Jelly Bean :: Can't Synchronize Android Chrome Bookmarks
Feb 8, 2014I have come across a problem that I am unable to solve. It happened several days ago and firstly I didn't paid much attention to it however after another few days it became very frustrating. On my Android 4.3, chrome seems unable to synchronize bookmarks with it's desktop version. I don't remember if it was caused by android update (about a week ago; I think from 4.1.2 to 4.3). I tried to restart the phone, I updated chrome to its last version and as a last resort I deleted my google account from the phone and added it back. However after this procedure I no longer see an option to synchronize chrome in settings (it was there before I deleted/added the account). There are several totally unsusable options but the one that makes any sense is not there.

Oct 19, 2013I recently bought a Nexus 4 running Jelly Bean 4.3, as many of you know it comes with Chrome as the main browser. I was able to receive website URLs from other NFC capable devices and they would open on Chrome as expected.
I then installed Firefox and now when I receive a URL through NFC they are opening on Firefox and not Chrome. I've looked everywhere to find a way to specify that it should use Chrome and not Firefox but can't find it. As I said, this is just after I installed Firefox, it didn't prompt me to choose which browser to use so it's not that I accidentally say always use Firefox for that action. If I go Settings -> Apps -> Firefox, under 'Launch by Default' there's nothing set.

Nov 30, 2013Google Chrome doesn't trust my university's website where all of my school documents and resources are, and thus won't let me download any files from the site. It's nothing crazy or illegitimate, it's my school's site... it just makes it difficult when I want to download pdf files or word documents to work on the go. Any remedy at all aside from downloading on my computer and saving to Google drive?

Jun 3, 2014I just got a new AT&T Radiant (aka ZTE Z740). I had it for a few days while I waited for a SIM card to come in the mail, installed one app, and just got a feel for how it worked on wifi. (I've never had an Android or any smart phone before). Last night after activating the phone and setting up the data connection with Consumer Cellular, I noticed that the Chrome browser icon was missing from the app tray. I don't know exactly when that happened, but it was possibly related to the data setup process.
I've searched Google and the forums here and haven't come up with a solution. I've seen suggestions for unhiding icons, but I don't seem to have the option to hide/unhide icons, or at least I'm not finding it (if I hit the menu button from the app drawer, I just get 'manage apps' and 'system settings').
I also a suggestion to look at the disabled apps list, but the 'manage apps' function doesn't indicate that Chrome is disabled. It is still there - I don't think it can be uninstalled.
I'm not sure what else to do. Is factory reset the next step? Not looking forward to setting up the data connection again (I guess I would need to go through all the settings and write them down, unless there is a way to back them up).

First, I am wondering about how to change the download folder of the chrome browser. I can't find the option to change it.
Second, I'm a bit confused about two sd cards shown in my "es datei explorer". There is a "sd card" and a "extsd card" which I suppose to be the real card. What's the first one?
Jelly Bean :: How To Scroll Within Text
Oct 20, 2013First is the video playback. I've went to a few websites like bleacher report and aljazeera news to name a couple (mobile version for both) and most of the videos cannot play. The do have the play button in them and when I press it, nothing happens. I downloaded the team stream app and the videos still don't play. They play fine on my iPhone though which I don't understand.
Also another problem I'm having is when ur on a website and there's text within a box. How to u scroll within that text. When I try, the whole page scrolls. In the iPhone, u use 2 fingers to scroll the text. I tried that but it didn't work.
Jelly Bean :: Chrome Bookmarks Widget Displaying Bookmark Folder Icons?
Jan 9, 2014I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?
I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, Android 4.3, not rooted.

Mar 5, 2014I can't set up my gmail and u can't even use play store without it. Each time I try to to sign in via add account it says "cant establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services" meanwhile I have data service and my network is pretty fast.

Dec 15, 2013I have setup up two Gmail accounts and a couple of other email accounts on my Note 3 (4.3) but only the first Google account shows up in the email app. Both show up in the Gmail app but I prefer to have everything working in email so I can monitor all my email (hotmail, Exchange, yahoo too) in the combined inbox. Do I need to add the email account for the second Google account manually as an email account? That seems stupid and everything else is working for both Google accounts and both have email sync enabled.

When I open the Gmail app to either check my email, or read an email that I received an alert for it takes forever to load the email in the app. It also sometimes takes awhile to load the list, the problems with network connection with it being very fast and loads web pages including Mail.google.com fast.

IE: there is a flikr shortcut there and i don't use Flikr. Cnn, Yahoo, Etc all show up and i dont use them. I've tried GoSMS Pro, Textra, Handcent, Hangouts,... nothing else will send an MMS. It tries, and then just switches over to retrying until I force quite the app, or send another regular, text only message.
I've tried signing in/out, Hard reset, turning it off and on again,...
I'm using stock 4.1.2. on a ZTE Savvy with Straight Talk on Verizon towers.
