I just downloaded the new 4.4.2 software.. If I have a conversation open (in the stock messaging app) my phone won't vibrate if that person texts me. I have to constantly exit every time.

I keep getting the message after every text I send saying SMS received. Tracking has been reset. Not only do I get this message but so do the recipients of my messages. This has only started since I upgraded to Kitkat. I've tried googling it and even spent an hour on the phone with O2 but not had any luck. How I can stop it on my Galaxy S4.

View 24 Replies View RelatedWhen I set my phone to vibrate, it will only vibrate when I get a phone call, not when I get a text or email. I saw some solutions for the Droid, but not the Droid X. I am not sure if the solutions are the same. Also, when it is on ring, it rings and vibrates, not just rings. Any suggestions? My main concern it getting it to vibrate when I get messages, I am not too concerned about the ring/vibrate thing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I put my phone into vibrate mode (either by using the rocker, or going through settings) my phone vibrates when receiving calls, but not when receiving emails or texts, they just stay silent, so I am completely unaware that I have received anything. Is this actually how Motorolla designed it's phone, or am I making a mistake? I receive texts/emails much more than phone calls, but am not always in an environment where I can have my ringer going off. Is there a way to set my text and email alerts (and any other alerts [voicemail, etc.]) to vibrate when in vibrate mode.

I kept getting this pop up screen whenever I received message. The pop up screen is so big that my message will be displayed and anyone can read it. I have searched everywhere on the setting to turn this off, I also called the support and they cannot help me. The pop up screen has the sender phone number, the message, a sunglass and hello message. At the bottom, it has reply, dismiss or replay with a busy message. I am using nexus 1. It is very irritating to just keep getting the poop up without any privacy.

How do i dasable the standard HTC app as i seem to get a notification on both. Also i have moved the handcent app to the home screen but it does not display a numerical display of a received text message (on the app icon) which i liked on the standard app. Is there a way to get it to do this?

I have noticed that once I have sent a text I am not getting any tone to let me know that the text has been delivered which is rather annoying as I have to keep on long pressing the text I have sent to "view report". I am getting the Notification tone Hours later after the text has got to the person I sent it to. On all my other phones (I am on 3 Mobile) the tone is straight away once the text gets to the other person.

I attempted to move them from the phone to PC, but when ever I try playing them or moving them, I receive an error message: error 0x80040000: invalid oleverb structure.
I've tried Googling this, but I can't find anything specific to the Android. I can transfer much smaller files to and from the phone without any issues.
Unfortunately I don't have a home data package to transfer files via wifi...
I run Nova Launcher on my phone and I love it. Buy any time I switch to another launcher, including the stock launcher, my text message icon has a 1 by it. I have checked and I don't have any messages. I don't really want to delete all my messages.
