KitKat 4.4 :: Samsung Galaxy S3 - Download Notifications Won't Go Away After Update

I have a Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3 that just got the 4.4 update this morning. Afterwards it had to redownload/update nearly every app on the device as well as all my SNES and Playsation ROMs which I though was odd.
Now all the notifications for thos downloads will not go away. I've cleared them all at once, I've cleared them all individually. When I turn the screen off and then turn it back on an dunlock the phone all those notifications are back in the notification bar.

A while back I had my brother root my Samsung Galaxy S3 for me. I unrooted it using SuperSU but when I went to install the latest KitKat update (4.4.2) it flashed the yellow triangle and said I had unauthorized software and I needed to contact the Verizon store. I did the down volume-home-power thing and took care of that but it is clear to me that even though SuperSU says my phone is unrooted it isn't. How do I really unroot my phone?

I was prompted to update to Kit Kat on my Samsung Galaxy S3 this morning. The updated downloaded & installed without any issues - but now the same 3 notifications are constantly displayed on my phone. If I clear, they come back. Same for when I re-boot my phone:

It has only happened since this update and it's getting very irritating having these display permanently and come back seconds after I clear each time.

Today I flashed XWJM8 on my Phone and it's all working perfectly, except there are no default sounds for my ringer and notification sound. The ringer is ok since I use one I downloaded anyways, but anyone knows how can I get the notifications sounds back/download them? It's hard to find a decent simple sound on the Internet.

I updated my GS4 to android 4.4 Kitkat through Samsung Kies. It seemed to be running smoothly initially but soon it began to crash randomly. When I tried to turn it on again it would crash again. At this point it was on about 40% charge so I plugged it in and it turned on with no problems. I had no such issues using android 4.3. It now dies at around 40-50% charge and won't turn on every time until I plug it in. It had crossed my mind that it could be an issue with my device battery but seeing as I have never had any battery troubles before the update, I think that the new firmware is likely the cause of my woes.

I am on Three UK, and I manually searched for an update for my Galaxy Note 3 today, while on my wireless network. My phone showed that a KitKat 4.4.2 update was available which was approx. 391 MB in size. Downloaded and installed it.
The install worked fine, but after the install, my phone seems to be draining the battery at 1% every minute. I have turned off GPS, wireless, mobile data etc. but to no avail.I don't even have Skype installed on my phone (as Google asked some users to uninstall Skype)

I upgraded my firmware to 4.4.2 kitkat and now my GS4 seems to run abit sluggish. I get some delay when entering and exiting apps and also some delay when you hold the home button to open the task manager. Also when I type sometimes what I type takes awhile to come up and also takes some time for the phone to react to the buttons I press. Is this an issue with the new update. I have the Rogers version of the Gs4. Also if I have to end up restoring my phone, software because I used Samsung Kies in the past and found that when you restore your apps back to your phone. Samsung Kies does not restore your save data for the apps.

Everytime I try to download an app it goes to download and I see the download bar but upon checking notifications find Download Unsuccessful waiting for me. To top it off my apps have updates avail that will not load either.
I never rooted the phone and had no problems up till now Yes I turned off power and removed the battery to reset..

I recently updated to Android 4.4 and have encountered a problem with setting custom notification sounds.
Every time I want to set a custom notification I get this list of Samsung sounds to choose from, instead of being asked, for instance, where I want to find the sound.
My friend, who has an LG G2 running Android 4.3 gets the following when he clicks on notification sound in Whatsapp:

I then thought to install an app that controls all notification sounds, kind of like Lightflow does notification LEDs. I found MegaSound and tried that. Gave it permission, went in, tried to set a custom notification sound for Whatsapp and was shown the same list to choose from.
Before I updated I was able to choose a wma/mp3 sound from my files on my phone to use.

Rooted gs4 i545 Verizon. Update via OTA came across yesterday couldn't install 4.4.2 update. Did a full factory reset to see if it might work...but to no avail. I have kies, mobogenie, (which is where it was rooted from via a one click root) don't mind losing root to go to 4.4.2..

I am having an issue with Yahoo Mail app on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 running 4.4.
Initially when I was using the Yahoo Mail App on my 12.2 with contacts synced. I was able to successfully use the autofill in the "To" bar. But for some unknown reason autofill no longer works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled YM app a few times and there is no change. I have alse cleared cache on Contacts with no dice either.

Since I updated my phone yesterday...When I go to create a text message and enter the recipient it is not finding anyone. There is a few names/e-mails that pop up but not the ones im looking for. My address book is still the same and it is people I regularly message.

As simple as the title states, I find the low battery notifications annoying and intrusive; I am quite able to tell my battery is low just by looking at the indicator. how does one go about disabling these notifications?

Only had my phone a day or so and am receiving email and whatsapp notifications but nothing for facebook and twitter. Have uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted my phone, ensured that the notifications box is ticked in the application manager and in apps themselves.

Been lurking all over google, and the forums but to no avail. Is there solutions to receiving push notifications for facebook on SGS? I've set my settings to receive notifications, but so far I've set my notifications to come to my email. I've heard from someone that google and facebook are having some sort of differences. Lately I have realized that at home I don't get notifications from most of my apps. I have notifications turned on and I do get them pushed to me when I go to other places with high-speed internet. The internet at home isn't blazing fast but isn't slow at 13 Mbps. I don't get notifications for most games and some other apps, like hangouts, where I could end up missing out on a conversation because I never got the notification. I get notifications about new emails and updates from the Play Store but that's about it. Is there something I can try or do to fix this problem and get my notifications?

I used to get notified whenever I received an MMS with data turned off.I could tell its an MMS but I could not read it.In order to read it I would have to turn on my data and the message would show up( whatever it was picture or group message or a High priority system alert from a server from my office) Now 2 weeks ago I dont know what changed but this stopped happening.
So I turned on my data one day and I started receiving all these MMS messages that were like a week old.(one of them was an alert from my office) which means i was not getting any MMS notifications.and in order to get MMS notifications I would always need to keep my data on.
How do i get my old setup back which I used to get notified whenever I received an MMS with data turned off.and In order to read it I would have to turn on my data and the message would show up.
Im on family mobile FYI. Im using stock Nexus 4 ROM. No Root.Im using GO SMS PRO & switched to CHOMPSMS.
