HTC Incredible :: Louder Phone Calls
Jun 5, 2010the call quality isn't the best but I can deal with it.what il cant deal with is how low the volume is even on max. Any way of making it louder than it already is?

Jun 11, 2010I couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.

Nov 10, 2009I swear, sometimes I feel like my phone's vibration is louder than its ringer. When I'm in class or something, I am afraid to leave it on vibrate because its vibrations are very loud. Same thing as in the library.Anyway to soften the vibration?

HTC Incredible :: Way To Set Phone Screen Timeout During Phone Calls?
Jul 6, 2010Is there any way to set the screen timeout while you are on a phone call? There are lots of times that while on a call you need to hit a number to transfer and the screen times out way to fast and you end up accidentally, while trying to get the screen to wake up, that you hit the wrong number whlie the screen is dark. There has to be a setting somewhere for this. Any suggestions?

May 12, 2010Coming from a blackberry, I REALLY like the "phone calls only" setting. It meant that I didn't have to hear alerts all night for emails and text, but if someone called me I would know. is there a similar setting, or at least an app, that provides this function? I think it's a good idea for those of us who don't have a land line, and dont want to hear alerts all night but forget to take off silent in the morning.

May 29, 2010However i have come across a few problems. One of which is when someone calls me or I call them depending on what "mood" my phone is in the person on the other line cannot hear me. Also since about two days ago it's been happening almost everyday, now the hitch pitched "Beep" is accompanying the problem of the person on the other line not being able to hear me. I can get around it, I have toe reset my phone twice. Yep, twice. I reset it the first time and it does nothing. Still same ol' high pitched "beep" and no one can hear me. No matter how long I wait on the phone or how many phone calls I make. After the second reset it works with no problems.

Jun 29, 2010When I'm on a call my phone's screen goes off and stays off, and NONE of the buttons work - power button, volume, home, menu, back, search nothing.The call is still going through and I can talk and hear just fine, it's that nothing else works on the phone. I can't even hang up on the call.I have to wait for the other caller to hang up first.I've installed Keepscreen, adjusted display settings, and have done a hard reset. It still behaves the same. Any ideas?

Jul 19, 2010I'll be talking on the phone and might receive a text message or gmail from someone. My phone immediately vibrates twice to notify me. Not only is this unpleasant when I have the phone to my ear, but it's also an annoyance to the person I'm talking to as they hear the vibrate sounds. In fact any time I'm talking to my girlfriend and my phone vibrates, she asks "who is texting you now?" I really just want the notification turned off while I'm on a call. May 21, 2010It seems every time I get a phonecall, I go to remove the phone from it's holster (leather horizontal type) and look down at the phone to get the "missed call" message... Doesn't matter if it's on the 1st, 3rd, 5th ring... it seems like it's auto-ignoring based on my attempts to get it out of the holster. Can someone tell me if this is a magnet deal, a setting i'm setting, or if there's an option I can turn off/program I can install that makes it harder to ignore calls? Perhaps I'm just brushing the ignore button? Unrelated, it seems if I get an email and don't look at my phone, it continues to beep at me every few minutes until I look at it, is there a way to tell it "notify once, then stfu"?

May 1, 2010I just got the HTC Incredible and one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is how to set incoming phone calls to vibrate, yet play the notification sound. None of the profiles seems to make that combination happen. If I switch it to silent, no sound or vibrations happen for calls or notifications. In the vibrate profile, both calls and notifications only vibrate. In normal mode, I can't get calls to vibrate only. If I slide the call ringer volume all the way down and slide notification volume up, it switches it to silent mode. If I have call ringer volume up one notch from silent, it still plays the ringtone. Is this something I can accomplish or do I have to have silent calls only if I still want notifications played?

Apr 30, 2010having problems receiving calls. When I call the phone from another line, nothing happens except its logged as a missed call. The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works.
