She's annoyed that she cannot delete her Verizon e-mails from the server.. She still needs to actually log onto her account at home and delete the e-mails a second time. I've checked her settings, though was unable to locate a "delete from server".

I have the free yahoo account setup but sometimes when I delete an email a few minutes later it will appear back as a new email. I delete it again and it does the same thing comes right back.
What do I need to do delete email for good from my phone?
I need to download a root in order to Delete programs I don't use? (such as "City ID" and "Skype" and all the others on my Apps panel I don't use, ever.) Am I correct? Also read on the "Sticky" that task killers actually slow my phone down? I use advanced task killer free and it makes my battery life way longer and gives me the ability to kill stuff I ain't using.
I really like the phone a lot! I use the barcode scanner and the google goggles (which I think needs some more work IMO) and constantly google stupid stuff at work that me and the guys come up with. I really like the phone, but wouldn't mind getting rid of some useless programs I have. (Like on my home PC). Not to forget the Full version of Angry Birds. I'm addicted to that game! Its awesome! (reminds me of the game "Gorilla" that windows NT used to have).
Just wondering if deleting a soundboard will delete the ringtones that I saved from it or if I get to keep them?

This would allow me to remove it from the message list on my handheld, and not on the server (allowing for follow-up later, or typing a quick response and deleting the message, but still having it around for reference if I needed it).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using the stock mail app for my hotmail account. I receive the mail just fine and I can delete the messages from the phone no problem. But if I delete the messages from the phone shouldn't they be deleting from the server as well? I would like to see them gone the next time I actually sign into my hotmail account from my laptop but they aren't. I have to physically delete them again from my laptop for them to actually be gone. Can anyone shed some light?

But I hate the gmail app on the wildfire running android, and really like the mail app.
Problem is, Gmail is currently syncd to both and so if Im not at the phone when I recieve a message notification I will recieve two notifications for the same message (one from gmail, one from mail), and then can view it in both apps. in a nutshell, I want to be synced to gmail, using the mail app, and I need to know how to turn off the gmail app, without losing any syncing etc.
I have managed to set up my HTC Desire with my POP Yahoo account with no problems but when I delete a mail from either Yahoo or HTC the action is not replicated on the other.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using Gmail. When I receive an e-mail, I get the same e-mail twice one in the HTC mail box and the other in the Google mail box. I have tried to delete the HTC mail but it will not allow me. If I go to manage applications and choose HTC mail, I can choose forced stop which temporarily stops the double e-mail. It will always revert back however to receving e-mails. Is there a way to permanently stop HTC mail or delete it permanently?

I was able to open the message and Forward it to myself, but that seemed overly difficult. Is there any easier way to undo the delete?

Although the mail disappears from the list while I'm using the Android browser, when I connect to Gmail on my computer all the mail I thought I had deleted is still there. Is there a way to edit/delete the original if an e-mail that I am replying to or forwarding? WM could do it out of the box and the BB could with*forward, reply, edit" app. I find this quite useful.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a five year old phone, so apologies in advance. The geeks at Best Buy set up my email for me which works fine (after multiple trips back to the store). Except that I can't figure out how to do a couple of things. 1. Is there a way to select and delete multiple emails on the phone and 2. How do I get rid of all my spam mail that comes in on the laptop (and gets filtered out there). Do I have to set up some kind of email push program so that the email comes in from my computer (already filtered) instead of from the server? You can see my learning curve is steep.........

On my old droid eris there was an option to "delete mail on server" in my email settings. the inc doesn't have this option.. it is quite annoying that every time i get on my actual computer i have to then go in to my email and delete those emails that i have already deleted on my phone. anyone else hate this problem?

My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).
