Wanted to update all the pics for my contacts, so i did what I always do.. removed Facebook for HTC and wanted to sync it back.. only this time, it wont update any photos, just syncs for a second and thats all. Anyone else have this issue today?

I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. I know for a fact im putting in the right information. It also was having a problem sync my twitter contacts in before this incident happened as well. WHAT IS GOING ON?
View 26 Replies View RelatedI logged out of Facebook through the Android App then logged in and all is well. I dont know why it had to come to that, it should do it automatically.I have even done battery pulls which should theoretically log me out, oh well, it works now.I have done some searching around and there was a problem with Facebook a couple weeks back, but I dont think this has anything to do with that. I added a new friend on Facebook on the 25th of July, I also added them manually into my People on my Inc. For whatever reason when I go to the Link part of the contact and go to the Facebook Link, it says to pick from my friends. He does not show up in my friends if I am browsing through the link area. I can go to facebook from the phone and from the computer and he is there. It is making me insane.Also the profile pics are not updating, and havent for many months. My wife's picture has not changed on my phone's end in 4 months, but on the actual Facebook site it has.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my droid incredible. Seems like a decent phone but for some reason my facebook pics won't sync with the comparable contacts. On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? I don't mind leaving it like this but I'm wndering if it will always how me as being on fb if i'm always signed in from my phone.

2. This is just a silly question but if I plan on buying the extended battery, does it really matter if I turn my phone on while charging it? I am having it shipped to work and I have been teasing my one co-worker who has a storm about this phone for months so I am sure she will want to see it!

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy friendstream and facebook app aren't working. Whenever I open friendstream it loads for a minute or two and then just tells me I have to force close it. And as for facebook the actual app works, but when I try to use the widget it tells me problem loading gadget. But if I delete it, reinstall it, and don't download the update it works fine. Is this just me or is it a problem with the app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo my new incredible doesn't update like my blackberry did. I checked the settings and the notifications are selected, but nothing comes through. When I open the app and goto the home screen and then notifications, I have to force a refresh to see my responses, etc.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn the Facebook app, when you go into your Home, you can select Notifications. I'm assuming this will show you anything new such as friend requests, etc.. It doesn't show anything for me. I have reset the phone 3 times and I still cannot get this section to work. I also go to Menu>Refresh and it still says "No notifications". I know I have some notifications pending because the desktop and mobile site both say I do. Does anyone else have this problem? I have also uninstalled any Facebook updates and it still does not fix this. Am I missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've rooted my Dinc and got skyraider 2.5.2 with full backup through titanium and nandroid.
Here are my questions.
1) Is there a way to transfer the exact status of my previous contact to my new rom? I've linked and synced all my contacts with facebook and stuffs and it looks like all those links have been disconnected. I don't want to link again manually.
2) Why does titanium not backup SMS? I've restored my titanium backup and none of my SMS got restored. Luckly I've used SMS Backup & Restore to backup, so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I'm misssing something in titanium.
3) When I'm restoring apps with titanium, I have to keep giving permissions to install apps (clicking install button). I have around 80 apps, and I would much prefer if it's automatic without asking for my permission. Is there a way to do that?
Is there no Facebook Sync in Jagar? Do I have to load sense to get that to work?

Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

Ive had this problem for several days
I also cant download from the Market, the download appears to start & says 'Starting download' but never progresses, i assume this could be to do with the sync not working.
I cant sync my google accounts ('sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shorly)
Google maps says 'no network connection'
Play store says 'server error'
Gmail says 'waiting for sync, your emails will appear shorly'
Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
The Facebook App from the marketplace is newer (it has an message box without needing a browser, etc.).... and when you are about to download it, it mentiones it will replace the Facebook for HTC (not the Facebook widget...the whole thing).....
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo, somehow I accidentally installed the Facebook app in the Android market, which overwrote my Facebook HTC app that came built in. Did I screw anything up? AppBrain told me to upgrade it (HTC version), and upgraded to market version. Is there a difference? Should I care? Is there a way to undo what I have done? Seems like AppBrain has a bug in there, so be warned! Or it is just me being clueless, I suppose.

But is there a way to not sync all my friends on facebook to my contacts but still have it signed in on the EVO? I have too many people on facebook that don't have numbers so it gives me a million email addresses I don't need or even doubles some of my contacts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first received my Evo about a week ago, without doing any manual work my pre-existing contacts were synced with facebook. Facebook didn't add contacts, it just put a picture beside them and gave me some additional details on them, like birthdays and emails. Since, I've messed roms and the like, and have lost this. Now when I try and sync (even on the stock evo rom) it will only pick up a few of my contacts, about 10, and thats it. Not only that but their is an annoying little "f" facebook logo in the corner of their pictures too. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work again? Currently I'm running Myn's Warm, a sense rom, and going to settings > applications > facebook for sense > sync contacts.
Also, is there anyway to tell it not to add every single fricken birthday to my calendar as well? I didn't ask facebook to sync events and birthdays to my calanders, thats just too much going on.
