View 8 RepliesMy volume buttons seem loose. Is that normal you think? Perhaps its a petty thing to think about, but play (I can hear them rattle a bit if I shake the phone gently) in my experience leads to quick wear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI think it might be normal, but my volume rocker is a little lose in its fitting. It's not going to fall out or anything and it looks normal, but it does wobble quite easily. anyone else have the same?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI wanted to see who else has rattles above/around the camera and who has a loose volume rocker. I have seen both of these topics briefly covered on this forum and others. *Some believe the rattles come from the camera's auto-function feature, while others dont have any symptoms. I can tell you for sure, its not the battery, battery cover, headphone jack, volume rocker, kickstand, memory card or memory card clip. View 13 Replies View RelatedAnyone else have a loose volume rocker, it actually moves around a bit without me even touching it. It doesn't change the volume settings or anything(unless i press the button) but it does make a sound when I move the phone around. It's kind of annoying.
View 33 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that the build quality of the Droid is a bit shoddy? Maybe its just me. But my power button is very loose/wiggly, and the screen tends to wiggle a bit when the keyboard is hidden. That and some of the buttons on the screen seem to be only partially lit by LEDs.
View 20 Replies View RelatedMine feels a little loose, and it make a rattle sound, am i the only one with this? its like the plastic isnt tight or something, but when you press it its nice and firm to "click" up or down.
also the bottom of the screen/whole left side where the KB is kind of dips down about a hundreth or tenth of an inch wen you press something on the screen on that side, im guessing thats normal for a slider.
Is this normal or is this a Hardware issue?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a phone junky, I've had a bunch of phones including all the bberry's. Love my incredible, it's like going 10 years in the future. The only issue I have is I keep bumping the volume buttons. Why don't they have an option to Lock the volume by pushing both buttons at one time? Push both of item again and but unlocks the volume.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to use volume buttons to control a variable parameter in my application. I use Activity.onKeyDown to get notified when the button is pressed but the media volume is also increased. Android is doing something like below when I press the volume key:
1. increase media / ringtone volume
2. pass the event to my application
Is there a way to avoid increasing the system volume and use volume key only for my application?
Any way of completely disabling the physical volume up/volume down buttons (specifically on an SG Mega 6.3)? I never, ever use them, other than to put the volume backup having accidentally depressed volume down! If there's any kind of app or tweak that will disable them that would be great. The only caveat is that my device isn't rooted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy is it hard to find headphones with volume buttons? It seems like something that is an easy thing to implement. Why can the iphone do it and not android.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find an app to disable volume buttons ?
I can manually do it and reboot by editing gpio.kl but I need a quick way,
A way to set it to change and auto reboot with a click or an app that does it without any reboots would be what I need
Can anybody test and see if the following is possible on Incredible handset. Makes the camera a LOT more usable for Evo and I am hoping to upgrade soon :
How to use HTC EVO volume buttons for camera zoom
I've had the Telus Desire for just under a week now and everything about the phone was working great until yesterday when the side volume buttons just stopped working. I can't adjust the ringer volume on my home screens, or the media volume when I'm running any apps or the in call volume either. I feel like I've accidentally triggered some volume lock, but I've searched for answers and come up empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened or how I can solve this? They were working just fine up until yesterday, and I don't believe I installed or changed anything since the buttons were working.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a GS3, and i really like the software so i don't want to install CM10 or 9 just to get this feature. I'm currently using poweramp. is there anyways i can change songs with the volume buttons?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to adjust the volume (ringer/media/navigation) I press the button and sometimes it's okay but mostly nothing will happen for up to 5 seconds and then all of the sudden it'll catch up and shoot right to the end. If I press it repeatedly instead of holding on, it normally takes a few presses before the first adjustment then it'll work pretty much okay but it might do a few moves then stop again randomly. The most annoying time is when I'm on the phone and I can't hear what's being said! I do not want to install a volume control app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else annoyed by the fact that the volume and power buttons are positioned at the same level on opposite sides of the phone? When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. The power button really should have been up top.
View 25 Replies View RelatedVolume Buttons have stopped working. How annoying. Just got everything setup my invisible shield on. And I am going to have to get a new phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI remember seeing this once. My power button is getting quite the workout, so I was wondering what app I should download to get that lock icon, which will allow me to use the volume buttons instead.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been loving my new X and have experienced zero issues with it until tonight. I noticed that there's light leakage around the volume buttons, where the top and bottom components connect. As I trace around the edges, everywhere seems to fine except at that one connection point. Now I'm really concerned that my phone has a physical defect and may need to be exchanged. Has anyone else noticed this? Should I be concerned and get an exchange? I'm really bummed that my phone may have a problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem after using cm10 for a few weeks. suddenly my home and volume buttons aren't working most of the time. When I want to decrearse/increase volume and press the volume button (no matter if i press it fast again and again or if i wait a few second between pressing) it only goes one step louder every 5 seconds. Also when I want to lower volume. i also cant use cwm recovery cause my home button only works maybe once per hour. Now I have twrp touch recovery.
What i tried:
- wiped everything several times
- flashed gb and ics stock firmwares
- flashed different kernels
I dropped my phone from a height of less than 2 feet (knocked it off a table) and the back cover and battery fell off/out. So I popped it all back together, but just noticed that the volume buttons on the side of the phone are missing!
