Got my legend today and loving it! the only problem i have at the minute is that the 'people' widget doesn't want to find any of my contacts when I search for them.

I just bought an HTC Legend last week and i'm very happy with it... but one thing really bothers me: For certain people I add in the People app ... as soon as I save them into a category ("Co-worker" for example), they will dissapear from my general list. And if I remove them from that list, I can't find them unless I search for their name?!? Is there like a "hide" thing that I checked by mistake?

View 3 Replies View Relatedall my contacts are google contacts with several linked to Facebook accounts.When I access my contacts through the People widget, all's good, I only see the google contacts (I've deselected Facebookers in the view menu). However when I access the Messages widget all my contacts are doubled up for some reason. I realise this list is also showing facebook contacts as well as google contacts but even the non-facebook contacts are doubled up.

Anyway, I'm a little confused with regards to the People Widget.
I have it configured on one of my home screens and its linked to my Gmail contacts account. I have set my favourites (grouped as 'Starred in Android')
and synched the favourites to go to that group when you first set it up.
Now, the phone also has 3 duplicate contacts in the list - all of the duplicates look like they've come from Facebook, but I can't get rid of them from the list.
At first I thought that the phone was trying to synch my gmail contacts with my facebook contacts, but then it hasn't done all of my Facebook contacts that match the contacts in my Gmail.
I'm a bit confused as to how they've got in there.
I've tried resysnching Gmail and Facebook, removed the People widget and re-added it, I've checked everything in my Gmail contacts but can't see anything un-toward, I've tried having background data sync enabled and disabled whilst trying to remove these to no avail.
I still can't seem to remove these 3 duplicate entries.
I linked my gmail with my phone and ended up with so many contacts from random emails that its rediculous. Old craigslist ads are now in my contact list.I would like to have a contact with their mobile, home, emails, etc as one contact not 3,4 or 5.Also, I selected which ones I wanted before the link and I ended up will all of them.Finally, the people widget would be great if you didnt have to select a default action. I might text the same person alot but how do I call or email them from the widget if they have a default command?

I have 12 contacts and 8 of them are FB pics and 5 of them are showing there heads cutoff lol. Am I the only one experiencing this? Is anybody else friends pictures not centered or cuts them off?
I've contacted HTC and they told me to factory reset my phone
I cannot seem to find the panoramic setting for my legend, i pressed menu while in using the camera and al i can do is adjust brightness saturation etc

View 24 Replies View RelatedMy 'People'/contacts app is linked to my Facebook account but seems to have stopped refreshing/updating when they do things like update their status or profile pictures. I have updated the Facebook app but to no avail; people on the Legend's Facebook page say that it is an error of which HTC are aware and 'working on', but I thought I would check here to see if anyone knew anything else about it. It's not a major problem but it can be rather annoying to see the same status update over and over again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app where I want to list all phone numbers and the associated contact name.I see that there is the Contacts.People table for the purpose of getting all phone numbers and that there is a PERSON_ID to allow me to lookup the contact in Contacts.People.Great.Now I see that all the columns I want are already joined to the Contacts.People.Phones table. But that seems lucky in this case.How could I do the equivalent of the above statement in general if the implementer of the content provider hadn't been so nice as to join for me?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.

View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen I plugged in my HTC Legend as normal into my Macbook Pro, the HTC Legend displays the charge LED, but not the sign in the notification. However, the USB Debugger sign is there. I look on my mac and can not find my HTC Legend anywhere. What's wrong? I've connected it to the same Macbook over 50 times, and it works all fine. I tried plugging back, hoping the USB cable was faulty, and still the same thing!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have people listed in my contacts with ocupations like "Doctor", "Dentist", etc, under "Job Title" and contact listed as working for "State Farm", "Hooters", etc under Organization.
No matter what I do, the phone will not locate these people if I use people search, or just the regular search when using those parameters.
I have a htc Legend with cm7 and the included ADW.Launcher. When I apply a theme, the notification bar doesn't get themed. It wasn't always like this. I'm guessing this is maybe some sort of permissions issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedTried to set an alarm on the default clock app on the Legend. To my surprise, it never went off when it was supposed to. When I tested it I was quite shocked to find that the built-in/default sounds wouldn't play. When it put I enabled the vibrate checkbox, it began to vibrate at the set time but there was no sound. So I downloaded an alarm app from the droid marketplace and it worked fine. Even the default Legend sounds were working in the app. When I went back to the built-in alarm, the sounds started playing normally. Not sure what could've caused this. Could it have something to do with the task-killer?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've only just noticed an issue that after disconnecting from wifi my phone doesn't automatically go back to 3G/2G.
I have to turn the wifi back on and when it can't find one only then does it decide to connect to 3G/2G.
Didn't have this issue before and I'm thinking the latest update (1.31.405.5) has something to do with it.
Anybody else having similar issues?
BTW I'm on the vodafone UK network.
Htc legend doesn't vibrate when i receive sms,even i checked the notification..

But, when I tap "phone" I get all those people PLUS everyone on my dang facebook. I didn't set it up like that so I'm assuming it has to do with either friendstream or facebook syncing. I don't necessarily want ALL those people in my contacts. Is there a way to change that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Virgin Mobile HTC Legend. My Contact list is synced with my Facebook, but for some reason, only 502 out of 506 of my friends show up on my phone. I've tried deleting the Facebook account and then re-logging in. The people show up fine in the Facebook app under friends, but when you view Facebook contact through People, 4 are missing.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy son got an HTC Legend a few months ago & didn't register his Google account. In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, a lot of his contacts are stored on the phone & there's no room on the Sim for them. He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset. Are there any apps or tricks available to move his contacts to the SD card that don't require him deleting them in the first place to do it, or is he going to have to buy a pen & paper?
