View 1 RepliesI tried to root my new ZOPO ZP500+ Plus MTK6577 following the instructions from this russian forum: [URL] ..... by using the SP Flash Tool. It was successful, so I got root. But now I have no WLAN and no Bluetooth.
So I downloaded the original Zopo 500+ Firmware from here: [URL] .... and flashed it. Unfortunately the problem hasn't been resolved.
I try my luck at [URL] .... but especially the file for the ZOPO ZP500+ is no longer available.
I found an easy way to transfer app data from one android device to another. Recently switched to galaxy s4 from iPhone 5 and wanted to transfer my app data from my nook tablet that is rooted. I installed es file explorer and helium (carbon) backup on both. Then I backed up the apps i wanted using carbon on my nook. Opened es file explorer and went to carbon folder and selected apps I wanted to transfer, clicked send to and it transfered the files to my s4. Then I put the files into the carbon folder on my s4. Then restored them using carbon. Now I have my Minecraft data on my s4!

I was going through the developer menu on my Nexus Devices (Android 4.4.2) and just noticed a menu called "Process Stats". Is that new or have I missed it up to now? it shows programs that have been using background processes and gives a really good understanding of what's killing the phone, though I can't read it.
View 3 Replies View Relatedis there a fix for the Sluggish / Slow HD Video playback on devices with Kitkat ?
first I though that it was my Gnex since it doesn't have official kitkat support and etc
but then my brothers Nexus5 is experiencing the same problem
playing 1080p videos is slow , sluggish , dropping frames and etc...
already tried different players , MX Player , Dice Player , Bsplayer and etc..
I just heard on a podcast that this was announced last year and I didn't even realize it was supposed to work. I have a Nexus 5 and 7 and the google calendar notifications always need to be dismissed on each device, they never sync the dismissals.
Same google and calendar accounts, using fruux. what gives?
I bought a stereo bluetooth receiver from DealExtreme for $13 so I could use it in my car. It has a built in mic, so if calls come in, I can pick them up, but I drive a convertible, so it's too noisy in the car to use that.
I also have a jawbone bluetooth headset that I use in the car...it works great for phone calls in a noisy enviroment.
I just discovered that if I go to Settings:Wireless Controls:Bluetooth Settings and long press on the BCK-08 (the stereo bluetooth module), I can select options, and uncheck the 'phone audio'.
Now, I can use both at the same time...and the cool thing is that if a call comes in while listening to music, it mutes the music till I hang up, then starts it back up where it left off!
I know there isn't bluetooth API in 1.0 SDK, but I have a doubt. I need to know the visible bluetooth devices. That is, I only need do a scan of the bluetooth devices and save the diferent addresses. I don't need connect to them.
I have read here
http://groups.google.com/group/android-beginners/browse_thread/thread...
that API "only expose functionality to use/control headsets (audio profile)."
And now my question: It is possible do this functionality? Can I find which bluetooth devices are visible?

Got the phone, all bluetooth working just fine. Then my 2010 Jetta won't stay paired. Tried soft rest. Tried taking out battery. looked for updates. the best I get is a 5 sec connection and then disconnects. Now my ear bud wont stay connected ether. Any thoughts?

I tried using my Jambox as a trusted device, and it worked fine.

I enable Bluetooth. The icon goes nice and green. The blue squiggly thing appears in the top bar.
I activate my VisorBlade hands-free device. It beeps and the right lights come on. But no glimmer of recognition from the Galaxy. I go to Settings > Wireless and Network > Bluetooth > Scan Devices. Nothing found.
I switch on my Plantronics Voyager 520 and it beeps and the right lights come on. Phone remains nonchalently aloof. Scan for devices. Nothing doing.
But. My PC finds the phone when I do the Make Device Visible thing.
is there any max limit that we can pair with bluetooth devices? How to check this limit.?
when i tried to pair with more than 15 devices, it becomes slow and later it doesnt pair.
How can I list all connected bluetooth devices on android?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy gf's computer is going south, but all she really does is go online. If I were to find a way to connect her Evo to a monitor (this should be easy with and HDMI cable, right?), a mouse (bluetooth?), and a keyboard (can you do two bluetooth devices at the same time?), she'd be able to essentially have a computer when she docks her phone to all this, right?
But, does Andoid have an app and Evo the capability to bluetooth to a mouse and keyboard and is the HDMI cable the way to go to get the display on a spare monitor, or could I use the USB? Just thinking out loud here. Cell phone processors are fast enough to handle internet browsing and emailing, which is pretty much all she does, and the speed of the connection (we're in a 4G area) would make downloads fast. How could it be done?
I am trying to use Bluetooth SPP to communicate over it. In some Android phones, SPP profile is not activated. I faced the problem in the application that SPP was not activated and so the connection could not be established over bluetooth and when I started another app that is 3g hotspot which I think activates SPP and I was able to connect over bluetooth in my app.
So, how can we actually activate SPP profile of bluetooth in Android devices? And does all the android devices has SPP profile?
I've spent hours trying to figure this one out with no luck. I have an LG Ally and Jabra BT350 earpiece. How do I remove Bluetooth devices from my list? I've tried everything. I can add as many as I want, but I can't figure out how to remove them!!

Auto-switching would be preferable, but a widget that can just bring up all device so I can select which one I'd rather use, would work, too.
I'm writing a small program in which I'm using my phone to detect Bluetooth devices. I'm currently stuck on populating an array list with the names of all the device names that have Bluetooth.
Code:
Set<BluetoothDevice> pairedDevices = mBluetoothAdapter.getBondedDevices();
if (pairedDevices.size() > 0) {
for (BluetoothDevice device : pairedDevices)
mArrayAdapter.add(device.getName());

For some reason, the array list isn't populating. Also, how can I display the array list in a ListView

If you have a Bluetooth device, please reply with it's manufacturer, name, the exact OS you are using, and how well it works. I'll try to keep this post updated.

Bluetooth file transfer works with "paired but not connected" pairs between phones from 3D Gallery on one phone to the SD card on the other phone. But I can't seem to send anything else any other way. Has any Droid Eris owner got any of the bluetooth file manager programs to work between phones? If so please tell me the step by step procedure to effect a successful transfer?

Eventually I'm going to develop a multiplayer Bluetooth Game.Currently I've adapted Android's sample app BluetoothChat to connect my three Nexxus One phones.1 connects to 2 who connects to 3.1 sends its messages successfully to 2. 3 sends its messages successfully to 2 as well. 2 can send its messages successfully to 1 and 3, as it shares a ConnectedThread with both. But I can't figure out.how to handle getting communication from 1 to 3. Does anyone have any examples of communication between multiple devices or has done this themselves?

So for instance when i walk into my house it should automatically scan for another phone in the house running my app, and then say if it is running my app send a message to that phone.
