I use Gmail for my email, but I find the Email app is easier to use. There is also a Messaging app, but that incorporates texting, etc. I don't want that. I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

I try pressing "back" and it exits the program. I also tried seeing what I can do when I press the settings button (first left button).

I know that you can access multiple G Mail accounts through the phone but does anyone know if you can have a G Mail and another account. I am a medical student and get important minute-to-minute emails about things for the hospital. The account I have through the school uses OWA and the school has dropped its ability to automatically forward emails to other accounts. Also, as much as I have tried, I can not get my GM ail account to import/retrieve emails from the OWA account. So I am hoping to have the .edu account and the G Mail account simultaneously. Any help would be provided from anyone currently using N1 on TMo. Even if you could test it by trying to set up another email with another POP 3 email server.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
I have multiple email accounts & would love to find an app that will act like Thunderbird. I want to check all the accounts and look at one Inbox and see all the mail that has come in with different labels. Is there an app that will do this out there?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 2 Exchange accounts and I have been able to configure both of them for Push notification to my Droid 2, I was wondering does anybody know how I can just open the second account in case I wanted to read an email that came in earlier that I have already looked at and therefore does not show up in my notifications any longer? When I open the Email application it only shows my Default account and it does not appear to give me any options to open and look at my second account.

My only issue is the Droid Inc doesn't support more than one exchange accounts and I have 6. I have read that the original Droid did support multiple exchange accounts, but haven't seen if the droid x does or not. Before I go through the trouble of ordering one and waiting on it to come in, can anybody confirm or deny if the droid x does support multiple exchange account and if so, is there a limit to that number.

I have two non-Gmail accounts set up using the stock email program: one Yahoo Mail and the other for my domain. The email account for my domain is set up as the default, so when I start a new email, it comes from that account. However, I can not figure out how to switch to the Yahoo Mail account to compose and send email without making the Yahoo Mail account the default account. There has to be some way to open your inbox or send a new message without switching which account is the default everytime, or at least I would think so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had been using IMEasy for its multiple-account capability, I found my phone running warm when multiple accounts were connected though, and the battery drained fast; down to 70% in 3 hours in a poor signal area. I thought it was the poor signal. Installed Trillian yesterday, it's connected to 3 IM accounts and after 5 hours I'm only down to 90%, in the same area. I've been a happy Trillian user on the PC, I already had an Astra account from that so setup was SIMPLE. I HIGHLY suggest this app, though it's still in Beta and it IS missing a couple options I would like they're not critical issues to me, and I'm sure they'll fix them.

I know this sounds like an ad but I'm just a happy customer.
The 2 missing items (maybe one really) are the ability to set the notification tone in the app and the ability to change the notification LED color in the app.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had their email accounts disappear? This has happened 3 times now. The first time was a few weeks ago after having the same accounts for months. The next time was a couple of weeks ago and then it happened again today. I checked my emails when I got to work, and then while I was sitting in a meeting, I picked up my phone to peek at emails and all 3 accounts were gone along with my corporate calendar account. I re-entered the accounts and it loads everything, but this is kind of annoying.

I have one Exchange account for work and one Pop account (yahoo). Both times I've gone to access my email and the accounts were just gone (my gmail account however remained in tact). I have to go and add them in again and adding Yahoo as a Pop account is no picnic. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or if that's even possible?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Droid X for a week now. I'm coming from the Incredible. Both are great phones but I prefer the X. I have 3 email accounts setup on this phone. My corp account using the Corporate Sync and 2 personal accounts using IMAP. The Corporate Sync works fine but the IMAP accounts will only download email every few hours instead of every 15 minutes. If I reboot the phone, it will download new emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of our Droid's have lost the mail accounts at least once (when you go to email it shows the "new account wizard" - however, the old accounts still show in the "Sync" area. One of the devices seems to be doing it regularly. Wanted to see if anyone had advice with this issue, as I have heard other discussing the issue, but never seen resolution. Specific to the unit that has lost it several times. I factory reset the device last time to see if that would resolve it. It dropped it again not a week later. This unit is not rooted, and is at 2.0.1. The only other assumption I can make is possible problems with an APP?

I have no idea what to do here, I can manually sync my accounts but they dont refresh like they are supposed to. I even tried turning push off, battery pull etc NOTHING. I really need my email on me at all times!

We have contracted out an Android app, and our clients are not happy. Can we do what we want? The scenario is an activity that lists data about an event, and a button to compose the email. That works. Except that it always uses the goggle account on the phone. Can email be sent in accounts other than the goggle account outside of the Mail app?

I need this information on 2.1 and 1.5. I see the AccountManager in 2.1 can give me some of the accounts configured, but in the Email app you can also add accounts which don't show up in the AccountManager. How do you get access to the accounts configured in the Email app. I'd like to be able to programmatically deleted emails in the users folders. Are the emails stored in a content Provider? If so whats the URI.

First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.
