HTC EVO 4G : Accounts Sync / Facebook Not Working

I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

My Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

one can have multiple twitter, email etc. accounts on Android (running 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note), but only one Facebook account. However, I have two of them and I need *both* their contacts sync'd to the contacts database (one is my "private" profile for close friends, the other is for work colleagues etc). Also, the built-in Facebook authentication has the same problem as the contact sync - I don't want to run games like Real Racing under my "public" FB profile.
Any way to make two FB profiles on one device? Maybe with something like a "virtualization"?

Wanted to update all the pics for my contacts, so i did what I always do.. removed Facebook for HTC and wanted to sync it back.. only this time, it wont update any photos, just syncs for a second and thats all. Anyone else have this issue today?

I saw previous post about the facebook syncing not working. Whats the issue? I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. I know for a fact im putting in the right information. It also was having a problem sync my twitter contacts in before this incident happened as well. WHAT IS GOING ON?

I have the Samsung Moment on Sprint and I gotta say I do love everything about it, but on thing is troubling me. When I go to: Settings>Accounts>Add Account>Facebook
It just takes me back to the "Add Account" screen. There's no option to even input my information to sync the account. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

I have one gmail (personal) account, and one google account (for work, not email, just google services account).My main account is my gmail one on android and it's fine.But I would also like to see my work contacts and calendar.I added it to my "accounts & sync settings" but it always said "Sync is OFF", no way to turn it on for this account.Just to make it clear, my work account is NOT a gmail account, I use my work email address as a log-in for all other google services (mainly calendar and contacts)

I know a lot of people are having issues with gmail pushing and I am having that issue where it won't push at all. Additionally, when I actually go to the setting and hit "sync now" it won't do anything. I am not receiving any sort of emails or updates.Anyone know how to fix this?

Is there a way to only have certain accounts sync automatically? I have my phone set up with my gmail account as well as an Activesync account at the office. I would like to have the gmail account always sync but the work email sync manually. Does anyone know how to do this?

I put in my gmail and facebook accounts during the initial setup of the phone. Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.
I tried to unsync Contacts in both of these apps, but the contacts didn't go away. Is there some way to delete all of these?

Does anyone know if there's a way to set the sync interval on accounts via sync adapter in pre-froyo? They've added the API to do so in 2.2 but I'm curious to know if there is a workaround in 2.0-2.1. (My backup plan is the alarm manager) What's odd is there doesn't even seem to be any preset interval either .so accounts are never synced!

Recently I got kinda excited over the new Froydvillain update cuz of Froyo, so I went to flash this rom. However I found out (I should have known too) that there's no Sense in this build. I tried to make do with it but I guess I'm too used to HTC's widget (Especially Friendsteam despite the umpteen times that it failed!). Anyways I flashed back to VillainRom12 which I was using previously and damn,
Friendstream still doesn't work cuz there's this error message when I try to access the accounts and sync settings page.

is there any way one could sync multiple Outlook accounts to the same phone? I've tried to add multiple accounts that aren't Outlook, and I can't do it.
Or, what is a good work-around to try? Porting the accounts to Google calendars and sync them that way? It's for work, so I don't know if that would be the best option.

i've been on my Xperia X10 for a few weeks now, I feel like i manage the phone and Android pretty well, but there is still one thing that I can't figure out. All the SE online help, the phone manual, phone electronic manual, even my phone carrier, all say that i can link my phone to facebook in my Online Service Accounts....Strange thing is that I do not have facebook listed there.

Ironicly i'm interested only in facebook. I've been searching this "bug", if that's what it is, for a while now, and I have not found anywhere mensioning anything of facebook not beeing listed there. Maybe I've done a poor search, but now I'm curious to see if anybody on this SE forum might know why facebook might not be listed in the Online Service Accounts.

I got my HTC Hero yesterday and im pretty impressed. There is one thing thats bugging me though..
Is it possible to set up multiple facebook / twitter accounts on the phone? I mean I have one account for personal and one for business, i would like to be able to switch between the two...
I've configured all my emails up fine but it seems i can only have one facebook and twitter account. So at the moment Ive only got my personal account set up. Any thoughts?

I have a Nexus One running the stock Android 2.1. I've got my normal gmail account that works flawlessly, and also my company's email hosted on google apps. Both accounts are set up, and both work for email, but only the gmail account seems to be able to sync my calendar. Is this a limitation of Android, a setting in the calendar, or a problem with the built-in calendar application? If I can't get the corporate calendar to show up, it seems like a pretty big limitation.

I am new to the Android Universe (Picked up my Sprint HTC Hero yesterday)I have a question about google accounts and email sync.
1st, On my previous phone (Windows Mobile) I had my gmail account set up so that my email is "pushed" to my phone. I thought that the android phones were automatically set up to do that, or do I have to do something to get this to work. I only ask because it seems to take a while to receive emails on my phone.
2nd, Before I got the phone I was reading up on the features, and a lot of the posts I read made it seem like I could access my google reader section, saved maps, sync bookmarks, and anything else I had with my google account. But, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. The most I have figured out on the maps is latitude, and nothing else with reader, bookmarks, etc.

I have 2 Exchange accounts and I have been able to configure both of them for Push notification to my Droid 2, I was wondering does anybody know how I can just open the second account in case I wanted to read an email that came in earlier that I have already looked at and therefore does not show up in my notifications any longer? When I open the Email application it only shows my Default account and it does not appear to give me any options to open and look at my second account.

I've tried searching around Google and this forum and couldn't find an answer to this question, so figured I'd post.Basically I do all my syncing manually, whereby I have a number of items in my Accounts & Sync list (a Facebook account, two Gmail accounts, Twitter, etc) get synced when I hit a shortcut on my desktop. These all work fine.My problem is that I have other things that I want to sync as well - namely the Weather Channel app, the other Facebook app (the one that isn't Friendstream), Tripit, etc., and it seems the only way to sync these manually is to open the program and hit sync/refresh. I don't want to use a scheduled sync.I want to be able to add them to the main list in 'Settings > Accounts & sync' so that I can do all my syncs in the one go, the native/official ones as well as these other ones, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this.

Using Eclipse 3.5.2, SDK Platform Android 2.2, API 8, revision 2 In Settings --> Accounts & Sync --> Add Account I do not have the option to add anything but an Exchange Account in the emulator. I should be able to add a gmail account. Am I being stupid or is there a problem with the emulator?

I'm looking for an app that backs up the "Accounts & Sync" settings for all my accounts, before flashing a new rom. I tried "MyBackup" from the market and it backed up my Sensation quite nicely, but it doesn't restore the accounts and setting up everything again was difficult.
Any app that does a backup that includes a backup of the "Accounts & Sync" settings?

I have the phone running Android 2.3.4 (rooted).I have two Google accounts setup on my phone. I use both of them as there are apps purchased from both accounts.
I would like to sync contacts from my phone to BOTH the accounts. As of now, contacts are being synced to just one Google Account. In the "Accounts and Sync", I see both the Google Accounts listed, with the "Sync Contacts" option enabled for both accounts.
Is it possible to sync contacts to both GOOGLE accounts from the phone? If yes, how?

Facebook syncing to contacts was working great until tonight and it is driving me insane.I have two of the same facebook accounts synced.I'm sorry if this is confusing but basically, in Settings>>Accounts and sync: I have two facebook accounts synced but they are the same account.However, I do notice that the two icons are ever so slightly different.I am wondering if this is somehow syncing my facebook account through the app as well as through android.The reason why this is driving me nuts is because the accounts link to the contacts and for several contacts I have two facebook profiles synced, in addition to the phone contact, and gmail contact.This is really bugging the OCD-ness in me. Also when I search a contact to call or text for example, it might show one of their home numbers as "mobile" since it doesn't really know what type of number their facebook number(s) are.This problem started today when I shared my first picture through my phone onto facebook. I found it weird that it asked me to sign in again since I thought I had already done so through the app 'm sorry for such a long post, but I am wondering what I should do.Does this mean I should get rid of the facebook app?
