I have installed Tasker and I'm new to using it. My favorite music player is Playerpro, but what I was wondering is what would i need to put in variables or actions, if I wanted to use the volume buttons to press skip or back while the screen is off and i'm using the app.I would use Gravity Box to do so but Cyanogen or any of its tweaks and mods are not compatible with the SM-G730v.

In the past, when listening to music on my Incredible, if I locked the phone the music would continue to play just fine. If I wanted to pause/play/skip a song, all I had to do was hit the power button and above the "Slide to unlock" bar there was a music control bar.
Now, my music still plays, but those buttons are gone from the lock screen. This is a pain because in order to pause my music when someone comes to my desk at work I have to hit the power button, unlock the phone, slide down the notifications window, wait for the music app to load then hit pause.
Anyone know how to get these buttons back?
Rather than ask where I can find this mod (it's been asked in many threads already), I'd like to make a request to the great android development community. This mod is pretty much essential to me, and it seems to be hard to come by in non-CM based ICS and JB ROMs, so what I'd like to ask is:
Is is possible for someone with the proper knowledge to elaborate some sort of guide, as general as possible, for AOSP and perhaps MIUIv4 Roms, if that is possible at all? I and many others might want this mod but don't have Roms that support it. My programming skills are extremely limited but perhaps with a guide, as general as it might be (given the differences in the code for each phone), I could get something done..
I remember seeing this once. My power button is getting quite the workout, so I was wondering what app I should download to get that lock icon, which will allow me to use the volume buttons instead.

Everything is running fine on my phone so far but with the exception of my clock's alarm volume.
For example:I set the alarm volume to max, I go and set my clock alarm to ring and when the alarm rings the volume is set to very low.When I check back to verify the volume, the volume is set to very low. I am very sure that I have set it to max though.
I have tried to reset my phone to factory settings, it didn't work..
On devices with onscreen keys, the key layout goes Back, Home (long press for Google now), MultitaskOn devices with physical keys, as we well know, whe have back, home, and menu (sometimes with search, long pressed to voice search) in a pretty unpredictable order.But how would you activate Google now on devices with these keys? Long pressing home is multitask.... so is multitask moved out a different key (long press menu?) Or does Google now move?
The most logical choice would be assigning it to long press search (replacing voice search) but a lot of phones *coughgalaxysphonescough* don't HAVE the search button...

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo at school i was charging my phone on the PC there. All of a sudden my phone turns off. I try to turn it back on and it does turn on. It shows the Motorola logo for a few seconds and turns back off. I went home that day and used by default charger and charged it. It showed the green light. The phone turned on and did the same thing, it shows the Motorola logo for a few seconds and turns back off and if i leave it the process repeats. The green light also flashes a few times. When i press both the volume up and down at the same time, it shows options to either normal powerup, recovery, fastboot, factory and tools. I tried normal powerup, recovery and factory but it would just turn on showing the motorola logo for a few seconds and turn back of.When i unplug the phone and try to turn it on, it wont work.

After update to 4.3 I lost Swedish input language. Trying around I mistakenly set Thai display language for the phone, including setup. I do not speak Thai and do not know know how to set back English.

No driver available (or at least nothing works). I need to roll it back to jelly bean, then I should be able to get the correct driver and root it. So here's the 64 thousand dollar question: How can I take a device that's already been updated to kit kat and install jelly bean on it?

I have a Note 3 Bell Canada and have not touched it at all other than the OTA update from 4.3 JB to KK 4.2.2. I of course read the woes and pro's of KK 4.2.2 after I did the update!! grin! and do not like the restricted access to my SD card folder creation file transfers etc and want to go back to JB. "A", can I go back with Odin and a stock Bell JB for the note 3, and have it all back like I did before the update...."B" What about my trip counter etc? Will that be effected?

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. To recharge a sim, I have to call #100# then enter a selection from the resulting text menu, in this case by typing a 1. The problem is that as soon as the call connects and the text menu appears, the keyboard has gone from the screen, so I have no way of typing a 1. If I tap the keyboard icon to bring the keyboard back on screen, the call automatically disconnects. Is there a way of 'locking' the keyboard on screen? (Unfortunately my grandchildren aren't in the same town as me).
View 3 Replies View RelatedSome time ago i installed a certificate on my phone cause I needed it for my college Wifi.
It automaticly set Screen lock on my phone.
After I uninstalled it I cant get the swipe unlock on my phone back.
I tried restarting the phone, I deleted the certificate but it still wont let me use swipe unlock.
When I try to change it it says "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage."
And only Pattern, PIN, and Password are possible. Swipe, Motion, Face unlock, Face and voice cannot be chosen.
I know there are some 3rd party programs like 'no lock' but is there any way I can fix this?
How do you get lock screen notifications on android? I want them to look nice. I love the notifications on iOS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am looking for an app that will automatically turn the lock screen on and off. I am currently running the new SkipLock and it almost meets my needs. The way it works is when I connect to my wifi network at home, my lock screen turns off and there is no need for me to enter a pin when at home. As soon as I disconnect from my wifi network, the lock screen is turned on and my phone is protected.
I hate the PIN lock on 4.3. It's terrible. Just a PIN pad that looks like 5 year old designed. I would love to have the option to do what ever lock screen I would like. Not just password or pin like the above mentioned app only allows.
It's been just 8 hours or less, the android phone never dropped from my hand and it never got any physical damage. The screen started to go crazy in the morning when I woke up, the screen wasn't working properly and it was crazy, later I hit the power button three times then the screen started to function. And at the lunch time it started again and now I can't use the screen. The notification bar (or something you pull to use wifi) isn't working. I can't pull it down to use Bluetooth or WiFi or Mobile Data (I don't have SIM yet). Well, it never happened like this before (even if it happened it caused me less damaged). The screen went crazy, even if I wasn't touching this thing the screen was functioning all by itself. It's Android 4.3 and it's latest update for my phone and the next OS is releasing next month.

Has 3G but no 4G and I never used 3G network.
Why is my phone's screen not working properly? Do I need to use function reset to use it again?
I heard that the way they coded the screen rendering engine in android 4.x makes it quite difficult to record. I have a Droid Razr (XT910) and I've tried multiple different screen recording programs. I make videos for YouTube, I use BlueStacks to record android videos. (I would use Genymotion, but my recording computer has an AMD processor (It doesn't have virtualization support)). I also have another year on my 2 year contract which really sucks. (I was planning on getting the Droid MAXX).
I've already tried Disabling HW Overlays and Forcing GPU Rendering in the developer options (Lots of people said this worked). That didn't work. I also tried Disabling HW Overlays, but keeping GPU Rendering off, and visa versa. Still nothing.
I was thinking of putting a custom ROM on my phone, but I'm not sure how I'd do that. (I've done it before and bricked my old phone).
When I change wallpaper it change both lock screen and the main area. Can I change just the lock screen and not the rest. Or is the only way by paying for widget locker.

Now since I have got it back the screen will freeze up on me and I have to lock the screen then go back in and I can use it again. Is there a way that I can fix this issue other than turning it in. I am running 4.3 and it is from Cricket if that makes any difference.
