Mar 7, 2014very annoyed the sounds are wierdly muffled and not working right after the update, particularly the typing click sound i like.

Sep 20, 2010Suddenly the sound doesn't work for my text when I type or swype. I've turned on ALL sounds possible. (It still vibrates.) I can hear all the other sound effects and can hear the typing if I switch to Android Keyboard. But I like Swype!

But now the phone dialpad does not load at all the first time I touch the dialpad icon (it brings up a small white panel layout). Pressing the dialpad again second time loads up the new cool dialpad introduced in 4.4.2 kitkat update.

Jun 25, 2010I have owned my Droid since day 1 and I have been doing Android development, with ADB working, on my Windows 2003 Server laptop all this time. I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Things to note right off the bat: - Motorola Droid 2.1 - Windows Server 2003 laptop - ADB has worked perfectly with this for ~ 8 months My work gave me a HTC Evo to do some development on. I installed the HTC drivers, ADB worked fine, did my development and now I am done with the Evo. The problem is my Droid no longer works with ADB.

Dec 31, 2013I tried switching to ART and, after rebooting, I started testing all my apps to see how well they run. When I got to Whatsapp, I was getting repeated crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I couldn't reinstall. When I looked it up on the internet, I found that the problem was not with the app itself, but with ART in 4.4 and that the issue had been addressed in the 4.4.1 update, which isn't available for the Moto X yet. So, I tried switching back to Dalvik, but now I still can't reinstall Whatsapp even in Dalvik runtime.
I get an error box when I try to install from the Play Store. "Unknown error code during application install: -24". I tried downloading the apk from the Whatsapp website and sideloading it, but my phone won't install that either.

Motorola : Droid X Camera Not Working After Update / No Sound - Picture?
Jul 21, 2010Got the Droid X on 7/15, everything was great, got the system update, now the camera won't work. Black screen only, even though both the Camera and Camcorder apps behave like they're working (with a black screen). Cannot take pictures at all, can take video, although no image is shown and playback of videos is a completely black screen.
I look in the camera and it looks like the shutter is open, although I'm not 100% certain what a closed shutter would look like. I think I can see the lens.
I did a full System Restore, the problem did not go away.
I've tried the camera app from the marketplace, facebook, etc., all treat the camera in the same way: just a black screen.
Trying to take a picture, the focus noise doesn't even sound.
This was working prior to the update, albeit in a leggy manner. Should I return my Droid X, or is there some other software / use fix I have not tried?
KitKat 4.4 :: How To Stop Auto Correct / Spell Check When Typing URL In Hangouts
Jan 19, 2014When using Google Hangouts to text on my Nexus 5, every time I enter a web url the string is spell checked and becomes un-clickable. Example:If I type: "whatismyandrioidversion.com" into a txt/sms chat using hangouts, the string is spell checked and auto corrected to "what is my android version.com".
So, then I have to go through a very annoying process of deleting the spaces between each word and fixing the url before I send the message.
HTC EVO 4G :: Sound Of Typing / Rigid Vibration Respond
Jun 9, 2010When I was typing, there would be rigid vibration respond. However, when I type really fast, there will be another sound other than vibration. It's more like click sound. It's easy to notice since the pitch will be a little higher. just wondering if you guys have same experience? I am somehow concerned about it. It"s a bit Annoying. Also when I try to get the bookmark in the browser, it's kinda laggy.

Mar 19, 2014When I did an update about a year ago I could no longer get mms messages. Then there was an update a few months ago and all of a sudden I was able to receive MMS again. Then I updated again 2 days ago and again, cannot see MMS from certain people.. HTC phones I think. I was on the phone w/ ATT and Samsung yesterday for about 2 hours. I finally did what they said-backup on Kies and factory reset. Not only did the reset not fix the MMS issue, Kies did NOT back up my phone. Just like that, my phone has lost everything. Because of gmail, I got my apps back... but all blank, like I had never used them. Lost my texts, contacts, etc.. and still not receiving MMS.

Nov 23, 2013Trouble is, the update happens whether you want it or not. I can no longer play vids using firefox. FF tell me there is no longer support and don't explain if that means for now or ever. Chrome has the usual flash not compatible bs they always come out with. Dolphin now seems to have joined Chrome. Puffin just shows blank screens. If this isn't temporary then android tablets are merely web browsers.
