I just updated my Legend, it said it was to do with the camera. It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

I have a Wi-Fi router D-Link Dir-615. My HTC Legend recognize the router but after enterring the key to unlock the connection, it fails to connect. 2 PC are connected and the HTC touch of my wife too, and all three work fine.

I will fix it soon, but I'll need a detailed guide on how to do it, I have seen some forums on how to do it but it doesn't seem that easy. I'll need a digitizer from fleebay & some tools, unless someone on the forums can do it?

I am pleased with the Legend, but at times things come up that confuse me somewhat. Recently a friend and I were taking photos and I thought it would be interesting to compare camera quality of her BB Curve 8900 with my HTC Legend. Below are the photos.

Is it just me or is something wrong here? (Forgive me naivety!) Also, could it be that I need to fine tune some settings or something? I hope somehow I can improve these shots.. the Legend's assumed superior camera was one of its main attractive characteristics for me!

I wanted to pair it with my new Legend, but for some reason when I press Scan for devices in the Bluetooth setup, my PC shows up, my neighbor's Nokia shows up, but the headset never appears. I thought that Bluetooth devices were pretty universal; shouldn't my Legend see this headset and pair with it without problem?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got my girlfriend the HTC Desire, and myself the HTC Legend.I love the phones, but when i use the internet my phone goes to a crappy "mobile" version of a website, while if i type the same URL into my girlfriend's Desire it loads the full page.I have looked at the recommended threads and the only relevant one doesn't have a solution, it only said to download the Dolphin browser, which i did, and i like but the problem is not resolved.I got this new phone because my old Nokia N96 (N-Ninety-Sux) had crappy internet too.

Now, problem what i downloaded was a beta version and expired already. i can't bring back the original htc keyboard. i am stuck with this thai keyboard. When opening a conversation, it initiates at the the top and I have to scroll down to see the latest text. This happens even though I scroll down, exits the conversations and re-enters. Quite annoying.
The name of the app has changed from Meddelelser (Messages) to SMS (Text). Just s bonus info.
Bad performance has plaqued my phone since I updated it with 2.2. It's like it has the desire software on the legends hardware. Gets very sluggish after 1 hour of being turned on.
Not that much running either. Anyone else had problems?
Don't know if any of you can help,my location on the home screen on my legend seems to have stuck on where i was yesterday & has not relocated back to where i am now.gone in the programm & it says the place name i was yesterday with current beside it in brackets.added my home city,but cant seem to get it as my current location.Synced a few times this morning & wireless network is ticked,should i tick gps satellites?

Can anyone give a feedback on the quality of the screen compared to Desire/Neexus One. It is one of my biggest concerns getting a screen with such a low resolution when most new devices have higher screen resolutons.Do pictures look blurry in comparison? blurry Text?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn every phone i have had for many years now, pushing any of the buttons whilst the phone's screen is off activates the screen briefly (usually just showing the clock or prompting for the screen unlock). This is both useful for ensuring the phone is switched on but is just as useful for ensuring the phone is switched off (night, meetings, flights, cinema etc).
The only way of activating the screen to check the Legend's on/off status appears to be to push the power button. However, if the phone is off, this simply switches the phone on! This strikes me as being a completely daft design decision.
So, is there any way of checking that a Legend is off without switching it on and then off again?
(Yes, i know there are silent, flight safe, meeting and other modes...)
Just had the 2.2 upgrade via Vodafone & can`t compose a message. Comes up with "The application HTC_IME mod (process jonasl.ime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Anyone had the same problem or know a cure??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got an automatic update for 2.1 on my HTC Legend last week, it is now reversing the whole of each thread for text messages. that is it shows the oldest messages first, and i have to scroll through all the messages on that thread to read the new one i have just received. some of these threads are 100's of messages. and i need to keep some of the info on them etc so don't want to delete whole threads. Before the update it showed the newest message first and was great. can't find anyway to change a setting for this.
