Haven't done the update yet. I'm not just talking about text sigs, but .jpg also. This has always been an irritation that I counldn't have my .jpg sig when sending from my phone.

Just got sent a new droid 2 replacement for my droid 1 because the screen died. After setting all up I went to do my signatures for my work exchange account and a regular yahoo account but it make you use the same signature for both accounts (when doing signature box it states it will apply to all email accounts). I need a specific signature for work and just a simple for yahoo. Is there a way to have different signatures for email addresses? I had separate signatures on my droid 1.

View 36 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy Nexus with Stock 4.0.4 ROM and a Transformer Prime also with the stock ASUS firmware (4.0.3), The company where I work has a mail server that supports exchange (Kerio Connect) At that server I have (because I need it that way) 2 different accounts, I need one of those accounts to synchronize everything; contacts, mail, calendar, and the other one to synchronize only calendar appointments.
If I configure the first account everything works just fine. But, when I configure the second account, I start receiving login errors for both accounts every certain time, the apps shows me the option to update my account credentials and when I do it works for the moment but after a while it fails again. If I delete whichever of the two accounts the other works fine.
I have not tested this scenario against other email servers, so I'm not sure if this a problem with my server or if this is an Android problem.
Both accounts are configured as Exchange accounts from Settings menu.
For those that have Froyo on their Droid, I was wondering about the changes/updates to exchange accounts. Does Froyo do a better job at handling corporate exchange accounts?
I've been testing Touchdown for the past few weeks and like it but before I pay for it, I was wondering if Froyo might fix the following:
ability to accept meeting invites
properly render html e-mail
properly sync Outlook tasks
better handling of corporate folders
I have two e-mail accounts, 1 SBC and one an Exchange Server. When I set up my signature (for work), it seems to put that signature for both accounts. Is there a way to seperate the signature lines for each email account? I tried deleting it from my home account and it will delete it from both. there seems to be no separation.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife just got the Droid Inc, which was my first experience with the android os and I have to say, wow! I love it! My only issue is the Droid Inc doesn't support more than one exchange accounts and I have 6. I have read that the original Droid did support multiple exchange accounts, but haven't seen if the droid x does or not. Before I go through the trouble of ordering one and waiting on it to come in, can anybody confirm or deny if the droid x does support multiple exchange account and if so, is there a limit to that number.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm a new Android user and I'm sure this will seem like a silly question, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. I have two non-Gmail accounts set up using the stock email program: one Yahoo Mail and the other for my domain. The email account for my domain is set up as the default, so when I start a new email, it comes from that account. However, I can not figure out how to switch to the Yahoo Mail account to compose and send email without making the Yahoo Mail account the default account. There has to be some way to open your inbox or send a new message without switching which account is the default everytime, or at least I would think so.

The first time was a few weeks ago after having the same accounts for months. The next time was a couple of weeks ago and then it happened again today. I checked my emails when I got to work, and then while I was sitting in a meeting, I picked up my phone to peek at emails and all 3 accounts were gone along with my corporate calendar account. I re-entered the accounts and it loads everything, but this is kind of annoying.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had an issue with the Droid completely eliminating email accounts? This has happened to me twice now and it's such a pain in the butt. I have one Exchange account for work and one Pop account (yahoo). Both times I've gone to access my email and the accounts were just gone (my gmail account however remained in tact). I have to go and add them in again and adding Yahoo as a Pop account is no picnic. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or if that's even possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Droid X for a week now. I'm coming from the Incredible. Both are great phones but I prefer the X. I have 3 email accounts setup on this phone. My corp account using the Corporate Sync and 2 personal accounts using IMAP. The Corporate Sync works fine but the IMAP accounts will only download email every few hours instead of every 15 minutes. If I reboot the phone, it will download new emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of our Droid's have lost the mail accounts at least once (when you go to email it shows the "new account wizard" - however, the old accounts still show in the "Sync" area. One of the devices seems to be doing it regularly. Wanted to see if anyone had advice with this issue, as I have heard other discussing the issue, but never seen resolution. Specific to the unit that has lost it several times. I factory reset the device last time to see if that would resolve it. It dropped it again not a week later. This unit is not rooted, and is at 2.0.1. The only other assumption I can make is possible problems with an APP?

I don't know for the life of me how to see all my accounts I have with the stock email app. I have two AOL accounts, but every time I open the app, only one account shows up. I try pressing "back" and it exits the program. I also tried seeing what I can do when I press the settings button (first left button).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am considering getting a Android based phone, something like a My Touch from TMO or the Nexus One Google phone, however, I have a question about how email works on the Android OS. First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.

I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

Everything is cool, except my work email which is an exchange account wants to give my email server a bunch of security permissions I am not comfortable with. I could not get Touchdown to work either until I discovered my Microsoft ISA server, in front of my Exchange 2003 server, was not setup right. Once I got that setup ISA Server 2004: Supporting Both Basic and Forms-based Authentication with a Single External IP Address and Web Listener (v1.1) the sync started working greatThe benefits of Touchdown are immense and I am no longer interested in Froyo handling of Exchange email. I am an IT guy and will recommend this program to all my android folks.

That doesn't make any sense to me and defeats the purpose of having corporate contacts. How do I make sure my exchange email account shows up as one of the options?

I do not see a way to sort my inbox by "From" to group those emails together. I got spoiled on my BB Storm being able to touch and hold the sender and it would sort all emails. Is there a way to do this on the Droid?
Also, when I go into my "Sent" folder, all emails are shown by the person that the emails are from, which is ME, impossible to see who I sent the email to and have to look at the subject and open the email to have any idea about the content. There's got to be a way to change this to view by who the email was sent to, which is usually what you're looking for anyway.
When i setup my email signature the address ends up being sent in the email as a hyperlink.But if the recipient clicks it it is an invalid link.Im on exchange 2007.Anyone else have this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X that is upgraded to 2.2 but I noticed this weekend that I didn't receive emails on Saturday until I pinged the server on Sunday night. When I was on 2.1 this wasn't an issue and I'm noticing now it is.
Settings right now are:
Data Delivery:
1. Background data is OFF
2. Email and Corp Sync: Data Push
Battery Manager:
1. Now in Performance mode, I turned off Custom this morning.
I might have solved my own problem by changing to "Performance Mode".
On my Motorola q emails just came n automatically. On the Droid I have to go to my email and hit refresh for them to come in. Same thing on my pop account. I do have notifications on and automatic push.

My company requires PIN locking and remote wipe in order to sync, but it seems nearly impossible to find out of this is a supported feature within 2.0. Has anyone tried this with a similar set of Exchange policies that may have tested 2.0 or the Droid itself?

I can't turn this off and following the notification does nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my first Android phone, a Droid 2.I previously had the original BlackBerry Storm which when I first got it I loved but after a very short time I came to hate for it's crappy interfaces terrible performance and so on. But one thing that it did very well was work with my corporate exchange email.I use rules to move new email from the inbox to folders that really help me to keep my email organized, which is very important since I get 200-300 emails on a normal day and many more when there are emergencies at work. As each was moved to the appropriate folder I would get my notification on my BB and could go read the mail. However now that I am using Froyo, I find that it can see all of my emails and shows the correct folders and so forth but I only get notifications for email that is in the inbox. This does not work well especially when I have a customer emailing me with an emergency.
Is there a way to setup my rules so that they wait for 6 hours (or whatever time I select) before they are moved to one of the other folders so that I can still get my notifications on my Droid 2 but still keep the mailbox relatively organized?I hate the idea of running the rule manually because Outlook requires you to select each one individually and since I have about 50 rules this is a hassle, another option would be to make the rules Client Side only but I cannot seem to find a way to do this either so if anybody can give me instructions on this that would be great.Of course if you have a way that you use for this that works better please let me know as I am open to suggestions, these are just the options that I have come up on my own.
