This morning when I checked my phone, it was unable to update or download anything from the marketplace. So all the apps that have automatic uploading are dead. I know since the second 2.2 build my phones been really glitch telling me I am not logged in or can't connect.

I just got my MS for about more than a week now and I am facing a problem with downloading apps through WiFi. It will just get stuck at "Starting download...".
View 5 Replies View RelatedRooted my droid X using the one click method, and since doing that I can't download ANYTHING from the android marketplace. all that happens is that I get the orange triangle icon in the task bar that says "Program A" can't download.
I have 'unrooted' my phone using the same method and nothing seems to help. I also read that there was a link to google talk and that I would need to log into google talk's app and it would be fixed. Well, google talk won't let me log in, says it can't connect.
Note that all other Internet features, and google voice still work great. Any ideas?
Any thought on how the Marketplace handles the information related to the marketplace applications? I wonder if the request is posted to the marketplace every time client is started or if some of the available applications data is stored locally and refreshed by the background service.

I go to the download section and the app says starting downloading and just stays at that. I have canceled and started again but no joy. I can't use a backup utility, because well, if I try to restore anytime recently, the same issue exists. I am completely confused as to what made this happen and how to fix it. I would rather not wipe the phone to factory defaults.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated to 2.2 froyo yesterday and now when I try to download any app it starts and goes straight to saying download unsuccessful! Is this an issue with 2.2? What can I do to resolve this? It sucks a little extra because I just uninstalled my launcherpro plus because it was being glitchy with 2.2 and as I went to reinstall it like the dev told me to I found out I could no longer download apps. I can't even navigate the orginal home screen because of how use to launcherproI was.

The apps get to the stage of "Starting Download" but just wind up hanging there infinitely.
Is it likely that something occurred during or indirectly related to the rooting itself that's caused this problem, or is this just as likely coincidental?
