Lost the ability to make the phone automatically dial my voice mail password. how do i get that back? also, where did the ".com" button go , and the smiley button?

new to Droid here and loving it. Much better then the Eris in my mind. One quick question: when I try to check my voice mail and it ask me to type in password and hit pound button for some reason when I hit dial pad it flashes on and off and doesn't let me keep it on to punch in my password. Any thoughts on how I can fix that. When I notice I have a voice mail I swipe the notification bar and dial voice mail that way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo you decide that you want to add your password to your voice-mail on your eris, this is helpful especially with the proximity sensor, as it appears to disable the screen for a couple of seconds when listening for please enter password.So you input your password for your voice-mail on your phone and now when someone call and leaves a message, it shows on the bottom of the lock screen you have a new message and *86ppXXXX# and your password.Anyone know how to hide the voice-mail password from showing on the lock screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

I used his updater app to GO BACK TO STOCK and I lost my search by voice.
I used Unroot & Back To Stock | Root Your Droid and still have no search by voice.

OK I've been with Sprint for.. well since I first got a cell phone. I got the Moment recently, and have ONE major (for me) issue with it. I loved the feature in Sprint's V-mail, that allowed me to connect directly to another Sprint users V-mail. It was a great time saver, allowed me to just leave the message & get on w/ my day (ok I admit it, it was mainly used to avoid talking to my mother when I knew she was in a bad mood)Since I got the Moment, even when I call my v-mail directly, said option is no longer there. Borrowed my g'friends phone for a minute, and the options is still there for her. I checked Sprint's forums, and couldn't find anything about them changing the v-mail with the Moment.

before , i had v.4.5 and email worked like a champ. Tried to reinstall SG v.5.0.1 few times - no effect.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is just a cell phone thing because my last phone on Sprint did it too. But when I call in to my voice mail and hear the female voice of the menu system, she is very scratchy. It doesn't matter what volume level I am at either, it's almost as if the sound quality of the VM system is just extremely poor.When I use my Droid speaker for other things I don't hear this at all. I watched several movie trailers in high quality on YouTube and turned the volume to max and it was as clear (and loud) as I could ever hope.So has anyone else noticed this?I wonder why this occurs?

BUT, then when I had to call into my VM to listen to some VM (read why elsewhere) I erased many off my VM and guess what... it deleted them off my VVM. I did not expect that. If setting your VVM to save to "internal" would we not just assume it is saving them to the SD card so deleting them off your VZW VM should not alter your VVM as they should be "internal". But that is not how it worked.. so what the heck is the diff between "internal" and "external"?
View 8 Replies View RelatedDon't know much about ROMS, kernels, etc but I managed to root my Droid last week thanks to theoverclockr instructions. I took it from stock 2.1 back to 2.0.1 via RSDlite, to 2.1 rooted, loaded the Android 2.2 and the 1.2 ghz kernal. Works great.
Here's where my questions start:
Everyone talks about Bugless Beast like its the best thing ever so I want to try it. I assume I can install that at my current state and not lose everything plus still be running 2.2 froyo?
I am guessing this is how I do it, please tell me if I am correct or not -
1. Turn my phone on in recovery, select android, then backup.
2. Download Clockwork Mod
3. Chose Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
4. Download BB4 and save it to the root of my SD card
5. Restart phone in recovert, select Wipe data/factory reset
6. Select Wipe cache partition
7. Install zip BB from sd card
8. Reboot
Now, IF that goes right, I am assuming I will still have everything, apps, etc from before just a different Rom? Whats the exact difference anyway between stock 2.2 Froyo and BB4?
If that goes wrong, I assume I restore my backup? I'm guessing you do that through recovery too?
Question #2 - What is the battery widget/app that everyone has on here that still displays your battery in the status bar but has a number % of charge in the battery?
Question #3 - Can anyone give me a simple guide on how to remove Facebook, Twitter and Visual Voice Mail. I see everyone talking about tying in commands, removing this and that but I have no idea what program to use to do this, where to do it, etc.
Question #4 - With SetCPU, it looks like with my 1.2 ghz kernel, I can underclock it back to 600 or whatever I want? I am also assuming that I can have the min and max at 1200000 and have it super fast but a battery hog?
Question #5 - Where do I get this benchmark/quadrant score everyone talks about to see how my phone stacks up to everyone elses?
I have a question regarding the mail feature of the Droid. I have three accounts setup. One Gmail, one Yahoo and one Hotmail (yep...I like all flavors).
I can send and receive mail without issue but for some reason with the Yahoo and the Hotmail account, the Droid will seem to pull "old" email back onto the device and mark it as new and light up the indicator. This gives then shows that I have new mail but it really isn't new but it is old, previously read email that has been deleted and pulled back onto the device.
Anyone else having trouble with AOL Mail. When I get messages and delete them on the phone, the next time a synch is done, they come right back. Also on my storm I had the option to delete the mail only on the handheld or handheld and server. That was great for stuff I needed to address later.

It used to work that when I held down the little magnifying glass in the lower right corner of my screen it would bring up a voice search that let me say pretty much anything... navigate to [here], call [this person]. It's stopped doing that. Now when I hold it down it brings up a little message saying "you haven't enabled quick compose, please enable it from handcent settings"

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo all of the sudden my phone starts messin up on me, i go to my albums and see that i only have 20 pictures out of the 313 i had previously on the phone it would sometimes come up with all the original photos and everything in the album but now it's like just gone. How can i get them back? I put it as a disk drive to try and look for it but when i go into DCIM there's only like 10 files in there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo last night I lost my end/power key function. The phone would not sleep when I hit the key, i would have to wait till it went on standby by itself. I tried some other things and realized that it was a software issue. I can hang up calles and I can bring it out of standby. it would go back into standby by hitting the key as long as I didnt unlock it. So I reinstalled 2.1. Well I got my end/power function back, but now my HTC clock/weather widget just says My Location. when I try to manually enter a city its not found. some major ones are listed but not many are not. GPS is on. Any ideas?
