I remember seeing this once. My power button is getting quite the workout, so I was wondering what app I should download to get that lock icon, which will allow me to use the volume buttons instead.

I have installed Tasker and I'm new to using it. My favorite music player is Playerpro, but what I was wondering is what would i need to put in variables or actions, if I wanted to use the volume buttons to press skip or back while the screen is off and i'm using the app.I would use Gravity Box to do so but Cyanogen or any of its tweaks and mods are not compatible with the SM-G730v.

View 20 Replies View RelatedIn the past, when listening to music on my Incredible, if I locked the phone the music would continue to play just fine. If I wanted to pause/play/skip a song, all I had to do was hit the power button and above the "Slide to unlock" bar there was a music control bar.
Now, my music still plays, but those buttons are gone from the lock screen. This is a pain because in order to pause my music when someone comes to my desk at work I have to hit the power button, unlock the phone, slide down the notifications window, wait for the music app to load then hit pause.
Anyone know how to get these buttons back?
Can anybody test and see if the following is possible on Incredible handset. Makes the camera a LOT more usable for Evo and I am hoping to upgrade soon :

View 32 Replies View RelatedThe volume button won't turn the volume up but you can turn it down. i took it to verizon and they ordered another one, should be here Wednesday so thats good. anyone else have this problem? they said at the store that this is the first they've seen with the volume button. i think it may be due to the verizon silicone case and the how the volume button is covered, maybe we've been mashing down on it too hard? either way its getting replaced so I'm happy. on another note on that same phone friendstream won't load, it keeps force closing everytime you try to open it. anyone had this problem?

It's been charging for hours now so I know it has battery. When I plug in the USB cable, I hear the little bell that means USB debugging is turned on but there is nothing on the screen. Any idea what I can do to fix it?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm a former Palm Pre user who recently purchased a Sprint Evo. Although I miss the hard keyboard, I'm learning to use swype. I have a newbie question. Is there anyway to turn the screen back on, once it has turned off, other than pressing the on button. On my Pre, all I had to do was slide the keyboard to turn the screen back on. The Evo's power button is difficult to press, especially using the phone with one hand. Looking forward to any answers. Maybe there is a program that will turn the screen back on when I shake the phone?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI can attest to the fact that this works. It even brings the little red x's back. Looks like new. I just tried it on my wife's LG Env3. She washed it a few months back and both stickers (on the battery and the phone) were completely red. Did the rice/oven trick and all was well, no problems whatsoever. Well lately she's been having some battery problems ,her phone has been shutting off randomly at times as if the battery is loosing connection with the phone. No corrosion issues from the wash, I honestly think this issue is unrelated. Well, it turns out that there was a problem with the Env3's battery/connection design and the Verizon rep. was happy to send her out a replacement phone right away. When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

ok so so about an hour ago i was playing with my phone and everything worked. I set it down and then go take a shower and i hear it chime so i get out and towel off and go to the kitchen where i left it and tried turning the screen on to see who it is....nothing
the screen is black and the none of the buttons seem to be responding, the only thing working is a blinking orange led light. so im thinking the battery is dead and i can just put it in the charger i do that and the blinking stays for about 30 seconds and then stops and i tried turning it on again and its still black. Normally i can just turn the phone on when its charging but this time no.
I have noticed this as of today. I have been trying to hit some buttons like Home and Back but the phone isn't responding... Anyone else getting this problem? Also I have noticed that When I turn my phone from off to on the Wi-Fi just auto starts. Anyone else having these issues? Any Fixes? I am using Steinheil Crystal Clear Screen Protector but have had it on abou a week and just yesterday the phone started being un responsive. any ideas?

The only issue I have is I keep bumping the volume buttons. Why don't they have an option to Lock the volume by pushing both buttons at one time? Push both of item again and but unlocks the volume.

1. increase media / ringtone volume
2. pass the event to my application

Any way of completely disabling the physical volume up/volume down buttons (specifically on an SG Mega 6.3)? I never, ever use them, other than to put the volume backup having accidentally depressed volume down! If there's any kind of app or tweak that will disable them that would be great. The only caveat is that my device isn't rooted.
