I HATE the stock messages widget and how it takes up a whole screen. I found this one, messages-widget - Project Hosting on Google Code I really like it and it only takes up half the screen. Looks like it's been around for a while, but less than 500 downloads. What is everyone else using?

I've installed handcent on my HTC Eris and when I get a new message I get a notification from both Handcent and the default app. I only want notifications from handcent. How do I turn off notifications from one and not the other? This happens with my email as well.

View 14 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone else is experiencing a problem with the full screen weather widget where when you scroll to it it says "Loading Data" then goes completely blank and then cant do anything with it. Removing the widget and re-adding makes it work again a reboot also brings it back to life for a couple of seconds but then goes blank. Clicking on the weather picture on the clock still brings up the details weather screen.

I ADORE the stock full screen Photo Widget. Where the photos look like they're overlapping, and you can swipe through them to view the images.
Does anyone know if someone has recreated this style of Gallery Widget for none sense UI?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having trouble with AOL Mail. When I get messages and delete them on the phone, the next time a synch is done, they come right back. Also on my storm I had the option to delete the mail only on the handheld or handheld and server. That was great for stuff I needed to address later.

View 11 Replies View RelatedHere's something I haven't seen addressed before. If I am looking up an address on my phone (2.1 leak v3), there is no way to see the full address. Even in edit mode, I would have to maneuver just to see the whole address.
Am I missing something, or is there some kind of a fix?? I noticed the same issue with 1.5 and hoped that the 2.1 would fix this.
How to either replace the in call screen or put something on top of it....the only solution I have found thus far is to make my own ROM, which doesn't make sense for such a small portion of an OS. however I found these two apps (Full Screen Caller Pictures and Full Screen Caller ID) that are able to put a contact image and button on top of the standard in call screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.

I use DVDFab right now to convert movies to mp4. But right now, when I play an mp4 movie on my DX it's not full screen.
Does anyone have any software suggestions that I can use to convert my DVDs into mp4 formats that will playback using the full screen on the DX?
Recently the screen on my droid 3 completely stopped working, and it looks like I am going to have to send in to get a replacement. That said, I don't want to completely loose all of my data. My question is: I got a screen viewer on my computer to display a live feed from my droid, and I am looking for the easiest way to back up as much data as possible. I don't think I can do a nandroid backup because of the broken screen, but I can definitely root and backup using the feed on my computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedGetting memory low warning on my Eris. Available space on internal storage is only 28MB. Available space on SD card is 7,506 MB out of total space of 7,572 MB. So, I guess the only thing on the SD card is the pics I took.What can I move to the SD card, and how do I go about doing that? I would think just moving all the Market Apps to the SD side would solve my problems. Any help out there?

It doesn't always ring at max volume but maybe 1 out of 3 times. Does anyone else have this problem? I have 2.1 second leak installed.
I reset all my data before installing the leak. Anyway to fix this? Aside from this I have no other problems with 2.1.
It's nice that I can watch flash media players, but is there any way to full screen flash video? The video is a kinda small.

Is there a setting or an app to make incoming Pictures assigned to contacts take up the whole screen (like on the iPhone)? The picture just seems so small to me and i would like it bigger. I searched on the forums and in the Android Market and failed to find anything.Any ideas?
