Is there any way to set the screen timeout while you are on a phone call? There are lots of times that while on a call you need to hit a number to transfer and the screen times out way to fast and you end up accidentally, while trying to get the screen to wake up, that you hit the wrong number whlie the screen is dark. There has to be a setting somewhere for this. Any suggestions?

So I have my Screen timeout set the way that I want it (10 minutes) and it works fine except for when I'm on a call. The screen will go blankafter just a few second, even if I have the keypad on display and using voice menus and such.
Is there a way to keep that display going when I'm on a call - no timeout or long timeout?
I have the screen timeout set to 1 min which works fine until I use the phone. When using the phone the screen times out (and locks) in about 5 seconds. This is a real pain when using voicemail etc and you need to interact with the keypad.

To save on battery, i keep my phone display timeout to 2 minutes. The problem im running into is when the screen times out, it kills the navi and i gotta restart it....very annoying and sucks if a turn is coming up

anyone have this problem w/ the moment whereby your face touches the screen and causes accidentally pressed keys, things to move on screen, etc. associated w/ touching the screen? I think I remember this happening once or twice on the moment but admittedly, I don't use it much so not sure if the lock screen was on, screen was off, etc. Just looking to see if anyone if affected by this or if it's a known problem.

I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

Screen timeout constantly defaulting at 30 seconds. I'm not sure if it does it randomly or only after reboots, but I prefer it at two minutes and to just put it to sleep manually with the lock button.
So there's this problem with my Desire, I can call and receive calls and everything. But once I'm in a call, the standby button will not turn the screen on, and no matter how many times I button mash all the soft keys, I get no response. However if my phone is feeling good, it'll show me the screen for a split second before hiding it again! This is a huge problem, I have no idea what the problem could be, as the standby button works fine when not in a call.. Anyone know what would be the reason? (Keep in mind, my HTC is literally a day old in my hands).

It meant that I didn't have to hear alerts all night for emails and text, but if someone called me I would know. is there a similar setting, or at least an app, that provides this function? I think it's a good idea for those of us who don't have a land line, and dont want to hear alerts all night but forget to take off silent in the morning.

One of which is when someone calls me or I call them depending on what "mood" my phone is in the person on the other line cannot hear me. Also since about two days ago it's been happening almost everyday, now the hitch pitched "Beep" is accompanying the problem of the person on the other line not being able to hear me. I can get around it, I have toe reset my phone twice. Yep, twice. I reset it the first time and it does nothing. Still same ol' high pitched "beep" and no one can hear me. No matter how long I wait on the phone or how many phone calls I make. After the second reset it works with no problems.

Well any time I get a little bit of sweat on it the touch screen goes haywire, ie the lock screen bar just twitches. And after it unlocks it the home screens twitch back and forth. any body suggest some thing other then a blue tooth, for this problem? oh and anyone else having this issue. Not only is this unpleasant when I have the phone to my ear, but it's also an annoyance to the person I'm talking to as they hear the vibrate sounds. In fact any time I'm talking to my girlfriend and my phone vibrates, she asks "who is texting you now?" I really just want the notification turned off while I'm on a call. View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems every time I get a phonecall, I go to remove the phone from it's holster (leather horizontal type) and look down at the phone to get the "missed call" message... Doesn't matter if it's on the 1st, 3rd, 5th ring... it seems like it's auto-ignoring based on my attempts to get it out of the holster. Can someone tell me if this is a magnet deal, a setting i'm setting, or if there's an option I can turn off/program I can install that makes it harder to ignore calls? View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got the HTC Incredible and one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is how to set incoming phone calls to vibrate, yet play the notification sound. None of the profiles seems to make that combination happen. If I switch it to silent, no sound or vibrations happen for calls or notifications. In the vibrate profile, both calls and notifications only vibrate. In normal mode, I can't get calls to vibrate only. If I slide the call ringer volume all the way down and slide notification volume up, it switches it to silent mode. If I have call ringer volume up one notch from silent, it still plays the ringtone. Is this something I can accomplish or do I have to have silent calls only if I still want notifications played?
