On the left edge of the screen, there is a line going down the side that almost looks like its suppose to be the far right side of the screen because when i move to different homepages, it shows up in that little line first as it swypes across (if that makes any sense). Has anyone else had any screen issues similar to this? This kind of sucks. I was happy that I haven't had any major problems with my phone.

Anybody have this screen issue, on left side of screen towards top(the very side part of screen where the edge is), there seems to be a shinny silver like 1/2 inch reflective part that should be black, so when you watch video in horizontal mode like tilt it sideways, it reflects back, very annoying, but a very small little part of edge of screen.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThere is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter having my Desire for no more than 2 weeks, I started to get dust under the screen on the left hand side about half way up. Though frustrating as my phone is never out of some sort of case, it is not too bad, doesn?t affect the phone in anyway and you can only really see it when the screen is off. I have been to my local T-Mobile shop and they have said they will happily send it off to be cleaned but to wait until it gets worse as I will be without my phone for a couple of weeks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was sitting at my local Dunn Bros surfing the web on my EVO when I noticed a line that divided the screen in half. If held in the landscape postion the line divided the screen left right and if in portrait upper and lower. As time went on I noticed a lot of off color streaks that ran the length of the screen. Now about an hour later the whole screen is very washed out looking, and no my brightness is not on high either. Text is almost unreadable. It almost looks like when you take a magnet to a CRT screen. And no my EVO has never gotten wet, dropped, or abused in anyway.
Anyone out there experienced this. It really sucks because I don't have the screen separation issue or any other issues that people are experiencing but now my screen is completely dying.
Currently I could find tab widget which located at the upper side of the screen. (ex. Dialer, Contacts) How could I put the tab widget at the left or right side of the screen? I had checked the reference of SDK and some parts of the source code but I could not find a way to do it. Could anyone kindly give me advice or clue about how to do it?

After owning a first gen iphone and a pre, the droid is my favorite. But if this problem only occurs on a fraction of droids i'd like to consider an exchange.
Have a D1 running stock. Was working fine, then the strange happened. The left side of the phone stopped working. None of the icons on the screen or the back arrow. Everything else seems to be working. If I set it to the phone log the phone will begin to make calls on its own. So do I go for a new one or is there a fix for this?

Specifically, we need an interface that looks exactly like a TabWidget interface. However, having the tabs on the left hand side is an absolute must. We aren't going to be deploying this application to any android phones, its for an in house device, and as such don't have any problem violating any design considerations that the android platform might have.
We already have a working prototype that hacks together the functionality we need using a combination of focus listeners and list views. It isn't pretty, and we aren't very confident in it just yet, but it works for the time being.
What we'd really like is to throw all of our prototype UI code away in exchange for using the built in TabWidget. However, since TabWidget is hardcoded to only work with the tabs on top, this isn't really an option.
So, we are hoping that someone out there has a patch, or set of patches, or perhaps a custom class, that handles the TabWidget functionality with the tabs on the side instead?

How can I layout 2 TextViews and a SeekBar on the same line in my layout xml file? I know But how can i specify TextView (one on the right, one on the left) to use only the width it needs to display the string in the TextView while SeekBar will use up the rest of the line? And i don't know the text vale of each TextView in the beginning and these TextView can change value in my application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe left lower side of my battery cover doesn't fully snap into place, causing an annoying gap. It was never like this, but I took the cover off to remove the battery, and when I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't snap. I tried a different cover and it still didn't fit... I have no idea why it wont snap in all of a sudden. Anyone else have this? I'm on my fourth epic, If I have to go to #5 I might just say forget it and save my upgrade

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my incredible yesterday, it's all going well, except that I noticed this line of pixels, not really any color in particular, but when you move the phone and look closely, they are very slightly distorted, and it makes them stick out slightly. I've noticed this problem on TVs before but I never understood it. I'm thinking it may be the invisible shield I had the person at the store install for me? I'm hoping it's not the screen...but here's a picture. I understand it may be hard to see, but if you move away from the picture you can sort of see what I'm talking about.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible for a couple months, and this just started happening a couple days ago. First, my home screens shifted to the left (as if I was doing it with my finger). I would leave the screen on, lay it down on a table top, a few seconds later, shifted to the far left again. I pulled up some things with text input boxes, and again it kept trying to shift the cursor to the left.
I checked and since it's still under warranty Verizon will swap it out. It only happened for a couple days, and has quit since (happened a few days ago). Any ideas what may have caused it? Think it's worth going ahead and swapping it while it's still under warranty? Hate to run the risk of it doing it again later, of course knowing my luck I'll get a screwed up one when I swap it out!
Is it possible to scratch the screen? I have this line in the middle of the screen. Looks like a scratch but kinda doesn't. When I swipe my finger across it doesn't feel like a scratch. I noticed it not too long after I received the phone. The line looks to uniform it kinda looks like a stain.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI don't know how the hell this happened. There was absolutely no chance that this could have happened, but it did. The scratch is on the screen towards the bottom left and is deep enough that if you scratch your nail over it, you hear the concavity.
I don't believe this. I'm not able to call customer service at the moment, but I think I can get them to replace the phone. Honestly, I was so careful with it! I don't know what happened! I needed to vent. Scratches can still happen everyone.
On the upper left hand of the screen their is 3 objects that look like pages with a check sign on them and a plus next to them what does that mean? I am a noob to android.

I was wondering how i would do this myself to any app that i choose
