I was wondering if i purchase a app from the market and if i like delete it accidentally or lose the app, if i have to repay to get it back? or i can just re download it again.

Also on my storm I had the option to delete the mail only on the handheld or handheld and server. That was great for stuff I needed to address later.

Got my Eris back in May...love it so far. Rooted w/ 2.2, launcherpro, and running smooth at 768mhz. I've been trying to tweak it to run as quick as possible, and, this morning, deleted my SMS texts to improve performace in Handcent. Worked well, even if I had to clear out all my old texts. No big loss. My question is: since my SMS texts were stored on my phone, does Gmail store all its emails on my phone, as well? I have a few thousand e-mails in gmail (2626 to be precise) and hope not! I wasn't sure how my phone accessed gmail, where it stored data, etc.

I have root access thanks to Universal 1 Click, but I don't see a way to remove this application. It keeps starting itself and I don't ever use it. While I do use apps on my phone I don't even play music on it.
Using AndExplorer I can navigate to my App folder and see that I can reinstall by clicking on the Amazommp3.apk file, but it won't let me delete that file and there is no uninstall option.
So about a week ago I randomly can no longer download anything from the ap store, even updates. I just get the notification, "Download unsuccessful". this is been a week now; and I've turned phone on/off...I use LauncherPro as my launcher if that even matters...but haven't really messed with any settings anywhere...I'm on a 3G good network, and hadn't had any problems downloading or updating aps in the past...any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes my dad grounds me from using some of my chat apps that i use to talk to all of my friends. He always checks the Google Play Store on my phone and looks under My Apps and then All so he can see if i've downloaded one of them. If i download it from the play store it will show up here, even if i've already deleted it. I used to be able to get around this by downloading the .apk file for the app from another website, and not from the play store. That way it wouldn't show up in the My Apps section. But the other day i did this and the app still showed up in the My Apps part of the play store, even though i didn't download it from there.
Is another way to download an app so it doesn't show up after i delete it?
why you can't download the Youtube app from the play store once you flash an aosp rom? All other google apps can be downloaded just not Youtube?

Also, when it tries to delete the temporary file, there is an error because I don't have permission. This smells like I'm just missing something important. Is there any other way to get an icon of the image?
Having owned 11 different Android phones/tablets since 2010, I have a gazillion apps listed in my Google Play Store account. I know it is possible to individually delete apps from my phone/tablet, but for the love of all things telephony, once you delete an app it takes you back to the frickin' top of the list. I thought there would be a simple way to do this by going to the Play Store on my laptop, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I realize it is not a big deal, but being the obsessive person that I am, once I try to do something.
When I log into my Google Play Store account on my laptop and go to "My Apps", it lists all the apps that I have ever downloaded, but there doesn't appear to be a way to delete them like there is on a device!
I am working on an app that connects to a media providing site and downloads mp3 files to the user phone. I would like for the user to be unable to copy these files off the phone but only listen to them through my app. I am currently trying to encrypt the files using DES and encryption and decrypt and play the file in bits in the app. This is however not working. Is there a better way of achieving my end goal or has anyone else implemented a similar solution?
