Since I updated my phone yesterday...When I go to create a text message and enter the recipient it is not finding anyone. There is a few names/e-mails that pop up but not the ones im looking for. My address book is still the same and it is people I regularly message.

I've recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S4 to android 4.4.2 kitkat. Since then I've been unable to connect to the internet through mobile data. It can be activated/deactivated, but when activated I cannot connect to any websites.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
Following are some of the issues i am facing (till now) after updating my galaxy yesterday to 1.6.3.3
1] Its not allowing me to create new contacts (error-android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly)
2]Its not playing MP4 files for me .
I've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung Fascinate obviously but I'm annoyed with one Android feature. I managed to get only my contacts to sync what I want (not e-mails). However, when I send text messages, the message contacts seems to all the e-mail addresses I've previously sent e-mails to.
Is there any way to get rid of that? And why the heck isn't it the same as my contacts?
I've just discovered my phone goes into multimedia when I reach 160 chars in a message.

This has only started since I upgraded to Kitkat. I've tried googling it and even spent an hour on the phone with O2 but not had any luck. How I can stop it on my Galaxy S4.

Neither phone is able to send or receive text messages. The phones spin for awhile and then finally displays a failure message. I read one suggestion to turn off WiFi but that didn't work. No other problems have been found so far.

My messages show up, but when I swipe them, the lock screen slides over to a second page. I tried playing around with some of the lock screen settings, but couldn't figure anything out. Am I missing something completely obvious, or is this somehow not possible to do?
Brand new S4 received yesterday, stock OTA 4.4.2 pushed by Verizon about 5 minutes after my phone was activated.
After playing a bit more, I found that if I swipe to the second lock screen page, then back, if I tap on the message notification it will open, but tapping before that yields nothing.
when my phone is on vibrate, and i revieve a text, my phone lights up but it dosent vibrate and also, sometimes when i recieve a text it dosent go to the bottom of my text messaging list, it goes in the middle, so when i recieve a message, i have to look through all my messages to see which one i just recieved. i've noticed that the time stamp is incorrect on the messages sometimes, which my be the reason.

When i receive a text message the phone doesnt sound an alert or vibrate, really annoying having to keep checking the phone to see if i have any messages. The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

You see I have to manage about 10 guys and its convenient that they all have cellphones whats NOT convenient is I can't find a way to put them into a group and text them with one group message! I need to make sure these guys show up to where they are needed and texting all 10 of them separately is a pain in the rear end. So far the other threads don't seam of any use.
