None of my apps can updates or use my network. With or without 3g enabled. Also when gsm/ wcdma auto is used, I get just texts through, but when I use only one of those at a time. My signal dissappears completely.

Just had the 2.2 upgrade via Vodafone & can`t compose a message. Comes up with "The application HTC_IME mod (process jonasl.ime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Anyone had the same problem or know a cure??

It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWould it be possible to "sync" my apps so that they all connect to the internet at the same time to update, as opposed to each doing them at different times?For instance, my k-9 mail checks for email every hour, but my News and Weather Widget checks every 30 minutes (I think), and my Beautiful Widgets Home Widget checks for weather every 2 hours. I fear that even if I set them all to 1 hour, they'd all be checking at one hour past the time I told them to check, which would still be different times. Is there any way to just sync all of my apps that automatically connect to the internet?

I go to uOttawa and the network is a WPA authenticated with PEAP and MSCHAPv2. The network information is here (WPA Client). I have tried to setup the network and when it is all done the problem comes up that it won't connect to the network or I get a message saying network not within range.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my Vodafone (UK) HTC Desire after the bloated 2.1 release from Vodafone but never got around to flashing a custom rom (after problems with the clockwork recovery Amoled or SLCD). I know wish to install the clean(er) 2.2 official Vodfone OTA release but I'm having trouble. When I download OTA the phone restarts and hangs at a screen with a triangle and explanation mark. I can then get to the recovery screen where I se the error - failed, un-verified signature. what I need to do to install the Vodfone release, do I need to un-root my phone first?
View 5 Replies View Relatedif anyone else who was unfortunate enough to install the latest vf 'update' noticed that all of their sms messages had been duplicated! which as you can image is a pain in the parts if like me you have alot of messages. I have managed to sort out a work around for this. I used 'sms backup and restore' SMS Backup & Restore - Android app on AppBrain to create an xml of all my sms messages I then wrote a quick vb.net program which checks the xml file for any messages with duplicate timestamps and message contents and removes the duplicate. Then you can just restore the edited xml file. I realise some people might be dubious about using an exe file which someone posts on a forum but i have attached it anyway if anyone wants to use it. I could post the code if anyone wants. Anyway just thought that it might help some of those unfortunate souls like myself who foolishly 'updated' their desire

I got so close to putting an official stock ROM on my Desire (so I could push for the 2.2 update) only for it to fail. The ROM was: RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed Then I read that because my phone had already been updated to this vodafone junk that I have lost the ability to rebrand. Is this true? Can't believe I was so close to getting FroYo. I could cry to Vodafone!

The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.

I'm able to access internet through my browser, but when connecting through GTALK, GMAIL, Android Market even Opera Mini 5 it says no connection Available.
I had similar problem on my previous phone SEW995 which i resolved it setting the Proxy Server as HTTP (by default its Multiple).
Is there any way i can do the same on the android?
I bought my Legend in Hong Kong, stuffed my vodafone Sim in and then on my return to the UK negotiated a Sim only data deal with them. How will the Froyo update work for my Legend. Do Vodafone "know" I have a legend and push it out? Or is there some other mechanism?

When opening a conversation, it initiates at the the top and I have to scroll down to see the latest text. This happens even though I scroll down, exits the conversations and re-enters. Quite annoying.
The name of the app has changed from Meddelelser (Messages) to SMS (Text). Just s bonus info.
Bad performance has plaqued my phone since I updated it with 2.2. It's like it has the desire software on the legends hardware. Gets very sluggish after 1 hour of being turned on.
Not that much running either. Anyone else had problems?

I have a HTC Legend phone and I would like to get extra Apps. The obvious place (to me) is via the Google Marketplace but I am unable to get my phone to connect to Google. It bombs out when trying to contact the Google server. This happens despite the fact that the phone has a good mobile signal and is connected to the Internet via the wifi. How else can I find Apps and get them onto my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had the legend now for quite a few weeks since it was launched and my initial excitement with the phone lead me to install a lot of interesting apps from the market, after a couple of weeks usage I was pleased with the Legend apart from battery life not getting much more than 12 hours usage which lead me to use the device along with a small nokia incase the battery died on the HTC. I was having trouble with facebook and exchange contact information not syncing so I did a complete factory reset which cured the syncing but I have also not reinstalled many apps because I haven't had the time. My point is I am now getting nearly 48 hrs from a charge without any battery apps like JuiceDefender or similar which leads me to think the terrible battery life was down to one or more apps using up the power while idle, I am now wary of installing any apps and would like some sort of rating on these apps that show how efficient or not theses apps are. If I do install an app I might wait at least two weeks before installing another to test its battery friendliness.

According to the manual you keep your finger on it until you get a red ring around it and then drag it to the bottom of the screen to the delete bin. Have tried this and it doesnt work? View 2 Replies View RelatedI got an automatic update for 2.1 on my HTC Legend last week, it is now reversing the whole of each thread for text messages. that is it shows the oldest messages first, and i have to scroll through all the messages on that thread to read the new one i have just received. some of these threads are 100's of messages. and i need to keep some of the info on them etc so don't want to delete whole threads. Before the update it showed the newest message first and was great. can't find anyway to change a setting for this.
