Over the past few days I am noticing several of my 3rd party applications such as Shazam will not load and I am getting this error:
The Application Shazam (process com.shazam.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
then there is a force close button below that. Any ideas other then a hard re-boot?

After TWO hard resets I cannot get my Evo to vibrate in any way shape or form. It vibrates upon hitting the power button on initial boot up and that is all. It won't on notifications, haptic feedback, ringing, etc.

On first impressions I was impressped with Handcent and although theres no major differences I prefer it to Chomp.
However, it seems everytime I get a text and the box appears on my homescreen with whos text me and the message, HTC Sense keeps closing and I get the error "Sorry! The Application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again later."
Now, I've only had this problem the last few days since installing Handcent, but a restart seems to fix it for a short while.
Also the whole phone has seemed really really laggy at times, again, turning off and on fixes this for a while, while killing applications with Taskiller makes no effect, but a day or so later it just gets so laggy again and it never used to!?
Anyone else had similar problems? I'm running the latest MoDaCo Rom
Okay so sometime yesterday my headphone jack just stopped working; the sound would only come out of the phone even with a headphone plugged in. I took the headphones out, turned it off, and turned it back on. Working again, no problem. Now today, I'm listening to music and realize I'm only getting sound out of one earbud. I thought it was weird for a headphone to blow out since I just recently got it in March, but I figured it must've just been that - a blown out earbud. However, my friend tried his headphones in there just to make sure, and the same thing happened. He wasn't getting sound out of his left (or right, not sure) earbud. I've tried turning it off and on with the headphones out, the headphones in, as well as downloading that headphone jack toggler from another thread I found on here. Same problem. :/ Is my headphone jack done for? Am I gonna have to get it replaced? Will the basic warranty even cover something like this? I guarantee I didn't drop it or get it submerged in water or anything...
View 3 Replies View RelatedOut of the blue, my Gmail contacts stopped synching to my Incredible. Mail works fine, as does my calendar, but the contacts that were there this morning are still there, but the last sync is about 12 hours old. Tried a manual sync and it doesn't sync...just sits there. Using Google Apps Premier and the Gmail contacts sync fine with my Apple Address book, but just not my phone. I was going to delete the Google account and add it again, but when I try that I get a tutorial that the only way I can do that is to reset the phone to factory defaults. I don't want to reinstall all the apps I have on this phone...surely there is something else going on. Any ideas?

The widget won't update, and when I open the app it fc. I've tried doing a battery pull as well as removing then re-adding Face book (twitter is obviously been removed). Still no success. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what seems to be happening here, but does anyone know how to fix it? The calendar syncs perfectly to my phone when I put new entries in there but not when I enter into my phone. Anyway, I hope someone else has had this problem.

I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

I was curious about the reception strength of the phone because of various reviews and concerns posted here. I own a blackberry Storm and pulled up the settings for signal strength... The BB Storm was registering anywhere from -80db to -89db with a near constant of -84db. I checked his Incredible and the signal strength was almost identical, always within -1db. His bars were fluctuating more then the storm but the actual signal was good. Just thought I'd mention it again that those bars really are not an accurate representation of signal.

I am on Virtuous 2.6 ROM and noticed a curious thing going on with my contact images. I have used Handcent since day one with my Incredible and about a week ago the contact images stopped showing for my most often used texting contacts. I have found that new contacts that text me, or some that havent texted much have images showing, but my family (most used) don't. I have tried everything I can think of. I don't think it is the ROM, I have uninstalled Handcent, deleted cache, reinstalled, deleted all conversations, and even tried Chomp....same results.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new dinc (within the last week) and it worked fine for a while but then suddenly stopped being able to call or text. i get the cause code: 1 and error class: 3 when i try sending a text, and when i start a call i hear an automated voice telling me that my the authentication for my phone has failed. I've tried reprogramming it a few times using *288 option 1, which fixes the problem for a few hours, but then it stops working again. does anyone know a fix or why this happens?

It started this morning after I did the prl update. When I hit force quit the error keeps appearing and appearing.
Did a quick search and found nothing. Out of the blue last week, the vibrate notification for both emails and texts has stopped working. It is still working in vibrate mode for calls though. I use Profiles app and have changed nothing on it.

I am making the jump from a Palm Treo to the Incredible. Came very very close to getting the Droid and then a friend told me to hold out for the Incredible. From everything that I am reading I am really glad that I have waited. Anyway, I use AOL and gmail. How is it expected these email accounts will work with the Incredible? Will I get instant notification of a new email, will I have to set it up to check each account for a time frame I specify or will I manually have to open the email and check it? I know that this may be a basic question, however on my Palm I have to manually go into my email and download messages.
