Samsung Vibrant :: Facebook / Twitter Sync Not Working

I saw previous post about the facebook syncing not working. Whats the issue? I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. I know for a fact im putting in the right information. It also was having a problem sync my twitter contacts in before this incident happened as well. WHAT IS GOING ON?

This morning my phone said it needed an update. So i gave it the update and the phone turned off then back on. Well tonight i just noticed when i was looking in my contacts that some of my address contacts had no pictures. Some of them have the facebook account on there name and some do not.. I tried to take off facebook and re- sync it but its not working..

My Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

Ok, so I successfully added my facebook and twitter account using the motorola versions. I can't seem to figure out how to sync new contacts added AFTER I already synced the initial time. Does anyone know how to get newly added contacts sent to the phone?

Recently I buy a HTC Hero and now I have some problem.
1- Android market do not work. When I run android market nothing appeared.
2- I cannot login to my twitter and I do not know why. I check the password twice from my computer but on hero not work.
3- Is it any way for updating facebook status faster? Is there any facebook widget?

When I go to settings and then accounts and sync and add my twitter account, it doesn't sync Contacts, just says Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly. My contacts used to sync, but ever since i cleared cache for twitter app, all got removed. Now they are not in the list for me to sync them with contacts again.Byt the way the Sense twitter app syncs fine, but that only syncs peep and friend.Anyone else encounter this sync issue?

Just curious what everyone is using for Twitter. I used the official Twitter for Android when I first got the Vibrant and hated it. It was nothing like the iPhone app. So I tried Twidroid because I had used it before, but still didn't love it. Tried Seemic, decent app. Found Touituer and love it. But I also have the Beta of TweetDeck which I think is awesome! Can't wait for the full release. I also found Twicca (Beta) But haven't tried it.

I saw in a couple of reviews that the Vibrant can display Facebook Albums in its built in Gallery. All was done nicely and very natively.I have a unit here and I see no option to do such a thing. Is this something that was removed in the final firmware or it is a setting in front of me and I cannot see it?

I'm not receiving either the notification on the upper left of the screen, or the ringtone. Notifications and the ringtones are setup properly, as I know. The only time I see that there's an update, is when that application is actually opened. This unit is set to update at the minimum.

Wanted to update all the pics for my contacts, so i did what I always do.. removed Facebook for HTC and wanted to sync it back.. only this time, it wont update any photos, just syncs for a second and thats all. Anyone else have this issue today?

I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

I've had this phone since Tuesday and it's not made it from morning to night one time. I am using it, yes, but I thought that was the point. My usual routine is wake up, check the twitter/facebook feeds, log in and check email, browse a few web pages, and get moving. today, i did all of that and took a walk and listened to a cd for an hour on the doubletwist player. i took a single photo. and made one very short phone call. it is nearly dead. it's been off the hook since 830 and it's only 3. I could do all this minus the music playing part on my blackberry, which was ancient 8830 and i would still have juice by midnight tonight. and it should be noted, blackberry constantly pushed my email--i have k9 set to manual, as i do with the facebook and twitter/social media widget. so that instantaneous access that's supposed to be so useful and exciting--i don't have it.
i've done all the usuals, turned off the bluetooth, the wifi radio, the 4g radio (the whole point of the damn phone), lowered screen brightness to the very lowest number, making it totally useless in bright daylight and i mean completely useless-can't see to answer a damn call), i have the screen lock to 15 seconds. i have the autosyncing off, i have the whole phone crippled, and it's about to die. does anyone have any suggestions? i was using launcher pro, but want to go back to the standard touchwiz--only bummer is i can't swap out the messaging icon for handcent which i installed over the regular msging app--because ppl said it uses less battery drain-- but not sure how to disable the old one. i am using live wallpapers, but again, how much of a drain can they really be overall? i turned off the animations, is this a lemon? will rooting make it better? will the new upcoming os make it better? or is 6 hours of usage all i can expect? srsly, i would like to know, because if that's the case, i will go back to the blackberry. i don't care how fancy the phone is, if you can't use all the fun things without it dying, then what's the point?

I'm a new VZ Samsung Fascinate user. I got the phone 4 days ago.
I have noticed that my bars are never full. I even compared it with my friend's Nexus One w/ her T-Mobile service and she had 3 bars when I only had 1.
I constantly get zero or 1 and occasionally 2 if lucky. I thought I was in a bad service area but I'm sitting at home where I had full bars before getting this one - same Verizon.
What could be the cause? Do I need to take it to VZ store (I got the phone from BestBuy) and have them take a look?
My apps - Facebook/Twitter/Google Finance/Etc are all slow and often fail because of low connectivity. It's really annoying and I'm not getting full 3G impact on my phone for $30 that I'm paying!

I can't seem to get a handle on how to get the calendar on my vibrant to sync with my google calendar. If I schedule something on google calendar it syncs to the phone and if I delete that event on the phone, it deletes on the google calendar. But an event created on the phone doesn't show online. Mail and contacts seem to work fine.
Help with this issue would be great. Is there a setting I'm missing? If there are any links to online resources about interoperability between the phone and things google, I'd appreciate that as well.

How can I get the default facebook widget on launcher pro? I'm not sure if it is actually a facebook widget, I think it was the accounts widget? Where you can sync with your gmail, my space, facebook etc; I installed Launcher Pro and can't find it anywhere.

Two things i want to talk about im coming form a cliq xt which was cool phone but i got tired of being on 1.5 and moto for delaying the updates. So i bought the vibrant yesterday my two question is is there away for me to see if someone commented on my post on facebook with out having to scroll all the way down to find my post in the feeds and updates. Second i been hearing that task killers messes up your phone is that true or not?

My vibrant's wi-fi connection is not working. I'm not sure if I've ever used it before but I have my internet connection set up and it says obtaining IP address and then it says unsuccessful. I'm not sure why this is happening I think it has worked before. Does me paying my phone bill have anything to do with my wi-fi not working?

after i got the ota update the gps was working really good and fast now a week later its back to being the same as before it takes forever to lock on and when i do gps test it says im locked on to 3-4 out of the 11 in view. just last week i used the navigation and it got me perfectly to sixflag which is 90miles away from. i haven't rooted my phone ever and i have the j16 build on it

Facebook syncing to contacts was working great until tonight and it is driving me insane.I have two of the same facebook accounts synced.I'm sorry if this is confusing but basically, in Settings>>Accounts and sync: I have two facebook accounts synced but they are the same account.However, I do notice that the two icons are ever so slightly different.I am wondering if this is somehow syncing my facebook account through the app as well as through android.The reason why this is driving me nuts is because the accounts link to the contacts and for several contacts I have two facebook profiles synced, in addition to the phone contact, and gmail contact.This is really bugging the OCD-ness in me. Also when I search a contact to call or text for example, it might show one of their home numbers as "mobile" since it doesn't really know what type of number their facebook number(s) are.This problem started today when I shared my first picture through my phone onto facebook. I found it weird that it asked me to sign in again since I thought I had already done so through the app 'm sorry for such a long post, but I am wondering what I should do.Does this mean I should get rid of the facebook app?

I have an Exchange account setup on my phone (Samsung Vibrant, running CM7.2).
Is there some way to prevent it from syncing email? I only want the calendar to sync, but I can't find an option to disable email syncing. Any apps that can accomplish this?
Constantly syncing email all day is really draining on my battery.

So my browser stopped working. I tryed changing some setting so that it would stop showing me the mobile view of websites and from then on it force closes and says:
The Application Web (proxess/com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly/ Please try again.
dumpstae_app_201009191206_com_android_browser.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copu out log.
