I have a htc legend.Im very happy with it but i still have one question.Is it true that apps are installed on internal memory?because i install very much apps. so my mobile is starting to lag. already have a kill all background taskmanager and stuff.but still lags? so maybe is there a way to install an apk file from the internet to the sd card so its not on internal memory?

I have a Acer Liquid Metal on 2.3.6. I have a custom ROM T&L. It came preinstalled with Link2SD. I like to try lots of apps and this problem seems to be haunting me. I reset my phone on the 26th Dec as it was so annoying. I think I have set up Link2SD correctly. I have a 4gb SD with 1gb as ext2.
If I have Link2SD, why do I still have a problem with low internal storage?? I have had to remove some app's but the internal storage always gets lower.
Have I set Link2SD up correctly?
I am getting a Desire next week. How many apps you can install on the internal memory without 'rooting' it? I'll probably install a lot of apps when I get mine next wednesday (I already have made a list of over 30!) and I would really like to avoid rooting it as it will probably void the warranty and I am not sure I could do it anyway - even after reading the step by step guide a few times over. How many apps have you all managed to fit in before getting the memory low message that some have reported?
View 26 Replies View RelatedInstalled the new leaked froyo and now my camera does not work. Both Pic and video app come up but the screen is black. Also my internal 8gb of storage says "Unavailable". I tried formatting the storage a few times and reboot each time and nothing.
I had root my Dinc the old way so I unrooted back to stock, installed the first OTA, then rooted using the Unprovoked tool then installed the 2.2 zip file. Every step went exactly as the videos showed. Can anyone help me?

Is it possible to remove the pre installed apps from my legend,Apps such as peep / stocks / talk ect I simply wont use or will i? According to the manual you keep your finger on it until you get a red ring around it and then drag it to the bottom of the screen to the delete bin. Have tried this and it doesnt work? Help please and also what would people recommend to delete from the pre installed apps

I run Aloysius 2.1 as my ROM, and I run Darktremor 2.7 apps2sd. I have a 16gb sd card, and it is partitioned. The apps that I download are being saved to the sd card. But, yesterday, I had to data/factory reset, wipe dalvik-cache, and wipe SD:ext partition. With the help ofKelmar I was able to get things working again. After I got it working, and did a nandroid restore, I still had to go re-download all the apps that I had. Prior to doing this my internal storage showed around 40-41mb. It now shows only 23mb after re-downloading all the apps I had. I know that the apps are being saved to my sd card, but, I would like to figure out why my internal memory is still decreasing, and why it is so low in the first place since I am running apps2sd?
I have a desire, unlocked and debranded running 2.2, since installing it last Sunday I keep getting a low memory message. I have moved apps to sd, deleted seldom used apps that were on the internal memory and gone through and cleared the cache down on browser and apps.
What else can I do to free up internal memory, is the only way to remove unwanted HTC apps eg. Stocks, tweet etc to root and run a custom Rom?

Is there a way to move the apps from my internal memory to my SD card without rooting the phone? If this is not possible is there any way to free up more internal memory space?

View 7 Replies View RelatedHad my Legend for about a month and a half now and I've started getting 'low phone memory' errors. Looked in the memory lists and it says the only 'biggies' are maps at 4mb each (and there's 4 of them?) and 'HTC mail' at 116mb. I only have my hotmail account, texts, and Gmail and they're all empty. Not really got that many applications installed (4 or 5) and had to remove some just to get the phone to stop reminding me. I've emptied the drafts, trash and cache and it made little to no difference.

According to app brain, I have 69 apps with a total of 140mb. Surely the move to SD built into froyo should move more than 7.25mb? Most of my apps have the feature. I know this is the poorest way of getting apps to SD but surely it should move more than that? I am going to have a go at the noob guide to moving apps to SD later to see if it improves things. So recently I have had my EVO tell me that I am running out of disk space (Internally), so is there an App or a way I can view my internal files and delete them off. I know I can use the Market to delete Apps and I can use the stock Froyo Manage Applications to remove Apps, but I feel that files I download to my phone are going to my internal memory rather then my SD memory. all the help!
