If you are on 1 of your 7 home screens other than the middle (main?) one, and you press power, then press it once again and proceed to unlock the phone, does Android still have up the last home screen you were on or does it automatically return to the middle one?

I have had my Droid for almost a month now and i love it,,, but there are a couple of really annoying things that it does, and i was wondering if it was just me, or if anyone else has these problems too...
I will hit the unlock button on the top and start to do my pattern, and all the sudden, it says that i lifted my finger... and takes two tries out....
I will hit the unlock button and start my pattern and the screen will shut off like there is no activity and i will have to hit the unlock button again, and start over.
Oh and how about this, tried both handcent and stock messaging app, i regularly have periods of long delay from both receiving and sending text messages, i will be sending one text and get a text sending overload message also.... then i will have periods of sending and receiving the exact same text 10-15 times in a row.... this happens all of the time and its extremely annoying....
Is there a way of telling the phone with apps (not necessary for the proper functioning of the phone) start at start-up and which don't? I hate for unnecessary apps to auto start.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEverytime I turn the screen on and unlock I get this message on my home screen with the clock/wx widget. It says, "Set new clock successful!" It dissolves after a couple seconds but it still annoys me. It only happens on the screen with that widget and not with other home screen pages. View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I let my phone sleep long enough to go into a "deep sleep" it is very slow after I unlock it. For example, my phone has been in my pocket for a half of an hour and then I get a new text message. I turn on the screen, and slide to unlock, but I can't pull down the notification bar for about 10 seconds or so, I have to wait for the analog clock to set the right time (which it lags through) and then it's fine after that. I don't have this problem if I lock it then unlock it right away.

Is there a way to detect when a user unlocks the phone? I know about ACTION_SCREEN_ON and ACTION_SCREEN_OFF, but these seem to be fired when the screen switches on/off on pressing the power button, but not actually when the phone gets unlocked on pressing the Menu button...

I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.
I really love my Incredible, and have found many of the bugs are due to me still learning the system and it's apps. However, the one thing that BUGS THE HECK out of me is the unlock procedure. I hate grabbing the phone, adjusting my grip to hit the (power/unlock) button, readjusting my grip, then sliding the screen lock. Is there any way to use the optical joystick button to initiate the unlock procedure, as I think this would make using the phone SO much more enjoyable. I don't like fumbling with the device everytime I use it, MAKE IT EASIER HTC! Anyway, what are you're thoughts on this issue?

I forgot my numeric password to my phone. I do not get the option to put in my gmail user id and password, and i dont know how i would reset my password! (have tried over 100 times and I do not get the option to use gmail user id and password.
However, I have full root access, as well as ADB (running unrevoked forever)
Can someone help me out and reset my password?
I can't seem to find a place to set a phone start up/power up sound. Any body know where this is or if we can do it? Haven't had any luck looking at previous threads.

Using Launcher Pro, if that might be causing it. I don't think it was doing this before the last Sprint update, but don't know if that's the cause either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?

View 2 Replies View Related1st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

Ii haven't made any big changes to my Desire and all was working well. suddenly a couple of days ago i noticed that things slowed down significantly.
exmples: when drawing the unlock screen, there is a big lag till the home screen comes up huge lag in opening programmes or menus
so, the only app i recently installed was the BA (british airways) android app. could this have affected the whole phone?
what steps can i take to check what might be wrong?looking at the SPARE PARTS app, i can see that CPU usage shows a huge bar for "init".i don't know if this is a normal process? anyone got info on this? might have nothing to do with my phone lagging of course.
