Anyone else having trouble with AOL Mail. When I get messages and delete them on the phone, the next time a synch is done, they come right back. Also on my storm I had the option to delete the mail only on the handheld or handheld and server. That was great for stuff I needed to address later.

So i was wondering if there is anything out there that would allow you to got through and check the texts you would like to delete instead of deleting them one by one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Gmail. When I receive an e-mail, I get the same e-mail twice one in the HTC mail box and the other in the Google mail box. I have tried to delete the HTC mail but it will not allow me. If I go to manage applications and choose HTC mail, I can choose forced stop which temporarily stops the double e-mail. It will always revert back however to receving e-mails. Is there a way to permanently stop HTC mail or delete it permanently?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I send an e-mail from my Droid using my GMail account with the default GMail app, it sends me a copy of the e-mail. It does not do this with my other e-mail app. This is terribly annoying. I don't want a new e-mail of the e-mail I just sent in my inbox every time I send an e-mail. Is it possible to turn this off? I looked for a "reciept" option in the settings, but found nothing. The other e-mail app does not do this for my non-gmail accounts.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat's your work around for e-mail notifications in the middle of the night. I really don't want to change setting every night just to set them back each morning. (the phone sits in the docking station on the nightstand). I guess I could just silent phone with the volume shortcut on the side of the phone, however if I receive a call or text in the middle of the night 99% of the time it is truly important. As stupid as it is, I have the crank yankers "I got mail" notification for my e-mail accounts for work and home. My wife says that if it goes off one more time in the night (lately about 3-4 times a night, & at all hours) she is going to smash my phone. Half the time it doesn't wake me up, and if it does, I can fall back asleep no problem. But for the sake of keeping wifey happy, I have to come up with a solution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI accidentally deleted an email I wanted, but couldn't figure out how to "undelete" it. I can see if in the Trash folder, but don't see any menu options to move it back to the Inbox.
I was able to open the message and Forward it to myself, but that seemed overly difficult. Is there any easier way to undo the delete?
Does anyone know how to delete mail from the droid without actually removing it from my exchange account? On my old blackberry I could do this and would not actually delete from my inbox but it would delet from my phone. Is this possible? I have poked and prodded everything i can think of but cant see how to do this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding the mail feature of the Droid. I have three accounts setup. One Gmail, one Yahoo and one Hotmail (yep...I like all flavors).
I can send and receive mail without issue but for some reason with the Yahoo and the Hotmail account, the Droid will seem to pull "old" email back onto the device and mark it as new and light up the indicator. This gives then shows that I have new mail but it really isn't new but it is old, previously read email that has been deleted and pulled back onto the device.
I trying to help a friend with her email on her droid she currently has a (smtp) email set up on her phone. The problem is all old emails are continuously coming back to the device! she has deleted them both from the phone also from a regular pc and they come back still....I looked into the app called (k9) however it doesn't look like it supports smtp only Imap and pop3.

What is happening is I keep getting the emails over and over no matter how many times I delete them. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. View 21 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with sync/delete working. I just started using G-Mail. I never needed it before (my home and work e-mail was enough). But now i do (looking for a new job and want the e-mails instantly on my phone). when i delete an e-mail on my phone (G-Mail account) it comes back. I use "windows live" as the client on my desktop. it's like they are separate accounts. If i delete something on the desktop, it's still on my phone. If i delete something on the phone, it's still on the desktop my Exchange e-mail account works perfect (when i delete something in outlook, it's deleted on my phone at the same time).
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
I tried to set up my pop3 e-mail on my phone last night and I keep getting a "username or password is incorrect" error message on my incoming email. I am able to send e-mail from the phone.The funny thing is that if I check my email from my PC and empty any e-mail's that are in my inbox, then try to check for new e-mail's with my DroidX (knowing that there are none) I do not get any errors.The errors only occur when there are e-mails in my inbox.Didn't have any problems with this setup with the incredible.

1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?
Any word on if Google plans to open up the e-mail app that gmail uses for other e-mail accounts (hotmail, yahoo, etc). I don't want to forward my mail to gmail nor do I want to switch everything over. I would just like the functionality of the gmail app that came on the phone for other e-mail accounts as well.Anyone know of any updates coming that might address this?

I am getting notifications from both so I have to read and delete everything twice. I can't Uninstall either of them. Is there a fix for this? She's annoyed that she cannot delete her Verizon e-mails from the server.. She still needs to actually log onto her account at home and delete the e-mails a second time. I've checked her settings, though was unable to locate a "delete from server".
Coming from a blackberry and just switched to the Evo. One of the options available for emails was "Delete on Handheld". This would allow me to remove it from the message list on my handheld, and not on the server (allowing for follow-up later, or typing a quick response and deleting the message, but still having it around for reference if I needed it).
