Google Chrome doesn't trust my university's website where all of my school documents and resources are, and thus won't let me download any files from the site. It's nothing crazy or illegitimate, it's my school's site... it just makes it difficult when I want to download pdf files or word documents to work on the go. Any remedy at all aside from downloading on my computer and saving to Google drive?

i have a galaxy note 3 since a few days and I have some questions regarding this device or Android in general.
First, I am wondering about how to change the download folder of the chrome browser. I can't find the option to change it.
Second, I'm a bit confused about two sd cards shown in my "es datei explorer". There is a "sd card" and a "extsd card" which I suppose to be the real card. What's the first one?
I recently purchased a Galaxy S3, that was completely factory reset with JB 4.1.2.
I downloaded a couple of .jpg files to use as backgrounds, but then decided not to use them - but left them on the device (not in the original download location however)
A couple days ago I received the 4.3 update from AT&T, which seemed to go off without a hitch. But now, the 3 files I downloaded seem to continue to download. - at least I get a notification that the files are downloaded (3 different notifications).
I deleted the files to see if that would stop it - no luck.
I went to Chrome and closed all the tabs (a couple were still open to the location I downloaded them from) - no luck.
When I get the notifications, if I click on it, it says it can't find the file.If I just clear it off, they come back a few hours later.
This happens in a long email...You cannot scroll to the send buttons.

I have come across a problem that I am unable to solve. It happened several days ago and firstly I didn't paid much attention to it however after another few days it became very frustrating. On my Android 4.3, chrome seems unable to synchronize bookmarks with it's desktop version. I don't remember if it was caused by android update (about a week ago; I think from 4.1.2 to 4.3). I tried to restart the phone, I updated chrome to its last version and as a last resort I deleted my google account from the phone and added it back. However after this procedure I no longer see an option to synchronize chrome in settings (it was there before I deleted/added the account). There are several totally unsusable options but the one that makes any sense is not there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nexus 4 running Jelly Bean 4.3, as many of you know it comes with Chrome as the main browser. I was able to receive website URLs from other NFC capable devices and they would open on Chrome as expected.
I then installed Firefox and now when I receive a URL through NFC they are opening on Firefox and not Chrome. I've looked everywhere to find a way to specify that it should use Chrome and not Firefox but can't find it. As I said, this is just after I installed Firefox, it didn't prompt me to choose which browser to use so it's not that I accidentally say always use Firefox for that action. If I go Settings -> Apps -> Firefox, under 'Launch by Default' there's nothing set.
I just got a new AT&T Radiant (aka ZTE Z740). I had it for a few days while I waited for a SIM card to come in the mail, installed one app, and just got a feel for how it worked on wifi. (I've never had an Android or any smart phone before). Last night after activating the phone and setting up the data connection with Consumer Cellular, I noticed that the Chrome browser icon was missing from the app tray. I don't know exactly when that happened, but it was possibly related to the data setup process.
I've searched Google and the forums here and haven't come up with a solution. I've seen suggestions for unhiding icons, but I don't seem to have the option to hide/unhide icons, or at least I'm not finding it (if I hit the menu button from the app drawer, I just get 'manage apps' and 'system settings').
I also a suggestion to look at the disabled apps list, but the 'manage apps' function doesn't indicate that Chrome is disabled. It is still there - I don't think it can be uninstalled.
I'm not sure what else to do. Is factory reset the next step? Not looking forward to setting up the data connection again (I guess I would need to go through all the settings and write them down, unless there is a way to back them up).
I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?

Then I tried searching the play store and it doesn't seem to be working properly - apps like iPlayer and Evernote are 'not compatible with my device' and when I search for other apps I don't get the proper, basic ones like camera, only independently made ones that are less popular. When I try to download these I get an error message - Error while retrieving information from server (RPC:S-7 EOS:AEC-O). So I tried looking for solutions on the internet - sync it, remove Google account and put it back on, I've even tried setting up an entirely new email, but nothing has worked. I've noticed my device has a permanent sync error but nothing has remedied that. This is all terribly annoying as a device is pretty useless without apps, although I managed to download Facebook right when I got the tablet. The internet works fine, and my Wi-Fi is strong.

I tried to clear cache for the app and still now go....also tried to download using WiFi and 4G still no go
Another Issue I am having is that the Geo-Tag and the camera used to tagged correctly in hebrew and now all of a sudden it tags in arabic.
BBC iPlayer switches my tablet off if I try to resume playing a downloaded programme after I've switched tablet off. I emailed iplayer support who claimed they had not come across this problem. I think it might have been since 4.4.2 was installed.

I choose add input language. It says tap to download (Swedish). The download progress bar appears but never starts to fill. Wait long. Finally it says "download failed".

the problem is that i can't upload/download anything through all the applications that i install (WhatsApp,Facebook,foursquare...). Everytime that i try to upolad or download an item it always fail.
i noticed that the folders by Default created with those applications are not there from the beginning so i tried to create them manually but it didn't work.
i removed the external sd card so that i can install the applications directly in the internal sd card but no thing changed.
Maybe if i root my phone it will work but it doesn't resolve the situation.
one important thing that i notice is that the application installed with the system (not the new ones) like gmail give me the possibility to upload/download without a problem.
i tried to move the new applications to the folder /system/app in order to be executed the same way as the system applications but no change.
is there anyway I can use the songs I download from Play store on power amp?

I know it is on because the light in the upper corner that blinks for notifications works and the soft keys light up when the power/lock button and volume button are pushed. I can not see or save what I have on my phone through Kies because I cannot unlock it. Is there was any other way to unlock a phone like through a website or program without using the touchscreen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've come to the conclusion, after trying several different file managers, music players and playlist organisers, that it simply isn't possible to choose the order in which music will be played. I have two folders of mp3 files, both of which contain track numbers on every file, but, when I try to create a playlist, it just ignores the track numbers and plays the files in alphabetical order. I have read several files explaining how to edit the order of a playlist all of which refer to options which don't exist on my phone.

This seems such a basic requirement for a music player that it seems impossible that it's been overlooked and yet that seems to be the case.
I can't put any music on it. My computer will either stay frozen on copying the first song to copy, or it will tell me that the Nexus disconnected. I'm using the original cable that came with it, and I tried another one already.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently got an optimus G e970. I downloaded CM10.2.zip and gapps.zip for the rom.I used "adb push CM10.2.zip /sdcard/" to move the files files to my sdcard and i sucessfully installed cyanagenmod BUT i can't delete the .zip files left behind.
When i go to recovery mode, i see the files in my sdcard but there are not options to remove it. I connected the phone to my PC and i can't see CM10.2.zip and gapps.zip file in my sdcard. I tried installign root explorer and esfile explorer and enabled hidden files but i can't find this file in my sdcard (internal storage) or sdcard1 (physical sdcard). However, i can still see them in recovery mode, BUT again there is not option to remove the .zip files in recovery mode.!
