Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Google Apps Not Working On Vodafone Live

I recently bought a SE X10 and it was automatically configured with the APN Settings for Vodafone Live! India
Name = Vodafone Live
APN = portalnmms
Proxy = 10.10.1.100
Port = 9401
Server =
MCC = 404
MNC = 20
APN Type = default,supl
I'm able to access internet through my browser, but when connecting through GTALK, GMAIL, Android Market even Opera Mini 5 it says no connection Available.
I had similar problem on my previous phone SEW995 which i resolved it setting the Proxy Server as HTTP (by default its Multiple).
Is there any way i can do the same on the android?

I've updated my Vodafone X10 to 2.1 but now I can longer download MMS or use the internet.I've looked on the Vodafone website and used their setting but still nothing.

I have had my phone for a few months now and it works great but every now and again one of my apps stop working for example: the facebook app tells me an error has occured whilst fetching data. or the com.sonyericsson app that I don't know what it does tells me the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly and tells me to force close. I~s there anything I can do to solve these minor errors.

After about a week of arguing with vodafone uk who told me everything from
remove the app - not possible you would need root/superuser access to do this invalidating warranty and potentially bricking the phone
its sonys fault ring them - what lies this is! i rang sony they said the same as i thought, not there software (360) not there problem and can not solve even if they wanted too. re install firmware - nope
format device NOPE again but lost all txts apps phone numbers not on sim etc
Need new sim as the one i had was old - got new sim solved nothing and they tried to charge me £15 for the new one GGGRRRRRRRRR
and finally device is faulty will replace the handset - which today reading this forum page

i discovered that the 360 app is NOT even compatable with the X10!! the why the F**K is it on my god **** phone then!!! in place of sonys functioning playnow service! i encourage all vodafone uk customers who see this to share their displeasure on this matter at the above thread.. this is surly a breach in trading standards and has angered me deeply
This whole branding thing has to stop.. or they should at the very least have to change the outer casing so we know it has been F****ed around with by muppets who know not what they are doing with such a high tech piece of gadgetry. Vodafone you are about to get an ear full and lose a Very Long term customer

Hi everyone. I am a Vodafone UK customer. I have the Xperia 10. I was told by Sony Eriksson that the upgrade for the newsystem is already available in UK but now is up to Vodafone to decide when they will release it. Vodafone told me that they have to make some adaptationsbefore releasing it but they don't have a date yet. Can anyone clarify this for me please?

I got the X10 mini pro today & so far so good however.The phone is a vodafone handset that has been unlocked. I have a 3 sim card in it that works but i can't access Planet 3 anymore. if i start the web application it will connect to vodafone & vodafone only. Is there any way i can access planet 3 again? Is there a setting i must change?

I'm getting pretty crazy. The phone is completely unlocked i can access all menus with no problem but as soon as i make a call it says "Call ended" and messages remain unsent with a red exclamation mark. No messages or calls can be received either. I've tried 2 different sim cards with different providers and on both cases the signal is full but the same problem persists.

For 1-2 weeks I cant sync my contacts with google any more.
I have turned auto sync off and just try to do it manually�
It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.

if anyone wants to watch live tv streaming either through wi-fi or 3g then check out this web site,i have just done it and it works on both wi-fi and 3g,even thought the 3g signal is **** where i live. I am on o2 and i was always told they didnt support a live stream but it does work. Check it out and let me know.

I was looking at a Samsung phone today that had a Live Wallpaper that I really liked. It's called Ocean Waves and it's like you are looking through water down into a sandy ocean floor. Nice reflecting light and ripple patterns. So I checked out the Market but I couldn't find it however did I did find it at another site and I was able to download it. The file is a Zip file which contains several folders and individual files. Could someone tell me how to install these files so that I can add this to my LiveWallpaper library? I have installed the Zip file in the download folder of my SD card.

A few days ago I updated to 2.1 . And the phone works great. Now the thing is that yesterday I noticed the battery was draining a little bit faster than usual, I had been using the Particle Storm Live Wallpaper, so I thought that was the reason. What was my surprise when I changed to an static wallpaper and noticed the battery kept going down really fast. I checked the battery usage and it said that Wifi was draining 33%, Screen 20 something and the live wallpaper only 3 %. Is it normal for Wifi to drain so much battery? Does it depend on the use or what? Shouldn't 3g drain more battery than Wifi?

Whenever I try to connect my Xperia to my pc via USB port nothing happens. The problem started after I updated my phone's software not to 2.1 (as its not available for my phone as yet) but another update that the software said was available. Upon completing the update I then reconnected my phone to the USB port but then my computer said there's no drivers installed for my phone. I've tried letting windows search for drivers but no luck with that. I find this strange when previously everything worked fine and I could browse the files on my memory card, but now all I get is no drivers are available. I've tried searching for drivers on line, but there doesn't seem to be none. Is there any way to solve this problem?

I am a new x10 owner, I have 1 dekstop, 2 laptops, and a playstation3 all connected to my router wirelessly and they all work fine, so the signal strength and availability are definitely out of question. I've tried using different security protocols and they all yield the same result, it cannot successfully obtain an IP address. Occasionally it would work, but most of the time it doesn't.

Up until Sunday, my Sat Nav on either Co Pilot or Google Navigation was perfect - it knew exactly where I was and was incredibly accurate.On Sunday, for some reason, both sat nav apps can't seem to pin point my location and think I'm up to 30 feet away from where I actually am.. which then has a problem with navigation as it thinks I'm on another street.I tried re-installing the phone software (using PC Companion, so it was completely a clean install) and this still hasn't helped.
