Jelly Bean :: Can't Update Or Download And Play Store Doesn't Work
Nov 20, 2013I think downloading is disabled, but can't find it under settings/apps, so I can't find a way to enable it. Play store won't open. My browser does not have the menu button (square with three bars in it). I am using new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3.1.

Dec 20, 2013It will open for less than a second, I once got it to say, "Unfortunately, Google Play has stopped" or something along those lines.
Cleared cache, nothing. Cleared data, it got as far as letting me accept terms and in the notification bar told me I had apps to update, but then shut down again. As far as I can remember Play Store was working before I updated.
I updated on a rooted Galaxy S 3. I was running stock everything, I believe. I had only changed the camera shutter noise.

Aug 25, 2013I have Qmobile Noir A10. It's old version is 4.0 ice cream sandwich. I have update it's software to 4.1.1 jelly bean. But after upgrading it is giving me play store error.
I have used a method which is
Delete the google account
go to the apps
play store
remove cashe
clear data
Restart your mobile
After doing this method it is only work 2 to 3 times. But after sometime it is giving me error again.

Jun 1, 2014I wanted to go to the play store on my tab to update an app I had but I couldn't connect to the store at all. So I went to the my account under the in the settings app and I saw that its been having some sync issues. I kept retrying the sync but it kept failing. So I deleted the account off of my tablet and tryed to log back in. Now it won't even log in and its telling me it can't establish a reliable connection to the server and takes me to the WiFi options in settings.
I dont know whats wrong. My internet works perfectly fine. I can surf the web, watch videos, download and even play apps that require an online connection on my tab but I can't use any Google services for some reason.

Jun 2, 2014I Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and after that I found the Google play Store was missing. I tired various ways to recover it but i'm not able to get it back.Also I tried manual way but i'm getting error 'unfortunately Google play store has stopped'.
I'm even not able to update my device. when updates are downloaded it ask to reboot the device. But after rebooting the failure message appears and it ask to do the update through Computer using Kies. Here also it says you device is not supported.

Feb 11, 2014I got a new Experia Z Tablet this morning and I'm ready to throw it out of the window in a minute. I have been on android for a long time with the same email. Gmail address. I received my new tablet this morning. Turned it on and after setting up logged in with my email that have used for years and am currently using on a HTC one but I'm getting the 403 error whenever try to download an app or even re populate the tablet with the same apps I have on my phone. I've researched lots and tried the deleting cash and stop services etc. Still no joy.
I've factory reset tablet. Kept on wifi and tried again. Still the same. I've made a new Gmail account. Tried again. Still the same. I'm at a loss to what to do. If even after making a new Google log in etc it won't work where do I go now. I don't want multiple accounts I just want to have the same account across my phone and tablet. Oh and it's the lte version by the way. I've tried not entering any mobile network details and using only wifi at first and it doesn't work. Then I tried not using wifi but only using the mobile network and still the same. Also the is no proxy setting in mine to delete. I don't mind factory resetting again as I've got nothing on here anyway as I can't download any apps. With any account. Old or new.

May 16, 2014My Google play store randomly stopped working earlier today. It isn't closing or crashing. It is just endlessly loading. No time out message or error message. Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.

Mar 31, 2014Getting "no connection" when I try to run Play Store app on my LG Optimus L9, rooted phone. I've tried everything I could find on various forums to fix this. Adjusted date/time, switched from manual date/time and back to auto from internet, deleted "hosts" file from the system/etc folder, emptied cache and wiped data from the app using titanium backup, and some other things I can't even remember now. I found a site where I could download a more current version of the Play Store app in an apk file and install it (AndroidPolice site). Is that likely to fix this "no connection" issue? I currently have android 4.1.2, and my Playstore app is 4.0.25. I've also wiped data and cleared cache and restored Google Play services. I haven't tried uninstalling either Play Services or Play Store because I'm afraid to do that. I did use Autorun Manager to make them not load on reboot, but that didn't change anything, so I set them back to automatically load. I also tried freezing them both and separately one at a time.

Nov 25, 2013I use isyncr to sync my iTunes playlists to my Note 3. But whenever I open poweramp the playlists doesn't get updated with the new tracks. I have to delete the existing playlist and scan for tracks/playlists again for it to be added.

Jul 31, 2010Coming from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.

Feb 5, 2013Never happened before but i flashed a new rom and of course the playlists that i had before were still there (no data wipe needed). i added some songs to the end of my gym playlist and alls fine. every day i need to re-add all the songs though. if i check around mid day, then some of the songs are disappearing and by the eve - the play list is back as it was when i flashed the rom. the songs themselves are still on my SD card though

Jan 7, 2014After recently updating to the latest android 4.3 on my Note 2, I suddenly cannot play voicemails through my car bluetooth anymore. I can still make and receive calls through the car and therefore dial into my voicemails, but cannot just play back a specific message directly from my list of voicemails within the voicemail program - its the stock program that came with the phone. I can also play back directly through my bluetooth headset, just not to my car audio anymore. What gives? Obviously something changed with the update that I cant figure out. This is the last time I ever do an update unless its absolutely necessary, it seems like every time something gets jacked up that takes me hours to resolve.

Dec 18, 2013I've been using the Galaxy Note 3 for the last 2 months but I still have my iPhone 5. Something that I've noticed is that a lot of videos that play on ios don't play on android. And if I can play the video on my Android then the video is much more laggy and not as clear than on my iPhone 5. These are regular websites like sports websites (nhl, nba, espn etc) or Team Stream app/website, or random other sites that have videos for mobile devices. Sometimes (with my Android) on sites, the video shows the play button, but the video still doesn't play. I don't understand this because on my iPhone 5 the videos play perfectly, load much quicker, play and look smoother, and just look more clear. Or is this just something that android lacks in its OS?

Apr 13, 2014I got my shiny new Nexus 7 three days ago and connected it to my gmail account. Then I tried searching the play store and it doesn't seem to be working properly - apps like iPlayer and Evernote are 'not compatible with my device' and when I search for other apps I don't get the proper, basic ones like camera, only independently made ones that are less popular. When I try to download these I get an error message - Error while retrieving information from server (RPC:S-7 EOS:AEC-O). So I tried looking for solutions on the internet - sync it, remove Google account and put it back on, I've even tried setting up an entirely new email, but nothing has worked. I've noticed my device has a permanent sync error but nothing has remedied that. This is all terribly annoying as a device is pretty useless without apps, although I managed to download Facebook right when I got the tablet. The internet works fine, and my Wi-Fi is strong.

May 31, 2012Sometimes my dad grounds me from using some of my chat apps that i use to talk to all of my friends. He always checks the Google Play Store on my phone and looks under My Apps and then All so he can see if i've downloaded one of them. If i download it from the play store it will show up here, even if i've already deleted it. I used to be able to get around this by downloading the .apk file for the app from another website, and not from the play store. That way it wouldn't show up in the My Apps section. But the other day i did this and the app still showed up in the My Apps part of the play store, even though i didn't download it from there.
Is another way to download an app so it doesn't show up after i delete it?
