Anyone having problems with the text application after the recent update? When opening a conversation, it initiates at the the top and I have to scroll down to see the latest text. This happens even though I scroll down, exits the conversations and re-enters. Quite annoying.
The name of the app has changed from Meddelelser (Messages) to SMS (Text). Just s bonus info.

I got an automatic update for 2.1 on my HTC Legend last week, it is now reversing the whole of each thread for text messages. that is it shows the oldest messages first, and i have to scroll through all the messages on that thread to read the new one i have just received. some of these threads are 100's of messages. and i need to keep some of the info on them etc so don't want to delete whole threads. Before the update it showed the newest message first and was great. can't find anyway to change a setting for this.

It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to access my text-to-speech settings, I always get the error: "The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Not sure how to fix this. I've been trying to use utter! and Assistant, but neither give me voice feedback, and utter! tells me that the text-to-speech engine initialization failed. how to fix and/or rebuild the tts engine? I don't really want to do a factory reset or reinstall my ROM. Also, please note that the ROM is not the problem, I've already researched this. Also note that I have Google Voice and Voice Search both installed, and both work just fine. I can input commands vocally, but the text-to-speech issue does not funcion.

I'm currently trying to change the Telephony status via eclipse to test how my application behaves on bad network speeds and dropped connections. But after the last updates to the SDK, now this settings are not working! I set Data and or Voice to denied and my application is still downloading content... Why is this? I tried setting the connection to a lower connection type and my app is still downloading very fast no change!
I tried making a call to the emulator and that works...
I recently attempted to download an update to pandora on my motorola droid, and it completed download but gave a download unsuccessful error message, when tapping on it, it brought me into the market and told me the package was not signed correctly.
My question is, is it hitting everyone or is it just me? and if its just me, anyone know how to fix it?
Is there any way to have a text message cap? I know my friends Desire allows him to make it so each person that texts, only keeps 100 of those messages. After the 100th, the old ones start to get deleted.

Ever since the froyo update (installed fresh from the RUU file), there are random days where my alarm will not sound, both from the stock htc alarm app, and Alarm Klock.At first, I thought it may be gonig off, but I've been muting it in my sleep, but today my suspicions were confirmed when I was awake in time to see it attempt to go off, only for the alarm screen to come up with no sound, despite the alarm volume being cranked up to maximum.I'm honestly at my wit's end with this; I can't find anyone else with this problem, and I've had to buy a cheap clock from CVS to wake myself up in the morning.Has ANYONE else been having this problem? I've already been late to work twice because of it!

I do not see a reason for a FileNotFoundException here - is it a Android bug?
"/data/data" seems strange, too (should it not be just "/data"?).
I was on google.com (mobile view) earlier using the standard browser and after I had performed a search, if I pressed on the top seach box to edit what I had searched for rather than bringing up the keyboard it scrolls me to the bottom of the page and shows the bottom search box and zooms in quite far. I tested this in both orientations and it still did the same thing. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

The screen is broken and the battery has been disconnected. I am hoping for maybe some program that will allow my to plug it into my computer and pull my old text messages off of it or any other ideas on how to retrieve the files.

How do I make the text message box on my legend larger? Its almost impossible to read an average size message back before sending. The screen is so large and remains mainly un-used. The box used for the text message itself is tiny.

Whichever team of jokers that are responsible for the radio implementation on the X10 should lose their jobs. Firstly came the catastrophic battery drain and a ridiculous WiFi bug but thankfully both were fixed in the recent R2BA020 update. Having momentarily restored my faith along came R2BA026 bringing back the bug which makes my WiFi utterly useless!
My phone charging port is broken. I have been unable to charge the phone and connect it to the pc. Can anyone advise if it is possible to still get the update. I have taken the phone to a few places to see if the port can be fixed but no one is guranteeing they can fix the com port.

I really prefer a separate in box and s separate box for my send messages. Most of the messages I send and receive are not conversations, so for me it isn't a good option for me. I already tried it with hand cent, but this also didn't have that option.

Can someone please tell me how to install the Speech-to-text option on an HTC legend?
*I've tried using the htc_ime_jonasl_hires_22b2... It would not install on the htc even after I've enabled the IME under keyboard options.
When I start the standard radio app, it keeps scanning. in the same time it starts sending text messages that could not send previosly. during al that it also calls a contact for a second. and then calls again and again and again. it all stops when i stop the radio.
