Are there any emulators on the webs that I could download (other than the paid ones on the marketplace) that work pretty well? I'm all down for paying for apps and stuff to support the devs but it would be cool if there are free ones out there that work just as well. I figured I'd ask here first instead of googling it without knowing what to really look for.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just updated to 2.2 froyo yesterday and now when I try to download any app it starts and goes straight to saying download unsuccessful! Is this an issue with 2.2? What can I do to resolve this? It sucks a little extra because I just uninstalled my launcherpro plus because it was being glitchy with 2.2 and as I went to reinstall it like the dev told me to I found out I could no longer download apps. I can't even navigate the orginal home screen because of how use to launcherproI was.

My questions are what are the best sites to download roms for these emulators and then how do you run them? I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to phones and OS's so any help would be great.
Really the only games im looking for are Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. Mario of course for the SNES/NES. I remember trying to find Mario for the emulator I had on my computer but couldn't find any.
I was reading about them and it said aomthing bout roms so im not sure and my phone is not rooted and I don't plan on rooting.

- Without jailbreaking, can you get roms on the iphone for free?
- If so how?
- How well does the on screen controller work
- Is the small screen you have to use on the iphone emu an issue?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to download mp3 files from my file server onto my Droid. Everytime I try to download a song I get the error message Download Unsuccessful. I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?

I have rebooted the phone several times. I updated the profile and PRL. I have turned on the wi-fi and turned off the wi-fi. I downloaded the HTC sync to my laptop and tried connectig through there (really just reaching for straws at this point).
I even found this procedure and did this as well "1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button. 2. I wanted to know if it is possible the communication between two Android Emulators started on two different machines networked.
For example
- Emulator A run on machine M1
- Emulator B run on machine M2
Can A and B exchange messages?
If yes, what ip address do I use?
Is there a way to interconnect 2 emulator instances running on different machines? One of them is acting as a client and other as a server, hence 2-way interaction is required.

I have a few questions about this phone, or more to the point, the android OS running it. I see that it only has android 1.5 on it at the moment, and there are no newer upgrades available yet. That said, I've read in numerous places on the net that android 2.1 is coming to the HTC hero at the end of this week or start of next week depending on your network, is this true? What would this upgrade actually improve? My new phone seems pretty stable and usable as it is already, wasn't voted best phone of 2009 for nothing I guess. My second query is about the apps from the android market. When this 2.1 upgrade comes, I expect it'll wipe the phone clean and reinstall with the newer OS. If any apps are already paid for, will I have to pay again to download them a second time? Or is there any way of me backing them up first?

It appears that it only wants to download some applications with most kicking back a "Download Unsuccessful" including some that I have purchased before.
I am running 2.1 -update 1 right out of the box software number 1.19.161.5
I've tried a factory reset with still no avail.
I'm trying to download it using my wireless router which I'm sitting right beside so signal is no problem.
Since the Droid Eris lacks the physical keyboard, I'm wondering if Snesoid, Nesoid or Gensod work at all on the Eris? Anyone give them a try?
