hey there i am new to this site and new to the android platform. I have figured everything out for the most part. but i purchased the launcherpro plus or whatever for my samsung epic and i customized the dock icons. They are really small i don't know why. but is there anyone out there that knows how to make the dock icons bigger?

I'm having an issue with my custom icons on my LauncherPro dock disappearing after my phone goes on standby, or I plug in my phone to my pc, or something like that.The icons switch back from the custom to the standard LauncherPro icons. However, it's not doing it on every icon, the mail and text custom icons stay, but the phone, app drawer, and web icons revert back to stock.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.

One slight problem though, I'm running Defrost 2.9a with Launcher Pro, and have changed the dock icons to custom ones. However, every so often, two of these custom icons revert back to the original ones for no reason?! Anybody had anything similar. I would definitely pay for the Pro version of this app, if I knew that would fix the issue...

When trying to reinstate the "contacts" button, I can't find the proper ADW-launcher icon for it. Where are these located, how can I chose them?
Whenever i try using custom icons for launcher pro plus, they are always extremely small. The Launcher Pro icons are a good size, but whenever i try to use a custom icon they are always half the size of what i want them to be. Anyone else seem to have this problem?

3 of 4 dock icons disappear after rebooting the phone. It doesn't happen always, just in approximately 50% cases.
Now, it happened after closing and app and returing to launchscreen, plus one widget was gone too It's becoming really annoying, plus I'm having serious issues with connecting to wifi. I guess I'll just start using again Gingerbread that actually works, instead of this piece of... unfinished, not working ...thing
I'm using the Fascinate and LauncherPro (free).I've dropped shortcuts (by long pressing home screen, add shortcut) to my favorite Apps around the home screens.Well, after a reboot the shortcut custom/built-in icons 'disappear.' They become stock android icons.After some troubleshooting, I noticed that if I open up the [place where all the apps are stored] and long press dragged them to the home screen I want, they will retain the proper icon after reboot.

Sense only gives 3 of which the '+' button is pointless as it is just the same as a long press. Would rather avoid changing altogether to LP if at all possible.

How would I change those icons with different icons? Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought my new Epic, it's my first smartphone, and I am loving it so far. I only have one small complaint. This has happened to me a good couple times now and it's slowly becoming a bit of a nuisance. I set up all my little icon shortcut thingys and all my widgets on all my different screens, getting them just the way I like them. Then if my phone is powered off and then powered back on, they will ALL be gone. The only thing that is still there are the widgets like the clock and calendar. But all my little icons disappear. Is there something I can do to keep this from happening? Is it because of the Advance Task Killer?

The Evo had a Google search icon that was the same square size as other icons. The Epic has the big horizontal one. I would like smaller icon to regain some real estate. Possible?
Also, on my default 5th home screen are icons for Cnn, youtube, and ESPN. I would like icons for my fave websites. Any easy way to do that. I bookmarked them in my browser, but that involves opening browser and clicking bookmarks, etc.
I'm trying to figure out how to change the icons at the bottom of the screen but I'm failing miserably at it...or I'm beginning to think that it's just not possible?
Specifically I'm wanting to change the Messaging icon out to be the one for Handcent (or any other messaging icon other than stock). Yes, I realize I can set it to point to use Handcent by default, but when you initially open it, it doesn't start to use Handcent initially, only once you go into conversations does it start to use the Handcent application.
Is there a way to do this like there is on the other Galaxy devices or is this completely locked down on the Epic and I need to download another UI in order to change this?
i have launcher pro on my evo and when i change my icons to the custom icons i put on the phone after a little bit they all go back to the original grey icons except for my email one. Does anyone know whats going on here? Also i cannot change the way the normal icons look. No matter how long i hold down the icon the only thing that hapens is it gives me the option to put it in the trash can.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know if any of you guys know this, but this was an awesome discovery to me. I found out that you can actually move left and right on the dock to add more icons! There are 2x more sets of 5 that you can add. I found this by accidentally swiping right on the dock when I wanted to change homescreens. I now have to change my homescreens because now I can add 15 of my most used apps on the dock, which will clear up the screen space for more stuff. I'm already having trouble filling up the 7 screens.LauncherPro is AWESOME!Have any kind of "secret" tips with this app?

View 13 Replies View RelatedJust received my Epic via the little Brown truck yesterday, and I'm loving most everything about it so far.One niggle is the gap between the 'top' half of the phone (the sliding part with the screen) and the chrome trim ring is variable.While resting camera down on a table, the gap is consistent all around. but if you were to hold the device by the 'top' part, the gap along the side where the volume buttons are grows to almost the thickness of a quarter ($0.25). It's almost if it's wobbling on the slider mechanism, when the slider is CLOSED (unlike when open, as in other posts).Another niggle is that the button to the left of the HOME button is not equally lit across the image (looks like a page).It's almost as if the image fades from left (bright) to right (dim).Finally, the camera is completely crap. Even in a well lit office environment, the image that is centered and 'focused' before the shutter falls comes out blurred and ugly.Strangely, the background is crystal clear.Flash or not makes no difference.Otherwise, all my pixels are lively, the function keys on the bottom are all equally responsive to the touch I would expect to make them work, and voice quality is great.So is my experience unique, like the device is a lemon, or is it consistent with this gizmo?
