Following are some of the issues i am facing (till now) after updating my galaxy yesterday to 1.6.3.3
1] Its not allowing me to create new contacts (error-android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly)
2]Its not playing MP4 files for me .

View 8 Replies View Relatedi just successfully installed Galaxo 1.6.3.3 on my Samsung Galaxy i7500 and theres two issues here. First I can't import contacts through signing into my gmail account, it wont even let me get into that window by pressing the button from the menu. So do themes have to be exactly compatible with the version of Galaxo?Also, where is "Market" on Galaxo? was that removed?

I accidentally put my phone in another language, and in the process reset factory settings. Now, my phone wont connect to the internet. WTF?! What did I do!? My SIM card was in when I did this.

It should be possible to create a new contact App by duplicating an existing one, either in GMail Contacts (in a full-fledged browser) or directly in the Contacts app on an Android device. This would allow, for example, adding new members of a family or new employees of a company. Then, just the new name, email or phone number (or whatever) could be entered to replace the duplicated ones and leave the remaining fields all the same. As a former Palm user, I was able to do this on that platform (primitive as it now seems by comparison to Android).

a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
i7500 does 1.6 work on this model if so where can i get?

People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBecause I have to send my Samsung Galaxy I7500 back to Samsung (the audio plug is broken and does not detect disconnecting the headphone) I try to get my contacts back to my Sim-card. This is so I can use my good old Nokia 6200 again. Now since there are no options in the standard software, I downloaded this app. Contacts 2 Sim. It has a function for copying contacts and this SEEMS to work (it gives me a message saying it copied 192 contacts). BUT... When I put my Sim-card over to the other phone nothing has changed. Also when I, switch my Samsung off and on again (after copying to SIM) the contacts are already gone from the Sim again. Is my SIM locked or something? It is a bit annoying so if someone could help me out it would be great.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi think my gt-i7500 is bricked. i downloaded the 1.6 firmware(.tar) along with ODIN.. set up the downloading mode and used ODIN to flash it to 1.6. ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
I know Samsung Galaxy is coming out on monday or tuesday on O2 UK,so now when its so close to uk customers i want all of you help me and us decide which Android phone shoul I or WE go for?im very confused at this moment as for me its still unclear how much RAM Galaxy has and whether or not it would be slower or faster than HTC Hero? other thing is Sense UI that Hero has which looks amazing so question for developers or general programmers will it be possible to port it to Galaxy as i think the only differences are presence of Flash LED on Galaxy camera and D-Pad instead of Track ball on Hero. and one more thing how much future proof will both phones are in your opinion as im going to get 18month contract anyway so i dont want to regret in couple of weeks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought Galaxy i7500 and have problems. in connecting it with my computer for transferring music files and photos and in trying to update it. I downloaded the latest NPS (1.3.0 IJ1) My device hafirmware 1.5 and Baseband version: I7500XXII7
I enabled the usb debug mode and when I connect the phone to the computer, it says new hardware found but then it cannot find the driver. I point it to the Samsung directory but it says "Windows was unable to install your Unknown device"..............
Has anybody found a good case for the Galaxy? The one that comes in the box is pretty hideous, so I would like a nice one, preferably one that can be left on like an iPhone silicon one to protect the device.
