Any way of completely disabling the physical volume up/volume down buttons (specifically on an SG Mega 6.3)? I never, ever use them, other than to put the volume backup having accidentally depressed volume down! If there's any kind of app or tweak that will disable them that would be great. The only caveat is that my device isn't rooted.

A way to set it to change and auto reboot with a click or an app that does it without any reboots would be what I need
I have a GS3, and i really like the software so i don't want to install CM10 or 9 just to get this feature. I'm currently using poweramp. is there anyways i can change songs with the volume buttons?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem after using cm10 for a few weeks. suddenly my home and volume buttons aren't working most of the time. When I want to decrearse/increase volume and press the volume button (no matter if i press it fast again and again or if i wait a few second between pressing) it only goes one step louder every 5 seconds. Also when I want to lower volume. i also cant use cwm recovery cause my home button only works maybe once per hour. Now I have twrp touch recovery.
What i tried:
- wiped everything several times
- flashed gb and ics stock firmwares
- flashed different kernels
My device is Galaxy Y duos lite, and I have installed LUNUX OS V1.6i and I did not know to disable the vibration feed back for softkey buttons.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter installing cwm recovery twice, now my tablet(micromax fun book pro)does not boot..it only goes in recovery mode on starting...Major problem is, in this recovery mode my volume keys have stopped working , only power button works for for selecting 1st option I.e reboot.
So unable to do anything, can't even select a ROM backup that I have in SD card..
I've had an issue where my alarm volume mysteriously get set so low that I don't hear it go off. Is there a way I can freeze the volume or change something that will disable the volume control for the alarm?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe volume buttons/rocker on my phone does not allow me to change to media only. If no media is playing it only changes the ringer volume.
Imagine this setting, in my car I have volume all the way up, I get out of car and put on headphones, volume is too loud. I ether play music to where my ears bust or I go into settings and change the volume there. When I try to turn it down immediately, it changes the ringer until I let that volume display disappear. Which means I'm stuck listening to it too loud until I let it disappear to where I can change the media volume.
My little rant is over, how do I force the volume buttons to only be media!
I've been using this phone for a days now and I'm a bit annoyed that the volume buttons seems loose already especially the down button.

The only issue I have is I keep bumping the volume buttons. Why don't they have an option to Lock the volume by pushing both buttons at one time? Push both of item again and but unlocks the volume.

2. pass the event to my application

I've had the Telus Desire for just under a week now and everything about the phone was working great until yesterday when the side volume buttons just stopped working. I can't adjust the ringer volume on my home screens, or the media volume when I'm running any apps or the in call volume either. I feel like I've accidentally triggered some volume lock, but I've searched for answers and come up empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened or how I can solve this? They were working just fine up until yesterday, and I don't believe I installed or changed anything since the buttons were working.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to adjust the volume (ringer/media/navigation) I press the button and sometimes it's okay but mostly nothing will happen for up to 5 seconds and then all of the sudden it'll catch up and shoot right to the end. If I press it repeatedly instead of holding on, it normally takes a few presses before the first adjustment then it'll work pretty much okay but it might do a few moves then stop again randomly. The most annoying time is when I'm on the phone and I can't hear what's being said! I do not want to install a volume control app.

When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. I noticed that there's light leakage around the volume buttons, where the top and bottom components connect. As I trace around the edges, everywhere seems to fine except at that one connection point. I've seen these buttons (highlighted in red in the screenshots) in various places; Used for selection of a single item or as "enabled" or "disabled", they just don't look right. Especially in Astrid, they don't look like they do in the screenshots from the market. what are these buttons called (they're not radio buttons or checkboxes, so I'm assuming they have a name)? My favorite music player is Playerpro, but what I was wondering is what would i need to put in variables or actions, if I wanted to use the volume buttons to press skip or back while the screen is off and i'm using the app.I would use Gravity Box to do so but Cyanogen or any of its tweaks and mods are not compatible with the SM-G730v.
