Motorola Droid :: Expand Power Buttons Phone Options Possible?

Nov 5, 2010

I wonder if there is a way to expand the power buttons "phone options" with things like 'reboot' for example. Yes, I know some themes have this ability, but I am looking just to expand the power button offerings and wonder if there is a root option or file edit or something can do so. Not interested in installing a theme just for this, they are not my gig, so I will pass on that as an option - so if the answer is no then, no worries.

HTC Incredible :: Buttons Randomly Lighting Up

Jul 29, 2010

I noticed earlier that my Home, Menu, Back, and Search buttons decided to start lighting up randomly. It did this on and off for a few minutes. Anyone else seen this happen to their Incredible? Do you think it's an application? Because there were no actual notifications or alerts at the time. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. . .

Motorola Droid 2 :: Keyboard And Front Button Backlighting Not Lighting Up

Sep 1, 2010

i was messing around with ADW Launcher and when i put my phone down i flipped it over and noticed the phone had froze. Didn't think a whole lot about coming from an Eris it was nothing i wasn't used to.Well when i pulled the battery and went on the market place, i noticed the Keyboard wasn't lighting up.Then i noticed even the front facing buttons were lighting up, now mind you i'm sitting in a rather dark room with my laptop watching a movie so it def should have lit up.I've reset the phone a few times now and still no backlighting and i don't know what settings they are under.

HTC Legend :: Hardware Buttons - Power Button

May 5, 2010

Regarding the hardware buttons on HTC Legend - how are you finding the quality of these to be?

I'm somewhat concerned about my power button especially as I've had the phone for about 2 weeks now and already it's almost pushed down to the level of the phone. Granted that I probably press it no less than 30 times a day to unlock the phone but still...

I also read somewhere that there might be another option to unlock the phone instead of pushing the power button, anyone know what this might be? (If it isn't a myth that is.) Noting the wide range of apps out there, I wonder if it might be possible to change the hardware button for locking, and maybe put it to another button (or to enable some type of rotation between buttons). Any other tips would be great!

My home button too is feeling a bit slack... Can anyone comment on this and how their button feels?

On the bright side, the volume rocker is perfect.

HTC Incredible :: Red Accents For USB - Rocker And Power Buttons?

May 25, 2010

If you'll recall, the power button, volume rocker, micro usb port as well as backplate were all the infamous red color, prior to the Incredible's release. A few of us actually liked the uniqueness of the red backplate and photos of a version of the phone were even leaked, sporting a black backplate & red buttons.

I noticed yesterday that the micro USB port trim (currently black) has a little piece of the plastic chipped away. The interesting thing I noticed is that, below the black, I can see a hint of the red. Personally, I'd prefer red accents for the three areas.

Samsung Fascinate :: Position Of Volume And Power Buttons

Oct 20, 2010

Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that the volume and power buttons are positioned at the same level on opposite sides of the phone? When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. The power button really should have been up top.

HTC Droid Eris :: Phone Not Charging / LED Is Not Lighting Up

Jul 25, 2010

I got home from a trip today, where my phone had been sitting at a low charge for a bit. I managed to get it a high enough charge to hold out, but it died by the time I was in my house and hooked it up to the charged. The Amber LED is not lighting up like it is charging, which has me worried. I have switched between different USB cables, and also from the wall to a USB. Is it normal for the LED to not light up if the battery is absolutely drained? Also, any USB mini cable should work, correct?

Motorola Droid :: Power Off - On / Have To Reclock?

Jul 25, 2010

I am new to this rooting stuff. I am running 2.2, froyo and Launcher Pro. When I power off (don't do often) the phone comes back up really slow. I tried the default Launcher and it does the same thing so I am thinking it probably is not Launcher Pro (although it could be doing something in the background) I noticed that my clock speed, which was set to 900 is down to 250 when the phone boots back up which is probably why it is powering up so slow. Is there anything I can do to have it keep the 900 setting so that it boots back up faster? Is it the clock widget possibly? Be gentle, I am tech challenged.

Motorola Droid :: Do Theme's Use More Power

Sep 13, 2010

I have a Question, I had liquid froyo 1.6 on my phone with one of the available themes, compared to bb0.4 it used a lot more of the battery.Yes I had the same apps on the phone with the same widgets and using the phone in the same areas as I normally do. Also used it less than I have with bb 0.4. I went from 100% down to 90% in about 15 min. just using a IM Program. Do these phones have more drain with a theme installed. I know that blackberry's suffered from this problem.

Motorola Droid :: Unrooting Without Power Button

Oct 3, 2010

Im sending in my droid to verizon since my power button was not working and they sent me a replacement. Before I sent it in I wanted to remove root so I went into rom manager and chose a stock image to flash hoping it would do the job. Unfortunately, after I did it Superuser permission is still there. I would just use RSD Lite but since I cant get my phone to access the boot loader screen I cant get RSD Lite to recognize my phone. I was going to try to flash the older stock image from rom manager thinking maybe that would work but now when I try and flash any rom through rom manager I get this message; "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands". I also read that maybe quick boot would do the trick but it just force closes every time, making me think that maybe the phone isnt rooted but just has superuser permission listed(is that possible)? Is my phone still rooted?
