Just wandering if there is an app available to change the pictures of icons.For example, I would like to change the Handcent SMS icon to the standard messaging icon, and re-label this as messages.

I'm not rooted with anything, however I am running Open Home. I also installed the Windows7 Icon Pack for use. However, I wish to change some of the icons it defaults to when I load them up (particularly the Market icon, which defaults to the Recycle Bin).Is there a way to do this manually? or do I need to download another software from the market? I see some people mentioned "Better Cut" but I'm unsure if that does what I am asking, or if it is just a replacement for Open Home.I'm not too savvy poking around the Android OS at the root.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI liked how on my LG Dare that I could drag icons onto the home screen and place them how I want (not locked to a grid). Not only could I arrange them however I wanted, I could also place as many as I could fit (almost). Is there a widget or app that allows me to place a "box" on the home screen to toss apps into. Right now I've found 'More Icons widget" but that only allows me to place 4 icons into the spot of 1, which makes them very tiny and arranges them in a square. Anything else out there?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm looking for is a way to do it and have it persist through different ROMS/wipes/etc.I was using Desktop Visualizer but when you make a shortcut with that it's technically a widget which doesn't get saved when you wipe and ROM.Any suggestions? I am rooted so if there's a way to do it that way I'm open to it. Does Bettercut do what I'm looking for?

I want to take my activity the entire screen of the device and I could do that by making appropriate changes in the android manifest file (Theme. NoTitleBar .Fullscreen). But, now I just want battery status icon on my screen alongwith other components of my activity. Is that possible?if yes, then how? I tried to use battery manager but, it does not expose such interfaces. I guess its mainly useful for checking and using battery life status and firing intents appropriately. At some point during the applications runtime, the icon will switch to a different one to alert the user that something occurred. I have looked into doing a widget, but that isn't exactly what I want, since I don't want to send a push notification.

I am going to play around with the two free versions of these apps and see if I like them, but unfortunately, BetterCut is an all or nothing app. I just don't want to feel like I wasted any money because the app ended up not doing what I wanted it to do.
I have finally gotten my notif. bar just right. i used the 24k theme and changed the battery icon to green and slowly changes to yellow then red. Like this

80-green
60-yellow
40-yellow
20-red
0-red
charge-red
Then reverse order while charging i manually changed the Hue and Saturation of every icon in gimp and can upload them if anyone would like them.
I liked the battery icon but not the color and i didn't know if anyone out there would like to have them!

They become stock android icons.After some troubleshooting, I noticed that if I open up the [place where all the apps are stored] and long press dragged them to the home screen I want, they will retain the proper icon after reboot.

Someone recommended "BetterCut" which I downloaded...it lets me change the icons for other shortcuts (which is great) but not for folders. Currently my icons are changed for text and email, however they do not change with the incoming.
I am using Apex now and I can change the icons in the drawer and homescreen but when i open the Recents menu or actually go into an app, the icons are still stock (or from applied theme).

I change the launcher icons and they revert back after a day or so for some reason. Its only the phone, text and web launch icons though.

After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .
