When I press the unlock button, and then flick down on the unlock screen, my phone sometime just moves from the main screen over 1 or 2 screens to the left. Not everytime, but randomly it just started happening. Is it an app? A setting?

I have been reading a lot on this issue since my 3 week old Eris has started moving the home screens and cursors to the far left but only when charging. Is there a fix to this I can do myself? I know if I go to Verizon (corp store) they will offer to replace it with a FRU model (refurb) and I will not have that since this phone is brand new. Since being a Verizon customer for 4 years I have had FRU replacements all resulting in a replacement phone that has even more issue's than the one it replaced which then resulted in a multi model FRU to a new phone (Samsung Gleam (2 replacements) to a new Env2 (3 Env's) then to an new LG voyager that lasted 2 years.What worries me is that Verizon has dropped the Eris and if I cant get a new Eris replacement I know they are going to throw the cinder block sized Moto Droid at me.

The first day it showed the right town then switched to a different one and will now not go back to the right one. I've deleted the widget and tried adding it back, refreshed it, and my location in gps is turned on.

also sometimes when I lock the phone and then when I unlock it, it doesn't always go to the home screen. it might jump around.
Sometimes when I hit the home screen or down error right above it, the desk clock appears.
this is all very strange, just wondering what all of your thoughts are. Could it be a particular app that I downloaded.
I have a ViewFlipper which contains a few linear layouts.I need to allow the user to flip through them.I've seen other apps which have arrow/triangle indicators on either side of the screen, which, when pressed, flips to the next view in the set.

My company recently bought Motorola Droid phones for us to remotely adjust the amount of irrigation water released from a reservoir. To do this from a PC we place the cursor over the appropriate button on the screen and hold down the left mouse button. I can't figure out what to do to accomplish this on my phone. I've downloaded the log main ignition app and am able to remotely access the computer that controls the reservoir but can't hold down the button. Verizon is no help. They say there is probably an app for that but they don't know which one. Any suggestions

If so anyone know how to cure this problem? I've only seen it occur when on the main screen but no where else.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the left edge of the screen, there is a line going down the side that almost looks like its suppose to be the far right side of the screen because when i move to different homepages, it shows up in that little line first as it swypes across (if that makes any sense). Has anyone else had any screen issues similar to this? This kind of sucks. I was happy that I haven't had any major problems with my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible for a couple months, and this just started happening a couple days ago. First, my home screens shifted to the left (as if I was doing it with my finger). I would leave the screen on, lay it down on a table top, a few seconds later, shifted to the far left again. I pulled up some things with text input boxes, and again it kept trying to shift the cursor to the left.
I checked and since it's still under warranty Verizon will swap it out. It only happened for a couple days, and has quit since (happened a few days ago). Any ideas what may have caused it? Think it's worth going ahead and swapping it while it's still under warranty? Hate to run the risk of it doing it again later, of course knowing my luck I'll get a screwed up one when I swap it out!
I have accidental created shortcuts which I would like to delete and I cannot find anywhere on the phone to do this. Does anyone know how too please? Shortcuts I have created: phones, contact, facebook, google talk
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know how the hell this happened. There was absolutely no chance that this could have happened, but it did. The scratch is on the screen towards the bottom left and is deep enough that if you scratch your nail over it, you hear the concavity.
I don't believe this. I'm not able to call customer service at the moment, but I think I can get them to replace the phone. Honestly, I was so careful with it! I don't know what happened! I needed to vent. Scratches can still happen everyone.
On the upper left hand of the screen their is 3 objects that look like pages with a check sign on them and a plus next to them what does that mean? I am a noob to android.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnybody have this screen issue, on left side of screen towards top(the very side part of screen where the edge is), there seems to be a shinny silver like 1/2 inch reflective part that should be black, so when you watch video in horizontal mode like tilt it sideways, it reflects back, very annoying, but a very small little part of edge of screen.

Has anyone been able to disable the screen in which you have to swipe down to unlock the phone? I'd like to use just the unlock pattern option like on the Moto Droid, but I haven't been able to get rid of the swiping screen altogether.

It dissolves after a couple seconds but it still annoys me. It only happens on the screen with that widget and not with other home screen pages. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.
