and exchange it, if thats the issue, if its something that can be fixed then please give me the solution because i really dont wanna exchange it and setup the phone all over again for my girlfriend.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Captivate synced to my work and school exchange server for about two months now. This morning, I had to change my work exchange password. However, on my phone....when I into Account Settings>Incoming Settings and try to change the password. I get "Two exchange accounts allowed". It seems it thinks I'm trying to setup a third account rather than change the password to the existing account.
How do I change the password? (I've thought about deleting the account....but my fear is that it will create another instance of calendar and contacts. which happened once before, also annoying...if anyone knows how to get rid of the old duplicated calendars.)
This is my 3rd week with my Captivate and the first week that I'm on call for work. We use a paging system that sends me texts when I get paged.Last nite, unfortunately, as I slept with the phone next to the bed, I kept hearing notification sounds when email came in, and had to check my phone to make sure I wasn't getting paged.Is there anyway to set the notification bar to only notify me when a text comes in? Or is there a way to shut off the sounds for email and other notification messages over nite?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using Launcher pro, and at random times, I go to the home screen to see all the icons missing. The dock's still there, but yeah. Only way to fix this would be to restart Launcher Pro, after which I'll have to wait around 30 seconds to even a minute at time for everything to come back. Is there some fix to this/maybe better alternative for launcher/quicker way to get the icons back...?

Anyhow I was wondering if there was a way to change out the universal 4 homescreen app/buttons. You know the Phone, Email, Browser, Applications buttons? The only thing I really wanted to change is that I would prefer my gmail app there instead of the native email for captivate.

Concurrently, I've noticed a significant drop in battery life. I don't know if the two are related but I do know that those little icons are annoying.
I haven't sprung for a profile app yet, considering Locale and Setting Profiles. Anyone know if there is one available that has a lot of functionality, as well as a dynamic icon that will display what profile is active?

However, it's not doing it on every icon, the mail and text custom icons stay, but the phone, app drawer, and web icons revert back to stock.

So i have a rooted droid and I didnt notice that the rom i added included a docking application. so when i got my Droid dock i switched it to use this selection every time for the stock dock application. How do i remove that so i can change it to using the other application (thats on my rom) every time.(if you dont know what i mean its the same idea as using another home it comes up like do you want to use this home or this other home and would you like to use this every time)
