I'm using Micromax Canvas fun a 74 android phone with jellybean.Last Day i updated my apps using Mobogenie PC Client and I got a new problem.Some of my apps started to misbehave after this Update. Like,If i try to open MX player,It says "Unfortunately MX Player has stopped".I tried uninstalling it and installed it again.No use.Still it shows the same problem.

I have a Nexus 5. If I choose a custom notification sound in hangouts, for example, that is an .mp3 file, I would get the word "Silent" underneath the sound setting. The same goes for ringtones, but the word that shows underneath Phone ringtone in settings would be "None". I've tried putting the file under the Ringtone folder and it still wouldn't work. How do I get custom sounds to work on KitKat/Nexus 5? It can be set all the way up and nothing would happen.

I would like to know how can I arrange my apps in custom order in the app drawer, just so the more frequently used apps are on the first page. Also, is there any way to create folders in the app drawer? I really like the look of the kitkat launcher, so I am not sure if I want to go with a different launcher at this point. I tried googling before posting here, but couldn't find any solution specific for kitkat.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to install Cyanogenmod and root my Nexus 7 2013, but I don't know what I should do to backup.
I previously tried to root and install CM on my Motorola Atrix HD on AT&T and successfully rooted it, unlocked the bootloader, and installed Clockwork Mod. I made sure to click backup and proceeded to delete the version of Android on the device and install Cyanogenmod. Cyanogenmod did not successfully install and I wanted to restore my device back to it the backup I made. It said that it did it successfully, but the device gets stuck on the AT&T logo when booting up and doesn't go past that.
I don't want to have to go through the same trouble with my Nexus 7 not being able to restore back to a backup in case something goes wrong. I'm using the Nexus Root Toolkit on my PC and will probably use the Cyanogenmod installer for installing CM11 (if there are any drawbacks to using the installer). What should I use to backup my device and how would I restore it back to stock if something goes wrong? And if I have a bricked device, how can I flash it back to stock?
When will hangouts be updated on Android to make calls for free. It seems very uncool that it came to iOS first. I know this has probably been posted here before about the subject.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samba server at home, running from my router's USB port. I access files on this drive from my Nexus 4, my Nexus 10, my Windows computer and my iPad. Up until very recently, this was all working swimmingly, with no problems.
However, since the most recent Android update, i have been unable to access the Samba server from either of my two Android devices. The Android devices can see other devices on the network (via ES File Explorer), but no longer the USB device attached to the router, via the Samba server.
This isn't a problem with ES File Explorer as the exact same issue is found when using other remote file viewers. And this isn't a problem with the router, as I called the manufacturer, who also acts as my ISP, to check the settings remotely, and they said that they're optimised (as you would expect, as the other devices are still working fine).
I tried to access the server using AndSMB, failing again, but getting this error message:

a friend of mine has updated his Phone and now his Whatsapp does'nt work, he uninstalled Whatsapp and did a battery pull on the Phone, and then he installed it back on the Phone and it is still not working, i remembber he has the latest software of Whatsapp

View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated this morning, my google account I had linked to my S4 has been removed. I have tried syncing the account with the phone again, but when I do this I keep getting an error message saying "there was a problem connecting to google servers, please try again later".
I've already read that it could be a problem with 2-step verification/authorisation so logged into my account on a laptop to disable this, but it is already disabled.
Since I got Kitkat on my S4, UK, on Orange/EE, the weather widget has been behaving strangely. It's set to my location correctly but every so often when I turn on the phone, or just unlock it, the temperature has shot up to 35 to 50 degrees Celsius. The real temperatures the last few days have been between 0 and 8 Celsius. It might randomly be displaying Fahrenheit I suppose, but the settings are set to Celsius, and refreshing the widget puts it back to the right temperature, in C. It's not every time but it is regular.

I unrooted it using SuperSU but when I went to install the latest KitKat update (4.4.2) it flashed the yellow triangle and said I had unauthorized software and I needed to contact the Verizon store. I did the down volume-home-power thing and took care of that but it is clear to me that even though SuperSU says my phone is unrooted it isn't. How do I really unroot my phone?

All seemed okay so let it get on with it.But when I thought it was ready I cannot get further than the four moving coloured circles. I have tried to factory reset and delete cache but has made no changes. I have been in contact with google play who now say there is no more actions that can be done so will need replacement.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3 that just got the 4.4 update this morning. Afterwards it had to redownload/update nearly every app on the device as well as all my SNES and Playsation ROMs which I though was odd.
Now all the notifications for thos downloads will not go away. I've cleared them all at once, I've cleared them all individually. When I turn the screen off and then turn it back on an dunlock the phone all those notifications are back in the notification bar.
Rooted gs4 i545 Verizon. Update via OTA came across yesterday couldn't install 4.4.2 update. Did a full factory reset to see if it might work...but to no avail. I have kies, mobogenie, (which is where it was rooted from via a one click root) don't mind losing root to go to 4.4.2..

It has only happened since this update and it's getting very irritating having these display permanently and come back seconds after I clear each time.
I got the kit kat software update on my t mobile Note 3 yesterday. now today trying to save to my sd card isnt working. I can still access things on it fine but anything new I try to save gives me an error and some have said not enough space even though I have 30gb free on a 64gb card. SM-N900T

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my GS4 to android 4.4 Kitkat through Samsung Kies. It seemed to be running smoothly initially but soon it began to crash randomly. When I tried to turn it on again it would crash again. At this point it was on about 40% charge so I plugged it in and it turned on with no problems. I had no such issues using android 4.3. It now dies at around 40-50% charge and won't turn on every time until I plug it in. It had crossed my mind that it could be an issue with my device battery but seeing as I have never had any battery troubles before the update, I think that the new firmware is likely the cause of my woes.

But now the phone dialpad does not load at all the first time I touch the dialpad icon (it brings up a small white panel layout). Pressing the dialpad again second time loads up the new cool dialpad introduced in 4.4.2 kitkat update.

I can't fix either issue and haven't found an exact issue after several hours of searching on the internet. Not surprisingly, Verizon store dude has never seen the issue and has no clue.
After the upgrade completed the date and time on the phone were February 23rd, 2014 about 3 PM (upgrade finished 5/25 around 9pm) and none of the Google related tasks, apps, functions would work. This includes the search at the top of the home screen, email wouldn't sync, search in Chrome would not work, could not switch over to my 2nd gmail account, Play Store would not work, etc.
Time and date would not update manually nor via the system. I turn off the auto update and enter the time or date manually and it does not update. Current time and date stay. I have rebooted and did a factory reset with no change. When I try to add my existing Google account after the reset, I get an error message stating "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services." I have a data services turned on.
Before I cleared the cache and app data for Chrome, the message I would receive when I tried to do a search or go to any Google.com URL said something about the SSL and couldn't make a connection.
I have recently updated to KitKat 4.4.2. Now my phone isnt able to connect to my mobile data network. Internet access is only possible on WiFi now.

I of course read the woes and pro's of KK 4.2.2 after I did the update!! grin! and do not like the restricted access to my SD card folder creation file transfers etc and want to go back to JB. "A", can I go back with Odin and a stock Bell JB for the note 3, and have it all back like I did before the update...."B" What about my trip counter etc? Will that be effected?
