Hero :: HTC Sense Stopped Unexpectadly / Get It To Work?

I've recently got rid of ChompSMS and gone for HandcentSMS
On first impressions I was impressped with Handcent and although theres no major differences I prefer it to Chomp.
However, it seems everytime I get a text and the box appears on my homescreen with whos text me and the message, HTC Sense keeps closing and I get the error "Sorry! The Application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again later."
Now, I've only had this problem the last few days since installing Handcent, but a restart seems to fix it for a short while.
Also the whole phone has seemed really really laggy at times, again, turning off and on fixes this for a while, while killing applications with Taskiller makes no effect, but a day or so later it just gets so laggy again and it never used to!?
Anyone else had similar problems? I'm running the latest MoDaCo Rom

Just purchased an unlock code from HTCCode to unlock my Orange UK phone. Didn't work. I am now back on my Orange sim but cannot get my phone to fully boot up. I get the message The Application HTC Sense(process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I've tried several times with the force close button, without success. I cannot get to any screens to do a factory reset.I am running 1.5 on 2.73.61.66

Okay so sometime yesterday my headphone jack just stopped working; the sound would only come out of the phone even with a headphone plugged in. I took the headphones out, turned it off, and turned it back on. Working again, no problem. Now today, I'm listening to music and realize I'm only getting sound out of one earbud. I thought it was weird for a headphone to blow out since I just recently got it in March, but I figured it must've just been that - a blown out earbud. However, my friend tried his headphones in there just to make sure, and the same thing happened. He wasn't getting sound out of his left (or right, not sure) earbud. I've tried turning it off and on with the headphones out, the headphones in, as well as downloading that headphone jack toggler from another thread I found on here. Same problem. :/ Is my headphone jack done for? Am I gonna have to get it replaced? Will the basic warranty even cover something like this? I guarantee I didn't drop it or get it submerged in water or anything...

I've been getting this error near constantly the past day whenever I hit the Home button, and when the ui is working it's extremely slow to switch between screens. I can get the error near 100% of the time by opening an applicatio, then hitting the Home button. Then HTC Sense closes, sits at "loading" for a bit, then the phone is back to normal, albeit slow, till the next time I hit Home.
I had been running a live wallpaper of the Earth rotating in the background, and notice it rotates fine for about 3 seconds, pauses, then starts again, so something is eating up the processor I'd think?
I've uninstalled all recently installed applications. Stopped the live wallpaper. Stopped Locale. Stopped background sync, then turned it back on. Installed a task killer to see if there's a common element (none). Tried leaving the battery out for a minute.

After TWO hard resets I cannot get my Evo to vibrate in any way shape or form. It vibrates upon hitting the power button on initial boot up and that is all. It won't on notifications, haptic feedback, ringing, etc.

Over the past few days I am noticing several of my 3rd party applications such as Shazam will not load and I am getting this error:
The Application Shazam (process com.shazam.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
then there is a force close button below that. Any ideas other then a hard re-boot?

I keep getting an error message that HTC Sense need to shut down....after it does, it does the same thing again and again and again....battery pull does not work, plugging in USB does nothing and restarting does nothing either. Is my Evo just completely broken?

I have been trying out some different ROMs trying to pick out a daily and I have ran into a very annoying problem. When I download a sense ROM I cannot send MMS through Handcent or ChompSMS. However, the stock messaging app works like a charm when sending them. The only problem is that I hate the stock messaging app. I always wipe and don't flash any other zips before I try sending the MMS and it still doesn't work. The weird thing is that I can use Handcent and ChompSMS on the CM6 ROM. I've tried the APN method and factory data resets. Nothing.
Here's the sense ROMs I have tried with no luck:
-Myn's RLS2 and 3
-Nil's business sense
-Virtuous v3.1.0
-SkyRaider 3.3
Today I actually unrooted my phone and got everything stock again, and Handcent and Chomp still didn't work. This is very annoying because I have flashed probably 30 times in the past 3 days trying to find a Sense ROM I can get to work.

I have had the Hero since October 9 and never had a problem syncing my AOL email with my Hero. I have had it set to sync every 15 minutes and all worked well. About a week ago I started noticing issues with not getting my messages consistently and I started seeing a message below the emails saying "Get More Messages ____ messages total on server" (I don't recall seeing this message before). If the number of messages on the server is greater than what I have on my phone, I can manually sync and they will down load. Sometimes my messages will sync, but not consistently. As I type this I see that I was showing 9 messages and the server had 11 so I manually synced and two more messages downloaded to the phone but they were from over an hour ago. I have tried deleting the account and re-setting it up but that doesn't seem to correct the issue.
(BTW, my exchange messages still sync fine).

My HTC Hero just stopped working, it will not turn on or charge or do anything. I was on my computer with it sitting on the desk working fine then when I went to check it, nothing. It has no power to it at all. Does anyone know what this problem is?

I got the htc hero with some kind of custom firmware on it, so i threw on a rooted version of the original firmware to get a feel for it without all the cutsom stuff. Now i went and installed modaco 3.1 and i miss the sense ui. IS there any way to install modaco 3.1 with the sense ui?

Just wondering if running the phone without sense ui will have any negative effects, just would like to use a bare bones system see what its like and see if i really do need all these fancy pants sense ui stuff , is their a way i could just turn it off temporarly to see what happens?

I keep getting the error message "com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly" when I try to access the settings to my apps. I have tried uninstalling app, rebottings and running antivirus, but nothing still.anyone have any tips? I have a HTC Hero.

Was using wireless just fine for the past month up to about an hour ago. My router is still working and my laptop is working just fine through wireless so nor sure what the problem is. I tried turning the wireles@ on phone off and on.. no change. Tried powering off and,on. no change. Any ideas?

Anyone else having this problem? afer a factory reset to try and fix my sms problem my headphones no longer work, ive tried known working headphones and they dont either, the headphones work on other devices. the 3.5mm jack seems to no longer work on my hero gutted.. i use this alot, well, used it alot. anyone else have this problem?

I got my phone yesterday and already the desktop has crashed two times with the following error:
Sorry! The application TouchFLO (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close
If I force close it tries to go back to the desktop but yet again it crashes. If I reboot the phone everything will work yet again. Is there a way to see some log or something to see what's happening?

My htc hero seems to have locked up trying to access the internet the green bar has stopped about a tenth the way across the screen dont know if its the phone or network ican still send texts and make calls I'm with 3 any ideas of a fix/reset or a way to determine if its the phone or network.

My alarm was working fine now the notification is no longer sounding. All other sounds, sms gmail email etc are ok. If you try and change the sound to a stock sound they don't sound either (so I don't think its to do with the SD card). Any ideas?

My 3 month old hero ( 3 UK - 1.6 ) has just stopped detecting ANY wi-fi signals. I haven't rooted. I have removed the battery and removed then reinstalled the we-fi application. I toggle on/ off / on the wi-fi and the phone indicates this as being on. My next idea is to factory reset the phone and if that does not work to send it back to 3.

I've had my Hero (G2 T-Mobile UK) for about ten days and feel I made a great choice. However, I noticed today that the auto rotation functionality has stopped. I've checked it is selected in settings and have callibrated too but it no longer works. Also, from the standard music player I cannot get back to the album cover-flo display, only list views and current track etc. The original view of the installed album art you can flick through has gone - or at least I can't find my way back to it. I updated to latest firmware before using the phone and can only think that one of the apps I've loaded has messed up these features? The apps I got were all recommended ones from another thread somewhere so shouldn't be buggy but I did grab about six, one after the other which maybe the problem? The day after installing them I switched the phone on next day and got some kind of reboot screen?? Maybe the phone needs a soft/hard reset but will this wipe it and how do I do it - or should I delete my apps? Hope someone can help cos I love the phone and don't really want to do without these features.
